- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
In China, we have a total of seven classes, a class has 45 minutes. And here we have four classes, I think we can have more than one class, you can add a computer class. I think the rest is very good, but in the junior high school lunch when the chef can be a little more, so a little faster. As for the club class, I think junior high school club classes can be a little more, for example, you can have badminton and table tennis, or use the community.

ReplyDeleteAlso be a residential school, so the students could live in the dorms and go to school and meet everything e they want. In that school we would not have exams or tests or quizzes, the grades would dependes from the homework and from from proyects.
I think if I could design my perfect school, I will go to school online.So everyone can use the laptop to take class.It's good for us.I think 85 minutes for a class it's good.And we have 4 class on one day that is great, I don't need to change.I think the school should start a little bit late, maybe at 8:50.And I don't like gym class, I will cancel it.But I will give us a activity so that we can choose the sport club we want join it.
ReplyDeleteIf I can design a perfect school, I will combine education in China with education in the United States. In China, we have eight lessons a day and we also need stay at school after school working time until 10 o’clok Pm. We have weekly schedule with same classmates and in the same classroom. We also have lots of homework to do. My ideal school is for four classes each day and there are two hours of lunchtime and lunch break at noon. After class there will be some social activities and clubs. There are few homework every day and more time with family. Therefore, Students not only improve their grades but also spend more time socializing.
ReplyDeleteSo, my perfect school it’s just dream, because if it’s real all teenagers will be stupid. I think if I build school I’ll do it like this. Students will study 4 days a week, there will be 4 classes for 60 minuets. That there will be launch. School starts from 9:30 and finish at 2 o’clock. Student will have a choice there will be 8 classes like physical science, math,English, Spanish, history, video games, sport like workout and free class when they can do nothing. I don’t think that online classes is a good idea, so all students must go to school. In my school there we’ll be a lot of clubs that student ps can take in free time, clubs like climbing, skiing, skating,mma, boxing, video games, Spanish club,Russian language club. The other good think of my school that students will live in own rooms, one student one from, ten students in each dorm.
ReplyDeleteI think the perfect school have 6 classes day.And one class have 40m,and afther 1class take breaks like 10 minutes we can go to cafe eat some food drink water and we can discuss about last class knowledge with classmates,I want go to basketball club,And I think the cafe can have more different food because I think everyday food is same so can have more kind food,And I want our shock have swimming pool in shcool or in dorm whatever,I think it is nice.After shcool can go to swiming.so that is the prefect shcool in think.
ReplyDeleteIf I can design the perfect school, I believe it will be very beautiful. The school curriculum is ok and then the students make their own arrangements. A lot of school classrooms, adding a variety of folk art. Students choose their own favorite courses to arrange their own study time, the teachers in their own unique way to class, and then have a variety of teams and extracurricular activities. Students into the long hair and growth expertise, we spent every day in happiness.
ReplyDeleteI think, my school will start at 9:05, and students needs go to the first block, and 9:50 students will go to second block at 10:00, and students will take lab in the 10:10 at 11:00, and students will eat lunch at 11:10 - 12:00, and students will go to play out side, at 12:10 - 12:40 (free time), and students will go to class at 12:50 - 1:35, and students needs go to library at 1:45 - 2:00, and students will go to the class at 2:10 - 2:30.

As most of schools, student study 5 days a week. For holidays, it`s better to restrict holiday days less than 5days except Christmas and summer vocation. In my opinion, 8:30 is the best time to start a new school day, there are 5 blocks per day and every class should be 1 hours long, after every block there are 10min break for every student, lunch time is added in the time between block3 and block4, it is 1hour long for student to do everything they want. Thus, for some of the students, the school day is over at 3:20pm
Subjects
Student is asked to take at least one class in English, Art (although I don’t like arts at all), History, Science, fitness and math, online class is necessary for every student to explore unknown knowledge.
Others
I don’t care about if sports teams should be a parts or separate from school, so both choice is ok
Everyone can organize their own clubs no matter he/she is a teacher or a student, everything about the club should be decided by organizers themselves who are very responsible. But, in regular days, all activities should be end before 5:00pm.
If I can design the school. I would like to make the school start at October 20 and end at March 20. I want put 4 class everyday, and the class time is one and half for each class. And My school will have many different subjects let the students to choose they want to take. And the sports teams will be a part for this school. And we will have many kinds of clubs let students to choose either. And I would like to put the each vacation be a month because that can let students can do many things in the vacation. I don’t think i can design a perfect school because everyone will have different thinking for the school system.

I have my dream school. If I can create a school,it will be have many things. Maybe it's not the best school in the world,but it must be the most popular school. I will let all the students in this school like it. In this school,students can choose any of them favourite classes,school teachers will give them some advices. In this school,it will be have 4 different kinds of school buildings, and a big gym,will have basketball court,football court,swimming pool. And school will have cafeteria,library ,nurses,offices. And students will have many free time to do the other things. They won't have many homework. And people can eat different meals everyday. It will be a nice school for any students.
If I can design the school, I’d like it was really beautiful, it must have strong academic system. It have 45 minuets per class, everyday have 6 class. The school start at 8:30 and end at 2:30 and at lunch time, students have time to relax.

ReplyDeleteI am a student from China, I have got two different education environments.
ReplyDeleteIn China, most of high school have 5 school days a week, and some of the private school have 6 school days week. In the meantime, most is school begin school at 7 o’clock, have 10 classes each day, and school release even later than 22 o’clock. And also some school always have extra classes for senior student during vacation.
In the United States, is totally different situation, at least in TA we going school 8:30 and after 4 classes school release at 14:45.
In my opinion, a perfect school need to have this element.
For basic settings:
My school will located in China, with a huge area, there should have at least 5 building for study, a library, an indoor gym few outdoor basketball fields, a official size soccer field, a football field, and a few baseball fields. In my school I will plant a lot of Cherry tree for decorate campus. And for the students there will have both Chinese students and international students.
For School time:
In my perfect school there would have 5 school days each week from Monday to Friday, for normal each school day school star at 9 a.m and release on 3 p.m with 5 classes each day. If there are any bad weather or some special reasons there will have no school on that day. For Vacation there will have a summer holiday , a Winter vacation, a spring vacation, a Thanksgiving vacation, a Christmas holiday and others statutory holiday during the school year.
For Subject:
Students in my school, students will have 10 subject for total by their own chosen. And for class chosen students need to have at least one Chinese class, one foreign language class, one math class, one science class, one history class, and an art class. Then they can have any classes they are interested on for other spare period.
For Club and after school activities:
In my school there will have a lots of clubs and teams and school will pay some fee to suggest them go some race and match, and also if they win any trophies, school will also give some bonus to encourage students.
All in all, I want my school can let students study with happy but pressure.
If I will build a school. It maybe near the sea or in the forest. It will be a huge size. 24 hours open. You can come here whenever you want. It is an art school. You can take all the classes you like. And there's no age limit. All age people allow to join the school. But Before they come in to the school, they need to take a academic test. Because we don't support academic classes. You need to learn it outside the campus. You need to prove you have enough knowledge to live alone.
ReplyDeleteIn my imagination, a perfect school should have good environment to construct great studying atmosphere. For instance, arrangement of desk and chair should be grouped; a small class increasing students’ efficiency; or a reasonable timetable for students having full energy; if the school is located in suburban, and there could be fresh air and silence surrounding.
ReplyDeleteAnother necessary thing is academic strength. It should have abundant resources like libraries, athletic facilities, or many types of class for students who interested in certain field could learn more professional knowledge.
In my perfect school the calsses would last 40 minutes and we would only have 4 classes daily beginning at 10am and leaving at 1:00 pm , from Monday to Thursday and we could choose all the classes. We would take 8 subjects but only four classes everyday.
ReplyDeleteA perfect school to me is a school where students can choose whatever they want to learn. I take elementary school and middle school in China. Every school day back in China is boring. Every week repeat the th same things that I don't want to learn. And then I came to here, America. I feel like I have more freedom, but it is still not enough. From my point of view, the most powerful fuel for a student to learn is the passion and desire of knowledge. It means students must want to love and want to learn. So I think there should be a school that student can really choose what they want to learn without the system of credits and score. There should be teachers but they only teach professional knowledge about their subjects that they actually knows. And there shouldn't be any forced art or fitness class, because not everyone is good at sports or art. And force normal people to learn or train those things is a huge torment. Students should only have 4 class a day, each class should be only 1 hour. We should have the same class every day in a semester.
ReplyDeleteThere is no perfect school in my mind. If you really want to ask me. I can only say there is not a perfect version of school. Every type of school have their own problem. The later block 1 can give us a battler mood for studying, but on the other side it will make every block shorter. More classes can give us chance to learn more subjects in a day, but it will also give each teacher shooter time teach.
ReplyDeleteEven though there is not a perch version, but I do have some ideas that could benefit a little bit. First of all I think students should pay more attention on the class witch they love. But they still need to learn the general subjects. Such as Math English and science. Secondly I think people should focus more about the after school programs. Play a sport and join some clubs could be great. So school should start more sports and have more clubs.
If I can create my own school, I will make it a residential school. It would be much easier to manage if all the students live together, and it provides a great opportunity for students to learn to be independent and learn how to make friends and socialize with people. I will set up the academic buildings, club buildings, art buildings, library and gyms separately. I will make the buildings look old fashion but all equipments inside the buildings are high technology. The school will start at 9 a.m and each class period will be different. For instance, a math or science class would be 75 minutes and an art or sport class would be 90 to 100 minutes. Every students should take 2 classes at least and 6 classes at most each day. Some classes are twice a week, and some classes have to take everyday. The school provides online class for those student who is sick and cannot go to school that day.
ReplyDeleteIn the school which I design, there is a small store and students can buy many things here such as snacks and school supplies. The school also has a large stadium which students can have competitions here. Students can also store their sports equipment in the school so that they do not have to go to school with heavy equipment.
ReplyDeleteThe school have physics, chemistry, biology and English courses.There also are some subjects like psychology, economics and medical science which are related to students’ future jobs.
The school do not have online courses. But the teachers can record the contents of the class and post it online so that the students can take classes when they can not go to school and they can easily review before the test.
My prefer school will be a warm school,like a big family.Like Harry Potter’s school.Students can learn more knowledge in school but students don’t feel tired in school.Everyday have more interest and funny activity and club.Students can make a lot of good friends,they live together.I think sports team should be a part of school.

The perfect school in my mind should be a art school, it will have good environment in the campus, the buildings are really new. There should be four blocks in per day and three of the blocks should be doing art. Students can have their free time to doing artwork, they can use these times to like art and feel the interest in art.
ReplyDeleteIn my point of views. Chinese schools are exactly the blueprint for the perfect schools. Normally Chinese school day should start at 7:30 and end at 4:45. Also we have self study class at night. Though it is clear that students here definitely can not do this. So we can make the school day start very early and end earlier too. This means students will be able to have more free time in the afternoon to do their clubs and sports activities. From my experience, every class should take just 45 minutes. That can make students always keep their mind clear. One very important thing is that all the teachers should publish all their homework online in same application or website. This can make students’ life easier. And sports teams and club should be separate from school. Students should have choice about doing it or not doing it. In the end my perfect school should be both residential and day. Students can choose what they like dependent on their own situations.

ReplyDeleteBefore I come to America, I was dream to change the schedule of school. Because the schedule of school in China is so busy. If possible, I hope we can only have four or five class in each day. We usually have seven class in one day and it’s really hard to remember everything we learn. And I think one hour for each class is good enough. We should use more time on doing some exercises and club activities. To be honest I never see any this kind of activities in my middle school years which is sad. We need spend live on the right time. If we really have some club in my old school, I definitely will join the anime club because it’s my favorite thing. But actually, those all just hope not real, the students always need to do is study.
If I can design a school, it will looks like TA. I think TA contains everything I need, teaching buildings, gym, playground, cafeteria and dorms. I think four courses everyday is good. And the rest between two classes can be ten minutes, students can drink water and chat with their classmates. Everyone should take english, math, science and PE as required courses. I think sports teams should be a part of school, because health is important for us. Clubs are also necessary, students can set up clubs by themselves.

ReplyDeleteThe future school is only one class a day, and the classroom is very spacious.The desk became a computer desk, and the chair became a comfortable sofa, and walked toward it, with three buttons on the wall in the playground. Press the first button and the playground will become a canteen. Press the second button and the playground will turn into a beautiful garden. Press the third button and the playground will become a basketball court.
I think that the perfect school for me will be the one that have only 3 days so school, letting the kids be less stressful, I think that the school will be good only 6 months, and the next 6 months the kids should get a work to learn how difficult is to get your own money and start learning about life. I think that we need to take maths and a lot of social classes that teach us to socialize with other people.

Moreover, instead of taking grades by tests, quizzes, there will be marked by attendance and participation. Furthermore, I want my perfect school to have a good teaching quality teachers with years of experiences.

ReplyDeleteIF i can create a school, I will make a most beautiful school in the world. There are lots of trees and flower around school there have the most fresh air,and the gigantic blue sky. We have the most advanced laboratory in the world, because it can help the student who are charming with the science. The sport is the important thing in our school, everyone should have the favorite sports .Sports can make us more optimistic and healthy. So i am going to create a large gym for my student to do the exercise. Time of work and rest is also different from most schools. The school start at 8:45AM and go home at 3:00pm. It can help student to have a enough time to sleep and they will have full of spirit to meet the new day. That is my school, a really charming school.

ReplyDeleteIf I can design my prefect school, it will be like a park. All the school buildings will be sitting between trees. The school day will start at 10:30 everyday and end at 4 in the afternoon. 4 classes will be teach per day and each class will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Students should take subjects they like to learn about. Clubs will be defined as a extend for class. Students will go to school at Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And have Wednesday and Sunday off.
ReplyDeleteIn our country, teachers generally assign more assignments to students, and students spend their spare time writing homework. This led to students not having time to do what they love and develop their own interests. So at my school, students did not go home to work. They have a lot of time to do what they love and develop their hobbies.
ReplyDeleteIf I can create my own school, I will make jt the best school in the world. My school will have several elevators for students and teachers to move to another class. The cafeteria in my school will provide good food instead of fast food and all of it costs 1 dollar per ech plate. I will select only good teachers to work in my school because I want students to have perfect knowledge. In my school, teachers beside teaching basic subjects, they will teach students skills to deal with when they have problem in life. Moreover, there will be 5 blocks a day and each block lasts 60 minutes. Students and teachers will have 10 minutes break between each block and they will only have to study and work from Monday to Friday.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite school is like this. At half past eight in the morning to go to school, there is an hour and a half after bedtime eating time to sleep. 15:30 left school. There is an hour of extra-curricular activities after school so that students can exercise. About 5 lessons a day, each lesson 50 minutes, each next lesson has 10 minutes of rest. On the course, I will choose to let the students themselves to choose, but a year to attend four main classes, an art class, a physical education class, so that not only will not delay the students' cultural knowledge, but also upscale aesthetic And exercise. Then an hour after school is an extracurricular activity that students choose from, such as basketball, football, art ... This is my favorite school, what about you?
ReplyDeleteThe reason why student go to the school is because he or she wants to learn something. School is a great place to learn new knowledge and make a relationship. First, School should be free and non-profit organization for everyone who want to study. It should be included as much as subjects provided for student to choose. There must have a 24 hours library for student who can study in whatever time. It should not allow student using any electronic products to make them focus on study. It also can protect their eyesight. The sports should be mix up in the school program. It's a good time for student relax and make friend if the stadium is close to the teaching building.

ReplyDeleteIf I can design a school, I must expand the cafeteria, spend a lot of money in the cafeteria quality, according to their school, to set the daily meal, add the characteristics of different countries, I also hope to expand science building, increase Laboratory construction, this time consume a lot of money, but I think it is worth it, if you really can do I hope to build the school into a big castle, heartbreaking the same as the smallest city.

If I could design a perfect school, what would it look like? I think as a school, its primary goal is educating students. Students should have good teachers to teach them. Also, have flexible time is also very important to them. Therefore students can do the things that they really want to do. Although students will have more passion to do their work and also have time to do the things that they are interested.

My dream school will start at 7:40 every morning, there will be 8 blocks a day. The first block will be only 20 minutes, which teachers could collect homework and hand in stuff to use in the day. After that, the teacher will come into the class he is teaching at the blocks and give the lesson. What’s more, each block will be 40 minutes so that we can remember the knowledges more easily than when it’s longer. After all the classes, we shall have a block like study hall for us to do our homework. What’s different is that we can go to the teachers’ office if we have any questions. This is my dream school. What do you think?
Purpose of school is to give kids knowledge that they will use in adult life, but some schools are not able to properly use and organize time, so sometimes students does not get enough of sleep, or they have to wake up too early, so my perfect school will be starting at 9:00pm.
ReplyDeleteAlso, in my perfect school each student will have to have math class, English, physical education, 1 class for any language, 1 art class(not necessarily), 1 study hall, and another class for personal choice. I think the perfect class period will be 1 hour, because it’s not too short, and not too long. Also my “perfect” school will involve online-tasks, because it will be much easier to both teachers and students. Every student will be able to be in sports team, and will be able to represent school on tournaments.Every student would be able to pick up a club, clubs will include:arts, languages, technology, science, and also students will be able to create their own clubs.
In my opinion, the perfect school for me should have more classes for different subject such as for the English classes they need reading or grammar classes for every student, it can help them on where their weakness. For the lunch time, I think school should extend it more longer. Every meal is important for student especially for the high school student, they need more nutrition to grow up. Also the food in lunch should have more options that can make student more enjoy their meal.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to design a school, I would consider allowing students to do more exercise and buy better facilities. I will take into account the students’ hobbies and separate them from classes so that they can learn more about the courses that they like better. Then I will organize a study group to let them share their ideas so that they can get more suggestions. To do this, you can also see others' inadequacies through others, and listen to others' correct opinions before they can make progress. This is my idea.

ReplyDeletef I can create and design my own school, first my school will start at 10am and ends on 2pm, because if you go to school 8am the percentage of being late to school we increase, but if the school starts at 10am you can more focus on class, because you are not sleepy. Second thing is about school sport my school will consider sports really important, because most of students doesn't exercise and it cause teenager fat, and also if you get award from sports it also helps school's image better, and the school sports will be separted from school, which can be more focused for only sports. The last thing of my school will be homeworks and quiz we will have homeworks to let students learn but we will have quiz but not the tests, because test will cause a huge effect to their grades.
ReplyDeleteI think the school should only take three days each week to study at 10 o'clock in the morning and go to school at 2 o'clock in the evening. Students should choose two or three courses a day that they are most interested in. Elective schools should also open more students. Classes of interest should not be the only subject If students want to go out to school during school hours, they also offer online courses to provide students with the opportunity to learn. Exercise should be part of the school because students must exercise if they are not active at home or study is very bad for their health. Extra-curricular activities also schools should add more extra-curricular activities because it will make students physical and mental health
