This is a picture of Chen Guanbiao, a Chinese businessman, who is giving out cans of fresh air to people in Beijing. Lately, the smog (air pollution) has been so bad that the government has told people to stay inside and asked factories to operate fewer hours in attempt to make the air cleaner. Do you live in a city with bad air pollution? What should be done, in your opinion, to make the air cleaner? What about canned air - is it a silly idea or a necessary product?
I live in a city that the air is not so bad. So this idea is amazing for me. But I don't think it's a bad idea, it's good for emergency. For example, someone have to go outside for something important, but the air pollution is very serious, it's hard to breathe. So he can that the can of fresh air. And it's also convenient to take in the bag. However, the can of fresh air also has some lacks. people will waste too many cans if they don't have awareness of recycling. Besides, government has to set the special recycle department to handle the cans. It will spend a lot of money, so I think it may increase people's load. In my opinion, we should solve the pollution problem instead of inventing some supplement like the can of fresh air.

ReplyDeleteMy hometown is Beijing. Every one knows Beijing's air is so bad. That's why Chen Guanbiao sells cans of fresh air in Beijing. I think the reason why Beijing's air is so bad because Beijing is the capital of China and there are lots of people live in Beijing. Nowadays, Beijing's government is trying their best to make the air become better. They decided to reduce cars in Beijing at the beginning of last year. They planted many trees in Beijing. And in my opinion, canned air is good idea. When you get in some emergency troubles, you can use canned air to save yourself. However, we should solve the pollution problem completely so that we can breath the fresh air all the time.

ReplyDeletei live in my city where is with bad air pollution, there has many car, bus or motorcycle. i hate cars because it makes more air pollution, so i usually take a walk to instead drive. i love to walk because my dad told me take a walk after you have food is good for your healthy, even you can alive until 99. i think if people want to have a good environment for their future or child. they have to keep walking and make less pollution even none of air pollution. i know it is hard to do, but if everyone realize this point, the world will become more warm. such as this production, canned air is a good way to let people get fresh air, this is a really great thing to people who live in a city with bad air pollution. i think everyone know the air conditioning is a better air pollution maker in the world. so many people in south china use the air conditioning. it makes much air pollution because people in south china need to spend the winter with it. anyway, i hope people can make their city get better look by themselves.
ReplyDeleteShanghai where I lived in don't have that bad pollution as Beijing , but I think "fresh air" is a really important product. Not because it can give people better feeling, but also a warning for everyone. It shows that the pollution is so serious that we even need to get canned air.
ReplyDeleteIn the city where I live is a VERY polluted air, I would even say my whole country suffers from pollution. People in Kazakhstan do not really pay attention on air and it's pollution, we have a lot of cars and vehicles which obviously cause pollution. There are millon different things you can do to keep the air clean. For example, strop using your car so often and use bike, put more plants in the city they will help to recycle carbon dioxide, use electricity as a fule in your cars etc.
ReplyDeleteIn my hometown Dalian the air is not as bad as Beijing, but still a little bit polluted. There's still so many factories so that the air will be polluted by chemical objects. In my opinion, one way to get fresh air is to plant more trees and plants in the city. The city will then look like a garden. The plants help a lot with the photosynthesis of the plants. Then I think another way to protect our air is to get less car pollution. Nowadays in China, there are so many people who have private cars. Obviously, the cars will easily make the pollution. We can get more clean buses for going out and getting to work. Lastly, I think everyone should take care of the place we live. If we don't pay any attention in the pollution things we are now facing, we can't get clean air and better lives.
ReplyDeleteShanghai is a big city and as a bad result the air is polluted. When I was living in my grandparents' house which is in the countryside the air is pure. Usually, in a big city, the factories will release a huge amount of dust and the cars will also release much vehicle exhaust. It has cause extremely serious environmental problems. Before 2012, some people believe that our act to the environment had caused serious problems and the nature is going to revenge on us. However, the end of the world did not come so people continue to pollute the Earth. I think the canned air is just an sarcasm to all of us. We really have to put this problem on our agenda and find out a way to solve it. The way we solve it can cause inconvenience on our daily life, but rather than death, this is obviously a better solution. It is unfair to leave the next generation of human a polluted place to live on. They are innocent and deserve better lifes.

In my hometown the air is very bad, we cannot see blue sky most of the time, there are too much traffic and factories in the city, They make the air very bad. I think there are a lot of ways we can protect our environment. For example, we can go to school by public transport or walk, less traffic less pollution, maybe we can move factories to some place where no people and animals live such as a desert.

ReplyDeleteMy hometown is in NingBo. That is a city in the southeast coast of China. The air over there is good. Although there are also many factories working in these cities, the air is better than Beijing. In my opinion, I think air pollution is a serious problem. It's necessary to deal with it. But in other hand, the industry development is important, too. Maybe we can find a way that develop industry without pollution somedays.

Global warming, sea level rise, and air pollution. Those serious environmental issues affect people's life. After the industrial revolution, Our daily life got a vast amount of changes. A variety of electronic products brings more conveniences but also the factory makes excessive pollutions to the environment. In recent years people focus on the problem of air pollution. As we know, Beijing's air pollution has soared to hazardous levels recently. It's a difficulty choice. Chinese economic growth all depends on the heavy industry. For this pathetic effect. We can't do anything about it. Because government won't sacrifice economy to rise quality of life. Citizen are only able to stay at home. Instead, Chen's action is selling the hope of people. We eager to see the problem could be solve straightforward. Unfortunately, it is not going to be easy. The ideal of selling fresh air is a really silly thought. However, to some degree, It comforts people's heart. I don't think Chen sold fresh air cans that improves air problem. But he is a outstanding business man. that's a undisputable truth.

I admire this action done by Chen Guanbiao, who is giving out cans of fresh air to people in Beijing. As we all know, Beijing's air pollution is so severe that any citizens are suffering. The reason why this man do this charity is to provoke people's attention to our environment. It's very important to look at the surroundings in which we live daily. From my prospective, it is irony that Chinese sacrifice our nature to develop many industrial things. Human being needs fresh air and healthy food. Without this premise, our living standards cannot be guaranteed. So, the canned air is a necessary product to help us or to save us.

But production industry create jobs and makes the economics steady growth. But in 10-30 years later, China will change, turn to the country like America or Japan. This is what Chinese government doing now, like American and Japanese did to China 30 years ago. Chen Guangbiao is a leader of a environmental protection company. He has about 1 billion dollars. I think if he really just sell these products like cans air. He couldn't be this rich. I think cans air is a really good way for advertisement, more people know him by the cans air. People from the world will discuss this news and now they know who is Chen Guangbiao. I think maybe people will think this is stupid, but I think he's smart, he successfully makes himself famous. Actually the idea of selling air is not a idea from Chen Guangbiao. There was a American rich businessman, he went to Japan for travel.He was really enjoyed the air in Mount Fuji, so he convened researchers to store the air in cans and sale. It was really popular in Japan. And they also success in America and Europe.The product was named cans of "fresh air from Mt. Fuji". By another hand, if he really try to makes money by cans air, I think I will buy one to support him, because he is a good guy. He donate about 300million dollars to charities, it's more than 20% of his assets. China is still in process to a developed country, once China is, I believe the populations problem will solve really quick.

For most of developing of developed country, the air pollution is the most important thing that we need to deal with. China is the third big country in the word, but the population is the biggest one all over the world. This cause many air pollution. my hometown Sichuan's air is not as bad as Beijing, it is a little bit wet in the air. but i feel very comfortable in my hometown.
ReplyDeleteMy hometown is Harbin which in northeast of China. The air there is not very good because it is an industrialized cities. I heard my mom said that the quality of air in Harbin turn bad because the Chinese new year, there are a lot of fireworks and chemical stuff release in the air. I feel that we should the air clean and the government should control the fireworks. Also, I really esteem the behavior that Chen Guangbiao made and it is important to keep the health for people; therefore,the air needs be cleaning. The cans of fresh air can make the air population better and it has many benefits for living. I hope everyone wil do something helpful for the air; for examples, less smoking, less firework; and less industry.

But if we think for other air condition, it is not bad idea. If u live in bad air place it is good think to use cans of fresh air. Because, to live in a bad air is dangerous to our life. On the other hand,trees can prevent the sand storm as a natural shield. Also，people should walk more than driving. This will reduce the discharge of the carbon. As for canned air, I think it is not a good idea, because they can not supply the demand of people. Also i think it is not a necessary product to our life, because our planet has not used up all the oxygen. Maybe in the future, the technology will grow up. ReplyDeleteI do not live in a city with bad air pollution. As far as I concerned, some facilities should be shut down to stop the air pollution. Not only shut down some of the factories in a city, but also factories around the city, perhaps in the province which the city in, should be shut down. Protecting the atmosphere is not a complex idea. It is just about planting more trees, reducing more pollution. As for Chen Guanbiao, his behave is more like a speculation than environmental protection. He lusts foR ameliorating his influence by making a show, but it cannot fundamentally work out the problem at all.
ReplyDeleteI lived in a city with bad air pollution. I think the reason was too much industry, too much cars and too much people over there. To clean the air pollution we have to do lots of things. For example, decrease density of people in the city, plant as much trees as we can and limit cars amount. Trees can absorb carbon, produce oxygen. It's the best for clean air pollution. Also limit cars and factories would help. Everyone should have responsibility to take care of the earth, not only air pollution. By the way, I think Chen Guanbiao is a business man, make money is his first job. He sold air can maybe just want to earn money.

I think now China can't make all its air clean because China is a developing country. We need many things to promote economic growth and social development. ReplyDeleteI live in Tai Yuan, the air pollution is a little bit bad. there is a Steel works in my hometown, and not far from the urban dwelling. In the winter, when the Steel works begin to work, there is so much dark smoke on the sky, and during that time, the wind bring this smoke to the downtown. so in winter, the wether is bad. but in summer, it is better, the wind will blowout my hometown. and about the air pollution, I think that the government need to move the company far from the people. I think it will be better. about the canned air, I do not think it is a good idea to following. It will be expensive. and the most important is that the cans, if everybody can not leave the canned air, there will have so many canneries, and you need to use the metal， it just can make the air worse and worse.
ReplyDeleteActually, I don't live in a city with pollution, because it's a small city. To get a cleaner air, people and mainly companies need to care more about others, and not just about themselves. They need to realize that health is more important than money, so they need to spend money with politics to avoid pollution coming from industries and other sources of possible pollution. I'm totally against the idea of canned air, because with this idea people think that they can pollute the air as they want and after just get a clean canned air to solve the problem. We can not try to combat the consequences, but we need to avoid the causes. So, the best way is to avoid pollution.

The air in Xi’an is good, because the local government pays more attention to culture and tourism industry and there are fewer factories in my hometown. If the government of Beijing wants to make the air cleaner, the government officials should set up some limitations for the factories and reduce the number of the factories that can pollute the air. I think the canned air is a silly idea. People will waste the cans, and the cans can pollute the environment if people don’t recycle them. In addition, such a silly idea cannot resolve the problem at all. It is impossible that people go to work or school with a lot of cans of fresh air. Only if the government properly resolve the problem, people can breathe fresh air.
ReplyDeleteFirst, 'PM' is particulate matter. Scientists use PM2.5 to representation the content of this particles per cubic meter of air. If this value is higher, means the air pollution is more serious. My hometown is Harbin. The PM2.5 is about 100. It's not too bad but not so good. Because the number of motor vehicles is increase, so the pollution is more and more serious too. And in past several days, Beijing got a serious air pollution. The PM2.5 is almost 300(Now, Saco's PM2.5 is 73). The government suggested don't go outside! But, unfortunately, my mother went to Beijing for business during these days. And she needed to wearing mask! And Chen Guanbiao is a philanthropist in China. He did many things that help people and protection the environment. And now, he is selling the fresh air to people. The air were collected at some attractions like Jinggangshan and Taiwan, two famous city for treval. And then got them to the production line. After extrusion, closed, assembly and then sale it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite city is Sanya, the city of Hainan in the most south of China. That city is in a tropic area, so the city is hot the whole year, but there are all kinds of plants, like coconut trees and pineapple trees; and in the huge forests there are rare animals and trees. The air is so wet there you can see the dew in the air. It isn’t like air in the north of China. The seashore, the beach, the sunshine, is just like in Hawaii. The sea is so blue there, to see the view under the sea is the best idea, because the fish are colorful, and the deeper you go the sight is prettier. That is the best place in China for me.

ReplyDeleteAnd I think the idea that Chen used was not very correctly. The fresh air can helps people can breathe one or two minutes' fresh air. How about after they finish it? They will continue to breathe the air which is polluted. It just a palliative idea. So, if people want to live in a clean world, they need to decrease the pollution first. Like plant trees, decrease the pollution from some factories etc. Hope all the people will realize and correct it.
In China, I live in a small city near Shanghai. The air is not good in downtown but fresh in countryside. They cut trees and built factories which make the air pulluted.

In the city that I'm living in is a small city so we dont really have that much of factories, I think that we have very clear air because of all the mountains and plants we have. I do think that canned-fresh-air is a very silly idea, I think that only people with a lot free money will buy things like this, or they are just very stupid. There are a lot ways to make the air clearer, but every one of them are really difficult to humans. First of all that we should have less factories, of course. Second we should have less people wasting things, like anything, water, paper, foods, every single thing. And we really should have less people, more people, more things need to be use, more things need to be use and more people tries to make money out of it, and then the next thing is more factories.

My hometown’s air is really bad. This is because of car exhaust and industrial emissions. When I go back to China in the February vacation, I just know a new word "smog". I have never heard of this word before. And this word means air quality is so serious, that people can't see the blue sky and white clouds, the only thing people can see is fog. I do not think that canned air is a folly. But if you really want to improve air quality, it is necessary to reduce vehicle exhaust and factory emissions, and add some green plants.
ReplyDeletei think fresh air in can is a pretty good idea. maybe some fresh air can help use relax in a city. the air in a city where i live is very polluted. in my opinion, we should reduce the vehicles which produce polluted air, and change to use some vehicles is good for environment. that kind of vehicle is kind of rare and expensive. may be one day, it will become popular and common. Or we can create a day that people don't use vehicles which produce polluted air, such as no car day, or bicycle day.... in order to clean the air, we might have to invent some kind of machine, or any kind of chemical solution of chemical gas that make the atmosphere become better.

I sometimes feel breath uncomfortable, and there are lots of industry here. During the spring festvial there are lots of fireworks holding up and the air turned bad. I admire the behavior that he made, but I do not applaud this idea because the cans also need raw materials and it is waste for the cans, and it also bad for the environmental. so we should keep air clean and have a good place for living.

ReplyDeleteGuess what?! I went back to China then my skin became yellow and I got a lot of acne. China is one of the awfullest countries to live but it's not the only one. The rate of foggy becomes bigger in every country even northern European countries had a lot of foggy weather. So doom day will come just not today.
