- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
The climate gets warmer and warmer now. It makes the ice in North an South Pole melt, and the water level raise up. If the water level keep raising, some city might flood on the ocean. That's so bad, and I think human is one of the most important reasons that causes the climate changes, so I think we all need to do some thing. For people like us, we can take bus, train, bike rather than our own cars, we can also sleep early so that the lights use will be decreased. For government and scientists, I think they should invent some new source of energy that is non-CO2, that would be very helpful for the environment.

DeleteIn my opinion it is good that is warmer and warmer but it is just not good for water levels.Because of melting ice the water levels are raising and it can possibly cause floods which is dangerous for everyone.There are many things what we can do for our enviroment.Some of these things we do not even recognize how harmful they can be.First idea on my mind is using public transportation
ReplyDeleteless such as cars,buses etc.And we should walk or ride bike more it is good for enviroment and also for your health.Next idea is just turning off the light when you leave your room or sometimes do not forget to turn off the water tap while you brush your teeth.Last idea for today is turning off the heat during the time when your window is open.Now you can see that is not that hard to do something for our Earth to make it much better.

ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is a term to used to describe a gradual increase in the temperature in the world. The global warming is increasing more day by day. In my opinion, if the society, don't do anything about it we all are going to suffer consequences. Otherwise, people are starting to worry about the global warming and are changing their habits to help to soften the problem. I think people should help with little things that, if everybody do will help a lot. The government should create new laws that obligate people to help, and the media should do campaigns and advertisements to warn and aware people about this big problem.

ReplyDeleteIn your northern neighbor, Canada, there's a port called Churchill. Churchill was locked down by the sea ice all over the winter in the past, but no longer nowadays. One bravery investor came and bought all of the harbor. He said because of the Global Warming, the Arctic Ocean will become one of the most busy lanes in the world.
In northern neighbor of us, Russia, the Global Warming also brings a lot of benefits to the local people. The natural gas underground is much easier to extract when the thick ice cover melt away. Thousands and millions of Chinese people immigrate here for the new “Gold Rush”.
The scientists of IPCC (the most official organization of Climate Change which established by United Nations) said even we stop creating new greenhouse gases since right now, the Global warming will still continue for several centuries. Pleasure or not, we need to get used to a different world with new climate.
Global warming now a days is a really important thing in the world. For me is good because I love warm weather but is not good for the Earth. In my opinion I think that we could make some changes in our lifes. Just but putting a little each person we can help a lot to pick up the global warming. For example we can use less transportantion in vehicles because it produces a lot of bad gas that contributes to the global warming. We can go walking or cycling. Another thing is to stop cutting trees. It contributes 1.5 billion metric tons of carbon to the atmosphere. We should try to recycle the paper an that would help . Maybe by doing little things like this we can help to reduce the climate change.

If we want to solve this problem， we need reduce something can create Co2. Such as plant more trees, recycle the paper. Reduce create Co2 is a difficult thing. We need everyone help, then we can fix this problem.

This is a very important problem in the world called global warming. A warmer global melts the ice caps, raising sea levels.Some places always have frequently snow free winters. In the North Pole and South Pole, glaciers disappear, then the animals will not have places to life, so they will be die.

Global warming is a fact, and this phenomenon will bring a very bat impact to the earth’s natural environment. For example: polar glaciers melt, sea level rise and ocean storms more violent.
ReplyDeleteAnd the most reason is human activity: Carbon dioxide emissions, the original forest of deforestation, however, there also have evidence that the activities related to the sun.
For me personally, I can’t do more things, that I can remind my family and friend go out without car, try to low carbon travel. But for society, we can do very more. For example:The use of natural gas as the main fuel, limiting the amount of automobile exhaust emissions, and more use of solar energy resources.
Global warming is very serious. People make many cars and factories. There are too many CO2 so the weather becomes warm. I think we should do things to help. People all drive cars because it is easy. In our school, many students have cars. Cars makes CO2. I will not drive car if I can take other things. It is hard to keep global warming. Also, we should plant more trees. Trees can take CO2 and trees are good for people. Maybe, I can plant some small plants. For a country, it can close some factories and help climate. I think in 2015, many countries meet together and have a meeting. Many countries agree to help in climate. Global warming is big problem. We should protect our environment. In the future, I hope earth will become better.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion., people have to response for global warming.
There are three different ways to figure out this problem.
First of all, a country has to organize people having green travel plan. With lots of people live in big cities, the air pollution and traffic jam have been increasing. Lots of cities have foggy weather for whole year. Citizens should take the public transportation for traveling.
Secondly, the number of chemical factories have to decrease. Chemical factories shouldn’t be settle around cities. Chemical factories discharge plenty of Carbon dioxides which is toxic to human body and cause global warming.
Thirdly, with increasing number of forests and green lands disappeared, the consistence of green house gases has been decreasing which also causes global warming. People shouldn’t cut down too many tress for building houses and farming lands.

The entire world's climate is getting warmer, human is responsible for this. If we want to still exist in the world, then we have to do something. For individual, I will do my best to change the result. For example, I will plant the trees and protect the animal. When I grow up, transportation might be important for me, so I will find a best way that not using gas. The countries of the world should do something. For instance, the government should appeal people to protect the environment at least. If the problem hasn't been fixed, we should really stop doing something that can reduce climate change.

ReplyDeleteGlobal warming can be slowed, and stopped, with practical actions that product a cleaner, healthier atmosphere. The goal is to bring global warming under control. We can contribute to this global cause with personal actions. Our individual efforts are especially significant in countries that release a lot of carbon dioxide per person every year. We can help immediately by becoming more energy efficient. Reducing our use of oil, gasoline. We could create a greenhouse where there are just electric power generation taken from the sun. The home can contribute more global warming than car. The main amount of energy we use comes from our home. To reduce this problems we could switch to energy-efficient lighting, drive less, recycle whenever possible… It can be difficult to adopt some of these suggestions, but any amount of energy saved is significant for the earth. As we become more aware of the importance of saving energy, we find ways of saving where possible.
ReplyDeleteWe can feel about the climate is getting warmer and warmer. This year, the weather is weird. We didn't have too much snow during the winter time. It's getting warmer and warmer now, but tomorrow it will be snowy. The global warming will bring lots of problems to us. The arctic is losing ice now. When lots of ice thaw, the sea level will get higher. Some cities that is under the sea level or coastal cities will destroy by sea level rising. Some factories burn the fossil fuels. It will make lots of CO2. The CO2 is greenhouse gas. It makes air getting hot. The fireworks, car also produce CO2. We should be responsible for the climate change. I think we can ride bicycles instead of driving cars. We can use electric instead of gasoline to make cars working.

Human induced and human independent many factors, the cause of global warming. The population on earth is increasing every day, subtracting the use of fossil fuel resources in the ground to face the day, the release of methane into the atmosphere, landfills, and other similar products used in fragrance negative effects of the toxic gases from car exhaust and environmental pollution factors, such as the biggest cause of global warming creates. We can contribute to this global cause with personal actions.
ReplyDeleteThe world becomes warm and warm as human behavior. For instance humanity throw trash out and there are lots of automobiles, even there are a lot of hewers, they are devastate forests. Those behavior accelerate air pollution, so the world becomes the warmest. In my opinion, we have better not throw the trash out and we ought to avoid drive private cars, and we should plant a certain amount of trees. Finally humanity should refrain their bad behavior.

CO2 makes up about 70% of the greenhouse gases, which is considered to be one of the greatest causes of global warming. It has harmful effects, causing the sea level to rise and many natural disasters to strike. So we must take effective measures to save our Earth. First, we should use more clean energy and less coal and oil. Second, we should go to work on foot or by bus instead of driving a car if possible. Third, we should plant more trees, because plants can turn CO2 into oxygen. In summary, it is clear that there are a lot of things that we can do, More importantly, we should form the habit of saving energy in our daily life.

In my opinion, it would be hard to return Earth’s temperature, but I think there is a few way to slow down the speed of global warming. First, Use fewer resources by personal. For example, walking the short distance. If you use a car for all short distance, It would be a lot of waste of fuel. Second, Build an eco-friendly plant. Nowadays, a lot of factories discharge a lot of noxiousness things. Many large major companies factory already has the plan to discharge noxiousness things. Last, stop destroy the nature and protect the plants. Nowadays, too many plants are extermination by the human. Human always cut down the tree and destroy the forest.
It is universally acknowledged that the Earth is getting warmer and warmer. There is no denying that human are responsible for this climate change. The green-house effect is the most severe environment problem. Everyone should take care of our environment because we only has one Earth. For example, we can turn off the light before we leave; we can walk to work or ride a bike to work instead of driving to work. By burning largely fossil of fuels, can reduce the quality of air. The country should make up a polity in order to protect our environment. If everyone could make a big contribution to environmental protection, our home will become much more beautiful. Protecting the environment is everybody 's duty.
ReplyDeleteIn my perspective, the most important thing to do is reduce the pollution from any kind of harmful gas. That is the only way to decrease the speed of global warming. To reach the goal, we can do many things: we can riding bike to go to school instead of driving a car. Also, decrease the amount of the factories, and use some clear energy like solar power and nuclear power. The world is getting warmer and warmer, everyone should do something for the world. The earth is the only planet that scientists discover. We depend on this planet. Once it done, we all done. So, protect the world for now.

ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt that the climate is getting warmer and warmer. It is called ‘Global Warming’. In this day and age, it plays many bad impacts and causes a lot of serious problems in our lives. Thus, every person must do something in order to prohibit this situation and save the earth. Firstly, plant a tree. This could be easier than it sounds. Join or help out a local wildlife group and ask to plant a tree. Trees, when fully grown, will help keep the planet cooler. Secondly, walk, ride bicycles or use public transportation instead of driving cars. As well as stopping pollution, you are giving yourself exercise. Thirdly, reduce, reuse and recycle. Only buy what you need; don’t stock the cupboards with things you may or may not use. Reuse whatever you can, such as containers and paper, and recycle what you cannot reuse. Fourthly, turn off unused sources of power such as televisions and heaters will help the environment, as well as save you money. Finally, use solar energy. All you need to buy is the equipment. You can get much of your hot water and heating from the sun and even generate electricity. I think if everybody stuck to these rules, we will be doing a great thing by protecting the earth!

ReplyDeleteIn my view, I think that global warming is big and important problem now. In the north, when the climate changes warmer, the water levels increase quickly. It is easy to make a flood that can destroy a lot of house and trees. It is very dangerous for everyone. It has bad influence for people’s health. People can get some serious diseases. In addition, the global warming causes the food chain to change. Maybe many animals will extinct in the world. So we need to stop the global warming. We should reduce to use vehicles. They can create some Co2 and other bad gases. We can ride a bike or walk to go to the school, instead of driving cars. It is more healthy for people. We should stop to use some fossil fuels. When they are burned, they can create many Co2 in the environment. We need to work together to save our beautiful environment.

As people know, our motherland earth is having a fever called global worming. Sadly she does not have a personal doctor. We get to pick up this huge responsibility of taking care of our mother earth.
I think the biggest reason of why mom is sickness right now is her children took away too many things from her without pay back. Our mother is the most understandable person in the entire universe. She is trying to give us all she had and protect us as she ever had. Although, she know she will not be able to protect us forever. What a grandeur person she is.
It is time for us to show her how much we love her. Let us stop using electronics all the time, take our time to talk to our mother and feel the nature, recycle ever possible things, and so on that can make our mother getting better.
People all over the world, we got a job we have always been ignored. Our job right now is bringing down the fever she is having right now. Let us show her how much we love her.
In my opinion there is no answer for that question. We cannot do anything that will stop or reduce climate change, it is the Nature Cycle. We can change our habits to try to make less pollution because we think that pollution is a focal point on environment.
ReplyDeleteIn case we want to generate not much pollution we could go walking to school when is warm instead of taking the car and driving. Other thing we could do is recycling. I agree that it affects and could help a lot the environment. Throwing away a bottle in a specific bin after you drink it is not a big effort and that action can change the world if everybody do it. These are things we could do to improve the environment but we cannot prevent the world from a huge Nature Change. We can let it be for a few more years but there will be a moment, I don't know if it will happen in 2 years or maybe in centuries but it will happen.

Not because they don't want, basically because they think, that it wouldn't matter, is not going to change anything at al, if I do it. But if every person that says that later do it, we would progress much more. ReplyDeleteIn these years global warming is one of the important things in the world. We made such a bad things to our world. Humans are the reason for that. But I think it is never too late to make something to change that. There are so many things that we can do to improve our world and charm away that global warming thing. We can drive less. We’ll save energy by taking the bus, riding a bike, or walking. Recycle whenever possible! Aluminum cans, newspapers, magazines, cardboard, glass. Anything recycled reduces the energy needed to create new products. And for conclusion, I think people should plant more trees. Becaus more trees mean more oxygen and that means less CO2!

ReplyDeleteThe Earth is getting warmer is a common phenomenon in recent years, and I don't know how to describe this phenomenon, but there is no doubt that it is not good. If this trend continues to develop and do not improve it, I am very worried about this sentence "Our descendants will no longer be clear of ice and snow" will become a reality. Well, I am not a government official or any other big man, so I don't know what a society and the countries of the world can do to reduce and even reverse climate change. I just can say do what I can do. For example, I try not to go out by private cars as far as possible to to reduce exhaust emissions and the consumption of oil; use disposable goods as less as possible; use the goods which its waste can be recycled as much as possible. Those are the little what I can do by myself to improve the climate.
Nowadays the earth is getting warmer and warmer is one of the biggest problems, the earth getting warmer will make glacier melt, than the sea level rise and some city near ocean will be disappear like New York,Shanghai. I have some ideas to save the earth. First, during summer, we don't have to open air-condition. It is a good way to reduce CO2. Second, because many family at least have one car, everyone drive to work. If the work place is near your home, maybe you can choose a good day and ride a bike to go to work or walk to work. It is good for your health and also a good way to reduce CO2. Third don't cut more trees, plants are really important, plant more trees can reduce CO2 because plants can use photosynthesis to reduce CO2 and make more oxygen.

ReplyDeleteFor reducing and even reversing climate change, first of all, we should use alternative sources of electricity from wind and water rather than from oil and coal. We can use solar water heater in the home. Second, for decreasing carbon dioxide,I think people should drive less and walk and cycling more because the car can emit carbon dioxide. Third, the government should make laws that limit the amount of greenhouse gases that companies can emit. If the companies follow these laws, they should get rewarded. If the companies don’t follow these laws They should also be punished for creating pollution.
I totally agree that people are responsible for global warming. I am so sad for this situation because it's a big deal and all these things have an impact for our future. People should be more patient for these problems. It starts with simple steps. Turn off the lights when you're leaving your room or house. If I need to go somewhere and it's not really far I can go by bike or just walk there. I feel that people are lazier than before, because we have so good technology for everything. But here is a thing. If we want live on this beautiful Earth we have to treat her as best as we can !! What goes around comes around and if we will destroy our place then mother of nature will give it back! I hope that everything will get better , but people have to realize how important this problem is and start do something for that.
ReplyDeleteThe climate nowadays changes a lot. One of the main pollutions is air pollution and main cause of air pollution is the burning of coal. The reserve of high quality coal is getting smaller and smaller. In order to minister to people’s demand, we started using lower quality coal to instead high quality coal. Brown coal is the kind of coal that we usually use nowadays and it’s the youngest coal in the world. Because of its “young age”, the carbonizing degree of brown coal is very low. When it is burnt, almost half of it will become black ash and float in the air. Actually, coal itself doesn’t mean pollution. People in Germany also use brown coal but they usually clean them up by extracting coal. In China, we only extract half of coal. The fact is that most of the rest of the coal that we don’t extract is pollution and it also causes a huge waste. Burning coal will produce lots of sulphur dioxide that is harmful especially in winter, the carcinogen in PM2.5 during winter is 25 times as the carcinogen in PM.2.5 during summer. A village called Hutou which is located in Yunnan is one of the places with highest incidence of lung cancer. After researching, people found that the burning coal is the main reason that causes lung cancer in this region. As I have mentioned, the demand of coal is growing fast as the growing of population. And the low quality of coal is one of an important causes of lung cancer. However, depending on regions, the factors that cause serious air pollution is also different. For example, in south of China, the main reason causes air pollution is big number of factories rather than the low quality of coal.
ReplyDeleteThe cause of climate change is that humans started to use more oil, and release too much greenhouse gases. Some Studies have shown that without greenhouse gases, earth would be about 27 degrees colder. Because of that humans need to reduce the use of fossil fuels such as oil, coal, etc. and gases such as methane. Humans need to limit the use of normal cars and start to use for instance cars powered by electricity. If humans reduce the use of oil and greenhouse gases there is still a chance that we as a society can reverse the climate change.

DeleteGlobal warming started this century. Earth is getting warmer. It has caused some bad results. For example because of the climate change. The ice bergs in the Arctic and the Antarctic has melted. As a individual, or as a part of earth, we suppose to do something to make it up. I have some idea here. First, less using of electronic products such as air conditioner, desktop computer. They radiate heat. That's a important reason of climate changing. Second, drive bikes or take buses for transportation. Because cars produce Carbon dioxide. If carbon dioxide increased, global warming will become worse. These two things are small things. Everyone can make it. We should start at small things to protect our common home.

When the oils and coal bring, that will make heat energy. The war also make the world heat. Everyone want to live in peace world. It's like a win-win event. I think every country should appeal the people don't waste too much energy.

We see many news about the because of the world be warmer the polar bear they lost their home, even face extinction. Actually not just the polar bear, if the world until be warm I think the world will be destroy. I think we need starting from the side, like garbage classification, or don't waste, they look like not very big things, but if everyone will do this a little things, I think the world will be good. And most importantly things is the industrial waste, now this world every country all want be powerful, but they didn't think about if the excessive to use of the world's resources,the world will be bad. So i think protecting the home, need to starting from yourself.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know, this is a really serious question. Although there are many reasons to explain this big problem and it is include some natural gas. However, everyone has their responsibilities to protect the earth, so do I. We all live in the earth, the same earth, different places. What we can do is try our best to protect the environment. Like strengthening environmental awareness and raise the environmental awareness of citizens, white settlement of pollution and other pollution premise. Anyway if we don't start to protect the environment and pay attention to this problem that will make the earth get badly.
ReplyDeleteDuring today, I think the climate change is because of the atmosphere damaged. People cut down a lot of trees that makes more than a certain carbon dioxide levels. Then the Earth is getting warmer, glacier is melting, the sea levels are higher, and the weather is becoming abnormal. This just like to give the Earth a warm jacket.

The most thing that very helpful is government to urged the world to put fund in want of the foundation. The advertisement of TV programs can promote green travel.

The problem of global warming is have advantages and disadvantages. Although a lot of people did not pay attention to this problem is still a cause damage to the environment. But in my opinion this problem on our lives is affecting many. But more important is as people who live on earth we should make their own contributions to this problem. For me I will use environmentally friendly products, tell friends don't pollute the environment, from their start to protect our earth.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, if everybody try to walk to work ,the pollution will be reduce, and we should plant more trees .The government should pay money for providing public transportation. Don't throw the rubbish! If everyone try them best to do ,the environment will be better!

ReplyDeleteIf I am a leader of a leader of a country. I want my people know how bad global warming is. We only have one earth. We need protect it. So I want people in earth, start take more public transportation. Like bus and subway. If people can stop drive privet car too much, that will help our interment getting better too. Chemical Factory can make global warming worth too. So I want make some serious role for it.
The weather of the earth is getting warmer day by day. The reason is the amount of CO2 is produced more. That is not a good thing for human. The sea will rise and some Island countries will be destroyed. The way to solve this problem is change our life style. For example, we can walk to somewhere which is not far instead of driving. We can plant more trees.

ReplyDeleteIn my perspective, the most important thing to do is reduce the pollution from any kind of harmful gas. That is the only way to decrease the speed of global warming. To reach the goal, we can do many things: we can riding bike to go to school instead of driving a car. Also, decrease the amount of the factories, and use some clear energy like solar power and nuclear power. The world is getting warmer and warmer, everyone should do something for the world. The earth is the only planet that scientists discover. We depend on this planet. Once it done, we all done. So, protect the world for now.
