- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
It's difficult to talk about that because I'm from Spain and in Spain is always happening things like that. I'm not anti-human but is they want a quiet place the first thing they have to do is stop fighting because they are guilty of the reason of their flight. If I were there, helping them I would cure them, feed them and I would return them to their country
ReplyDeleteI think it's kind of serious, because everyone in the world hope no war, hope we are living in a peace world. Because of the war,refugees don't have place to live, they do nothing, they are innocent.
ReplyDeleteI think the strong countries in European should help refugees, like Germany England. Take Germany for example, we both know German created the World War Two times. Many people dead because of the war, also many refugees. Now Germany change their attitude, they recognized their wrong. They can use this chance to help refugees, to show now they are a really friend country.
They can build house to house refugees,and provide food. The biggest thing is to stop the war, if they don't refugees will be more.
In my opinion, I don't think European countries allow refugees because with lots of refugees entering will brings hidden dangers. European countries will support them relief goods instead of safe places. Refugees have places to live when they their own countries. They need to live in the mountain where locates far a way from the war.
ReplyDeleteFor example I'm from Ukraine and now many people who can go abroad to live go from Ukraine, becouse of war, all countries where they can go glad to see them. I think that all people should have the same rules. All should be allowed to go to European countries if they need it. And all countries must be polite to refugees. All people have problems. So image that you will be on their place and countries will say that you can't come, what will you do? So all countries should be polite and help them, and also try to stope war in country even how hard it will be.
ReplyDeleteFor a long time this topic taking place on the all countries agenda. Especially my country is interested in this topic because most of the refugees who fled from these countries come to Turkey. Turkey welcome these people and help them. They have a camping area and many
ReplyDeleteopportunities. For example; they can work, going school and get Turkish citizenship. But most of them are miserable. They fled their countries to make a better life for themselves, but it’s not like they imagine. They are
losing their lives. Besides this some countries not welcome to them, they try to keep them out. In my opinion countries with strong economy should help to refugees. Even though if they might not welcome them they can do anything to the end of the war.
For Me as a Chinese, we had a lots of refuges from africa and the middle east, for the ethnicity of muslims, they moved to Xinjiang Province which has a lot of muslim culture over there so the Chinese government accepted the refuges and letting them becoming a citizen of china and so as Hong Kong, they could also have jobs, going to school and even having their own house.
ReplyDeleteBut the problem is that in china, some places were chaotic, like Xinjiang, Yunnan and Hong Kong. That is because there was a lot of border skirmishes between Burma and China and in Xinjiang theres terrorist attacks from the Al Qaeda, and Hong Kong has Triads and Filipino Terrorists around the coast so that is one point the Chinese Government must worry about.
I think talk about it is hard for me because I'm from China.I think in this issue, ever country should say:"NO!I refuse."Because if you save their life,more people will do same thing like before.We should save their countries instead save their life.Save thier life for a period of time is good way, but not for a long time.So according to my ideas, I think these contries should save them for a short time is the best way.I think these refugees are innocent because their contries make trouble.In my opinion,if these countries do not allowed to go to Europe,I think these refugees should do something to destroy their goverment and get other countries help for destroy.Finally,I want to say:"A good country's most important issue is let the country's humans get good life."
ReplyDeleteI think that all the countries should allowed people come from other countries. Can you imagine that your country will be in war situation, what should you do? I think probably find a better safe place to live. So as I said all the countries should be helpful and allowed people come from other countries. People have to be in safe place. A lot of people dying, when the country in war situation. It is very important!
ReplyDeleteThis topic is so familiar for me. I observed this event closely… Because I live in Turkey, I see so many syrian in our streets. So I witness to this. And so many people know the little syrian baby’s dead body which is found in Turkey’s coast. I mean what was his fault? Nothing. He was just a little innocent baby. That syrian family just wanted to go to a peaceful place to live. They didn’t deserve this.
ReplyDeleteBecause of all these all European countries should welcome these people and also should help them. They are human same as us. I am proud of my country because of that. Even we welcome syrian people, we have also relief camps for them. So like Turkey, every Euoropean country should do these. We are all same, and we should help each other.
I have no idea for this topic because I am not European. However, I hear that a number of refugees is trying to enter into Europe arduously, but they don’t want to stay at the edge of Europe countries, like Italy, Greece, and Hungary. Their goal is going to some Northern European countries such as Germany, and British. Therefore, the president of Germany predicts that Germany will accept about 800 thousand refugees. When I knew this news, I was totally surprised. How can? How do Middle East countries have numerous refugees? In my opinion, Germany, England, and France can help them because those countries are advanced, but they can help that time, they cannot help them permanently. Due to war, thousands of refugees are in dangerous. They are innocent, and poor. If they are not allowed to go to Europe, they can’ t do anything. That why refugees attempt to enter Europe, even if they may die.

ReplyDeleteDuring 2013-2015, in Middle East. There are wars in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Like Syria, the war is between government army and anti-government army. ISIS also attacks to Syria and Iraq and try to make a new country in Syria and Iraq. People in Syria and Iraq are lost their house, family members and their jobs. They doesn't have a good life anymore. So, they try to leave their country and go to Europe or other countries in Middle East. They want to have a good life and a good job. But the road is hard. They become to refugees. Lots of people died on the road that they go to Europe. Even little children. It makes people will feel sad. their countries can't do anything for them. Some people go to Europe successfully. But, some countries government keep them out. Some countries welcome them, like Germany. I know about Germany government accept the refugees. They can get food and tent and they can find some jobs to keep their economy. I think European countries should help the refugees. Like, England, France, and Germany. Those are developed countries. They have condition to help refugees. There is nothing different between, European, Black man, Asian, American and Arabian. We are all humans. We should help each other when someone or some countries needs help. We also love peace and we don't want any wars. Every country have obligation to help each other. Some countries afraid of some terrorists may pretend to refugees go into the country and do some bad things. They can make some law to make sure the safe refugees can come in, and those terrorists can't have chance to come in. I think the refugees should thanks to the government who welcome them. They shouldn't have complain that they don't get a good environment to live. They should treasure their time to work in a safe place or live in a safe place for short-term.

I think that these countries always happen some wars, and terroristic organization compels to occupy some places that lead to make more and more refugees cannot stay in their countries. Then they just leave their countries and look for new safer places. In my opinion, some European countries should need to help some refugees. I believe that people should be fair each other and people should have sympathetic hearts. Refugees are also people and they need to help. No one wants them to die. There are a lot of poor refugees who want to have warm happiness families and find some new safer places. In fact, some countries don’t allow too many refugees to go Europe. I believe that people should think about what happen these refugees in the future. Most of refugees will die because of the food supplies and some diseases. As for as I am concerned, therefore, countries should contribute enough money to build some house and buy abundant foods. Many people make them warmth and safety. I wish that many refugees will live in safer places.
In the world has a lot of refugees, they grow up in the war or they abandoned by their parents.as the result they become refugees, most of refugees’ country have a lot of war so they have to immigrant other country , i don’t know the European like Germany and France and england will welcome these people and help them or try to keep them out ,but i just know because of the war make them have no place to live ,probably some countries will help them ,but they also scared . The government think they are spies or terrorists that they steal something important information and attack the country.for example the syrian refugees immigrant america,some people welcome them ,but some government think they will attack america. if so ,a lot of refugees will no home and they are no place to live,and they just only roam the streets for begging ,i just hope some country can help them and provide food and place for them ,with the remarkable improvement of people’s living standard ,they need help.

The refugees who are from war-ton places are innocent. I think European should accept refugees. The European also should give them tents and some food to them. The refugees should do something that good for Europe, like finding a job and so on. It's just because Europe provides the shelters and food for them and all of these are all free. But if Europeans don't allow that, they can go to other countries around Europe, like the United States. Even though I don't know if the United States countries's government would allow them. I also think they can go sign a contract to prove that they will do something for the countries who allow them.
People who is in that boat, They want to escape from their own country, And they want safe life and free. Because of Race, religion, or political and ideological differences or war. They has fear about their country, They want to escape. I understand their situation, but I think we should screening little difficult. Here is my opinion about why we should screening little difficult. Frist, They have other culture. If we just accommodate them, They will make their own region like China town, and If this persists, They don't want communicate with that country, finally, they will make their own region on other country. And also It’s possible that country lost their own culture because of the foreign Second, Foreign crime rate is high. I can’t define all foreign is bad, But they are still not safe. Because they get some discrimination by people and they can make trouble with people. Last, they steal job for own citizen. In modern society, we don't have enough job for youth. But If foreign take their’s job, It could be one big problem.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard question for me. I know how much hard it must be for refugees who try to run and save their life from their home country. On the other hand I totally understand all countries which don't want them. Probably they got fear too, because I know from Czech how some refugees can be dangerous. European countries should build some camps for them and try to help them. Refugees should be very respectful for all rules!! It's terrible what is happening with our world. I am very sad for that. For all refugess is probably just one solution and it's go to Europe and save their life and mainly for their families!!! If everybody all around the world could share love, this never happened. We need to do something..
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Germany, France and England should help this kind of refugee and let them stay in when their country are having war. The people there are innocent, they don't deserve it, every body want to live in a peace country and avoid the war. But when the war happened, the developed country should give them a hand, for example, Germany and England can give the refugee places to live, food and drink. When the war end, the government can expel them because they don't need any protection. And also, developed country should send some army to the place where have war, and help them to finish it as soon as they can. Sometimes, war has been created by some simple reason. Maybe they can give some support. About the refugees, they cannot go anywhere expect some country near their boarder or share the boarder with them. The only thing they could do just run away and save their life. For me, if I am one of the refugee, i will feel very disappoint of my country because they don’t do what they should do for citizens.

ReplyDeleteMy opinion?Well I think there are two types of refugees.One of them are refugees which come to our country and follow our rules and then they have really nice life.The second type are the refugee which follow their rules even if they are in our country and they will never follow our rules because..I really don't why but it is unfair,our parents in our country pay big taxes for them and they aren't grateful and also they break every single rule.This gets mad.I am that person who wants to try new things and also I am open-minded to other cultures but everything has limits.
Recently we have seen terrible images on the news lately. We have heard heartbreaking stories about the debilitating "sit-ins", at a Budapest train Station, the discovery of the bodies of approximately 71 migrants in the truck in Austria, and three-years-old Syrian boy found dead on a resort beach in Turkey. I think the world doesn't know the realities of the international situation of the refugees. Maybe European countries should help Syrian and the surrounding countries with food donations or put an end to the wars. However it is not so easy for Europeans to have so many refugees in the European countries. The established rules and parameters are ignored or circumvented. The refugees should try to begin a new life without war because to live in war can be one of the worst things. However they should not stay in their own houses during the war. They should go to an other country nearby that is not so dangerous. Other than Europe, there are many other choices for these refugees to go.

ReplyDeleteIt is a hard decision. Germany and France are very wealthy countries and they can let some refugees to live in their country. However, it cannot solve the problems. European countries cannot take refugees forever because they don't have enough place. Refugees should have their homeland. I think strong country can help to end the war in war countries and help them to build peace. Therefore, refugees can live in their homeland and they don't need to do dangerous. The picture is a boat with many people, it is very dangerous. Many people die on the way. I really think strong countries should help them to stop the war.

Some people are not refugees, and they slip in with the real refugees. Some citizen afraid fighters attack them. Just check them. I hope refugees can find a save place to live with their family.
I was thinking about this question and for me is difficult to answer it because I'm form Spain and now a days this is happening . I think that is good to give a refuse to the people who need it because is good to be honest and to think sometimes in the other person . Also I think that they can refugee some people but not all of them because they are too many and that is so difficult for only one country. Then when the war in their country finish they can go back . I think that is good to help people because imagine that we are in that situation we will want to had help of other countries so we have to do the same to that people that are in a bad situation to make them be comfortable for a period of time .
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to say... Luckily, I am always living in a country which is not in time of war. So, I might not know the feelings of people in those war-torn countries. Therefore, I just say something what I am thinking as a spectator.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I just want to ask about that whether the maker of the war can think of the problems which is caused by the war or not? If they do, they might think about how to solve these troubles. Obviously, they don't have the solutions to deal with those problems. So, my opinion is that if the government does not have abilities to stabilize their countries after the wars, do not make the war.
The second thing is the people who want to move to another country. For them, I would like to say "Do not give up your routes of retreat", that is so important. That is your choices no matter you are going to another country or just staying. But, whatever you choose, do not take any chances. For example, if you want to move to another country, you must choose more than one countries which allow you to come. It's just like applying for universities. Most of the students might apply for several universities and colleges, just in case. Even the people who want to stay, you also need to prepare for another choice.
Thirdly, the European countries. There is not no advantages to allow these people to come, like accelerating the culture exchange. If you are worried about the population, you can just come up with the solutions. For example, you can restrict the number of the people who is coming. In a word, allow them to come in your countries, there is no disadvantage. If there is, just solve it.
That's all.
I spent a lot of time on this topic . In my opinion, if countries help those refugees out depends on their countries condition,status,economic and relationships between the other countries and their own countries. However,I think they should help Them as well as they can,because it is hard to stop wars. So I think the best way to help them is the stronger countries merging the other smaller countries and protect them.

ReplyDeleteThere is no solution for this big enigma, what ever they do is going to be bad for someone. Why they can't enter in other country if they are in danger in his country? What should the government do if there is too much immigrants?
It would be fantastic if we are able to take care of them, and we can give them food, a place to live and all that kind of stuff that a person needs to live, but is completely impossible, because I think that is also expensive to take care of all the immigrants from all the different country's. That's an utopia everyone would like that to happen, but there’s no space, money and imagine that a country let all the people enter in his country that would be terrible!!

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the countries shouldn't receive all the people, because it might bring some bad disease, and might make more people suffered, but I think the countries can receive some of the people, who is healthy and diligent, and make sure that they can make something good for the country. For other people, they should find ways to prove they can do something good for the country, or they should find some other ways to survive.
ReplyDeleteI think refugees are so pitiful. If they are not going to other countries, they cannot save their life. The war makes them in the danger, they could drop dead at any time. They need help, they need a safety place. They just want to live. So in my opinion, European should allow them to go to Europe. If Europe countries worry about the refugees will increase their countries 'population, I will say after the war, most of them will go back to their own country. If they don't, European countries can repatriate them to their own countries.

ReplyDeleteThe problem of refugees is a really hard for me to choose. There are both good and bad parts for those countries which help them out or keep them up. The good part is if countries can accept them, they might live, and support their family and children. Also they find a job in those countries that receive them to live.
ReplyDeleteThe bad part is if those refugees live a country that does not have enough space for them, it will make country short of food, water even happening diseases surround the whole country. My option is that people have to help and save each other, everyone has their rights to live in the world and support family to have a great life for the rest of the life.
I think we should keep the refugees out. People from Syria, Libya, and Afghanistan should stay in their country and fight with theirselves right. Only cowards will run away from their county and choose to live them own. Men should help their rights and protect the county they grow and women need to support men to fight. Nobody will except people who choose to live to throw away they county. There are bad people who want to go to other countries for commit. The best way for them to sneak in is pretending they are refugees and cheat others sympathy for committing. Anther hands, they are still beggars, even they get to go in other countries. They will die at the end. It won't be any difference than die in their mother land. They will die anyway, so I more like people who fight for their country to make the county better, than people trying to run away and become refugees.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, European countries don't have to choose to receive the refugees. If they choose to receive these refugees of course it is better. But if they don't, it is ok, it is not their fault. Maybe they have too many people to receive more. Maybe they don't have enough room. However, refugees always work harder, work better and earn less. There are always many countries want to receive them. So I am not really worried about these refugees.

All men are created equally, and so are refugees. The innocent refugees should not live in the chaos caused by war, and lead a happy life as us. In my opinion, European countries should spare no effort to save their lives. Those refugees flee to European countries because they still have confidence there. For countries lacking labor force, refugees can help to reduce the stress from shortage of labor. If these European countries accepted their entering, offered food and accommodated them, they would be deeply grateful and try their best to make contribution to the country.
Refugees are the biggest problem right now to Europe. There are so many misunderstand of refugees and I don't think all the things are going on the right way.

At last, local European afraid of losing their welfare and jobs. I thought it's a groundless anxiety. The refugees are much more possible to lose their jobs than take the job from the natives.

My point of view is that Europe had done the big mistake by allow refugees and help them to move to there countries, because this refugees destroying, killing and doing many bad stuff. I think countries need to allow moving people from countries who have war to there countries but judge them if they do something wrong by there politics and rules.
