The Homecoming Dance is this Saturday, October 8th, so it's a good time to ask about school dances. First, are there school dances in your county? Did you go to one at your former school? Are you planning on going to the Homecoming Dance? Why or why not? One last question: Do you think school dances are a good idea: is it important for schools to host dances? Let me know your opinion of school dances.

In my opinion, having homecoming dance for students is completely necessary. Students can know meet more friends through the dance. Even my school doesn't have it, but I still want to have it

DeleteIn my country's school. There's no dances or parties. I never got one. I definitely want to homecoming dance. Because this is my first time can have it. I think dances are really a good idea because it's a good way to relax, have fun and know people, make friends. We all need a dance!

It's not a custom to have a school dance or a party in my country, China. I have been to the Homecoming Dance. From my point of view, hosting a school dance is definitely improtant to us, because in the party we can having fun together, make new friends, relax,ect. Not only study is important, but also have fun with friends and relax yourself.
ReplyDeleteThere is no custom like that in my country. I have never been the homecoming dance because in China the students do not have the opportunities to dance with others. So I would like to go to the homecoming dance and join the party.In my opinion, I believe it's very important to have the school dances because it shows the spirit of the school. On the other hand, it also reflects the traditional culture of the school.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a school dance in China. I'd like to go to homecoming because in China I never experienced to dance with each other or join a party with that much people. I believe to host a school dance is important, because we can learn things that we don't know in China, and make more friends, relax our self.
ReplyDeleteIn my country don't have dance party but we have some school festivals about dance, I never go to dance party in school before, because I think is a good way for social contact, and homecoming is a good idea because we can make more friends and relax.

Absolutely I plan go to homecoming dance, because this is my first time go to dance I'm so excite also we have to go, to make sure we won't get detention. Then I want get a girl friend in U.S.I think school dance is very important, we can make more friends on dancing and dance can make ourselves to be relax. I hope I will have dancing partner.
ReplyDeleteIn my home country China, there's no the tradition of school dancing, so it's a completely new thing for me. I'm very curious about what does it look like so I will definitely go to even I don't have girlfriend. I think school dancing is a good idea and it's important for school to hold this kind of party because it helps students to communicate and make a good or better relationship.
ReplyDeleteThere's no homecoming dance in my country and I never went before. I was planning go to dance and I did went to dance. The reason that I went is that I have already bought a dress for that. And it is a new thing for me and I never see before, so I want to try it. However I don't like the dance because it was quite boring. Everyone "jumped" in the gym. And I saw many people prepared a lot before homecoming dance, such as, doing the hair, buying the suit/ dress, using make up. Maybe sombody thinks that the funest part is the preparing, but I donnot think so.

ReplyDeleteThere's not school dances in my country but it wasn't my first school dance, I had a Christmas dance when I was studing in England. Yes, I went to homecoming, because it was my birthday so I wanted to have a party on it, and also because I like dancing and I wanted to have fun with my friends. I think dances are really good because people have fun with their friends.
ReplyDeleteThere have some school dance in my high school in China. But the dance in America is also special because it is my first dance in America. And all of the things in that night is awesome. Everyone are trying their best to dance and making friends there. I think the idea for dance is awesome. It is the one of the best idea in the world. Why not have some dance!
ReplyDeleteThere was no school dance in my former school, there were only have the performance. In my option, I think the dances in school are necessary. We can make new friends and we can enhance the ability of social. Also, we can relax during the tension study life. And the students who like dance can show their capacity. Last Saturday I went to the homecoming dance with my friends. It was my second time. We took many pictures and made some new friends.

ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance was last Saturday,it's novel to me,there are no school dances in our country,and I didn't go to one at my former school,I think I'll planning to go to homecoming dance,I can learn some more cultures about American school and I also can enjoy this fresh thing.I can make new friends there,I heard that it's so fun to go to the dance.
ReplyDeleteI think school dances are a good idea,it's important to host dances,we can relax in different ways that we didn't try before,and we should to have some conversation to each other,it's a good way to learn something new.We not only to study,but also we can find the way to make ourselves happy and content.
I think homecoming party is good because we can meet a lot of new people in there and we can get closer. It would help me to become outgoing. So I like party and I usually go to party in my country too.
ReplyDeleteIn Korea, there is party so I go to there, but almost students trying to not go because of studying. Many students prefer to study but I am not. I like party so I think homecoming dance is good idea
ReplyDeleteIn my country, also have a school dance but it is less common. In general, only international schools have dances because international school has a lot foreign students and the school system has no difference with for foreign schools. Usually local school doesn’t have a school dance but they have a more traditional way to celebration. I didn’t go before because my school is not international school.
I am planning go to the homecoming dance, it’s not only a good way to make friends but also let me school. I don’t think the dance is necessary, there can be other forms to celebrate homecoming.

There aren't any dances in my country, maybe it does, but I never heard about it.
So, I didn't even have opportunity to go at my former school. I'm definitely going to the Homecoming Dance and it is only happening one time a year, so I don't have reason that not going. I consider that Homecoming is important for school to host. First, we are all familiar to school，it's fantastic if we can dance at school. It's also a good chance to meet new friends.
ReplyDeleteIn my country we don't do that kind of dances in the schools, well, maybe some schools have that kind of dances but the most of them don't have those. But I really would like to have dances like homecoming in my school because it's fun and entertaining, it would be a great idea to do it. So last Saturday was my first school dance and I had a lot of fun, I danced a lot with my friends and we spent an awesome time together. It was a little bit different than in Spain but we had fun anyway. I'm totally agree with host dances I think that having these things is so cool, I mean there's something else to do apart from homework and exams.

ReplyDeleteIn China, school is the place where people study Instagram ad of having fun. So people barely have dance at school. I haven't been to any dance from my former school since I like to stay home more than doing outdoor activities. Homecoming dance would be a really nice opportunity to know about each other make your relationship with your friends better. But I decide not to go to the homecoming dance because I don't like loud music and so many people. I would say dances are good ideas because dances make people get to know each other well. And you could make a lot of friends from the dance which mean you have a lot people to help you when you have question.
In my country, there are just a few school dances like this, not so much and just some of the most famous schools have them. I haven't been to a school dance before. I did go to the school dance. Because this is the first time i went to a school dance so i wanted to know how it liked. I think school dances are a good idea because it is the time when we can relax and put out all stresses and have fun with other. We can also make new friends by going to these dances
ReplyDeleteI think school homecoming dance is very important, because it can let us know the beginning of a new semester and allows us to know many friends in the party, of course I also participated in the dance also is the first time put on a suit, the dance can make us forget the pressure of learning, can let us experience a lot of fun, in my country no party may be cultural differences so this is my first time to participate in such activities feel the magic of American culture, and also feel the enthusiasm of the American people, hope there are more such recreational activities.
ReplyDeleteI went to my first homecoming dance last Saturday. It was really exciting because we don't have school dances back in Spain. We had a lot of fun watching how different Americans have parties. The dresses and dances style were completely different from what we were expecting. First I was a little bit confused about going to Homecoming or not. I had been looking for my dress during two weeks and I didn't find anything. It was so stressful. But then my friends changed my mind. And I decided to wear a dress that I took from Spain.
ReplyDeleteI would have regretted if I wouldn't have gone to the dance. Now I'll keep all the memories from the pictures that they took for us.
We should have dances back in my country. It is a new way to meet new people from your school that you may don't know. I had a lot of fun with all my classmates and all my friends. I really would like to repeat this experience I hope we'll have more dances during the year. It was such a great host dance.
I think homecoming is good. First, it can practice student's society ability. Student can practice how to communicate with other people. The most important is how to communicate with a girl. Second, in Homecoming, you can play with you friend. I think it is very fun, and in homecoming, you can take picture with your friend. That is valuable memory. I like homecoming, and i think that is important.

ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance is important here in America, but in Spain homecoming is not even a reality. I think Homecoming is something traditional only in USA, and maybe in Kannada too. In Spain many schools don't have dances, but my one has, at least once a year. I think we should have more dances. First af all, it is entertaining and you can meet new people, and what about school dramas? I really like those moments were people talk about someone asking someone to date him at the dance. I would like too see more of those kind of dramas that only happens at dances. I didn't go to the dance because none of my friends went there, so I preferred to stay home and do some homework, or play some games.
ReplyDeleteIn China, we don't have a school dance. In my middle school we don't have a dance like home coming. I'm going to the homecoming dance. Because is a good way to join the America society and culture. For me school dances are a good idea, we can try a lot of things that in China we didn't try before. Not only students can make new friends but also relax ourselves.

ReplyDeleteActually school dance is not normal in China. When I was in the High School in China, I don't have that much opportunities to join activities like this. I am planning on going to the Homecoming Dance, because I want to see how cool is it. I heard about Homecoming dance from my friends before. They described it as a cool place to go. They said they have a good time there. I think school dances is a good idea, because it makes people communicate better to each other, and it gives a lot fun and interest in Student's life. We can wear cool formal and skirt, meet new people.
There's no school dance in my country. So I've never been to a dance. I planned to go to the Homecoming Dance, because that will be fun. But I've already booked the flight to North Carolina on homecoming weekend. That's why I didn't go to the Homecoming Dance. I think school dance is a good idea. Because it can make students be more friendly and gives them more chance to make friends. There's no bad reason for a school has dances.
ReplyDeleteI did not go to the homecoming dance. I do not like to go to someplace like that...... And the most important thing is I do not know how to dance. So I just stay at home. In China, at my school, we do have something like that, but only high school student have the chance to join the activity, so I never have the chance to dance ( and I am not interested in it ) . Anyway, the homecoming dance is really a good chance to practice myself, and learn something about social activity. I think it is a good idea to have homecoming dace. It is wise to let student learn how to do social activity well, especially for international student like me. So I decide not to come there is a really a bad idea. I should do more things to practice myself .

ReplyDeleteThis particular weekend was one of the best in this month. We had the homecoming dance. It was such a great American experience but it was so hard to find a dress. My friends and I had been trying to find dresses for three weeks but we couldn´t find any. We had to ask our mothers to send us one from home. The whole day we were preparing ourselves for the night. One friend of mine did my hair and makeup. She did such a great job! At 7:00 pm we hanged out with the guys and took pictures. I love it because I can keep them as memories. When we got to the dance, I felt so excited because I was in a real American dance, like in the movies. One guy asked me if I wanted to dance with him, and I said yes. I felt so embarrassed because it was the first time for me dancing a slow dance, and I didn’t know how to do it. Thought fortunately it went well. The music was a little bit annoying because it was repetitive, and they also didn’t play Reggaeton, which is the type of music we listen back in Spain. Even though we usually don’t slow dance back in my country, I had such an amazing time. I will always remember it.
Homecoming is new thing for me. I didn't have homecoming dance in my school at China, and I didn't went that dance last year at my old school so this is the first time go homecoming. That surprise me is really different than I thought. In my opinion that dance is a really good chance to make new friends or hang out with friends.

ReplyDeleteI actually didn't go to homecoming dance, but I did when I was first year in the TA. By the way, in China, I believe that there are no dance in every school. We not only need to study in the school, but also being insufficient time to play. That is, we have no school dance. For my perspective, school dance is of great importance for us, and it's easy to improve relationship dramatically such as lover.

I’m planning to go to the Homecoming Dance, in my perspective, Homecoming Dance is necessary for our social life, which allows to communicate with people to make more friends, and also enable our life to be more fun. Also for schools, Homecoming Dance is important for school, this social life gives students a good chance to present themselves to each others. So school dance need to be keep.
ReplyDeleteThis year I went to my first Homecoming dance, from the country where I am is not usual have this kind of dances and celebrations. In my country where you want to celebrate something you go to the nightclub with all your friends and you spend the night there dancing, talking etc.. But of e the homecoming was a really good experience that I could share with the friends I made here in US. The homecoming is a good time to spent with your friends dancing, talking ,and also meet another people. I'm waiting for the next dance but I'm not sure if is another dance like homecoming soon but some people told me there is another dance in the end of course called prom where is usually go with pairs.
ReplyDeleteThere is no dance in high school in China. This is my first time attending a dance. I think it is a good idea to have a dance at school. This will allow us to discover areas that we do not know, to promote student interaction, to discover different people, and to expand our network of relationships.

ReplyDeleteMy former school don't have homecoming, I want it , but our headmaster don't think we need that ,because we have to focus on study . I had homecoming last year in Missouri, I went there with my American friends .I had fun in homecoming of last Saturday, homecoming can let me know my friends who are quiet in normal are crazy , and let us closer to each other , that's pretty good for our friendship .

ReplyDeleteThere is no school dance back in my country, so I never get chance to go to any type of dance before I came here. I was so happy to know that TA prepare homecoming dance, first time when I just got here. The reason is people can find a lot of fun in there like dancing with laddies, social and dress up nicely. In my own opoin the person who start this, he or she is such a great intellect ice people. School dance can have student getting know each other. Also when people think about school, not just homework or quiz come to their mind. Student will also think our school prepare other after school activities. It really can help improve the relation ship between school and students. I really think it is important that school host dances.

We don't have homecoming in my country. You can visit dance courses when you are sophmore in Czech. Usually it is every week on Wednesday in the evening. I was there and it is awesome. We learnt many dance skills. I found there some new friends, and it was fun dance there with my friends. It wasn't just about dancing. They showed us how should looks our behavior on public, and how to be polite. Homecoming is something new for me and it was fine.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have homecoming at my school, I think I may miss a lot of fun. But for our students, we have our own party for the festival in each class. If school have homecoming, we also can be friend with other class or other grade students. Homecoming also can help you be relax, don't have so many stress .

ReplyDeleteIn China, people not always dance. We watch show which is done by our school mate. About dance, I think it is very funny, because you can enjoy this happy time with your friend and you really can do some interesting things expect dance like to make and play a little funny game, singing, show your skills you want to show every one......a lot more things I think people can do during the dance party, and basicly dance is good too, isn't it? The dance is delightful.

ReplyDeleteThere isn't any homecoming dance in China regular school, but maybe in some international school. I kind of like to be present on the Homecoming. Homecoming is like a ceremony to welcome returning students back. There are loud music, and some professional equipment. I can wear my suit, and take some pictures with my friends. And many beautiful girls!

ReplyDeleteIn my country (Spain) we don't have this dances at the school, we have them outside, but isn't part of the school. Of course I'm planning to go, I love going to party's and dance. Also I'm going with a girl so I better look good and dance with her!!! In my opinion this tips of things are awesome, you can meet new people, dance with your friends and you don't stay in your house studying, you go to a party instead. So it's very good.
