"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" is an expression in English, meaning that a child is similar to his/her parents in appearance, personality, habits, and other ways, too. Do you think this is true? Do you know any children who aren't at all like their parents? Some children resemble one parent more closely than another - both in looks and in behavior. Why does that happen? How about you: which parent are you most like? Or are you one of those unusual children who isn't like either parent?
Actually,i think children are similar as their parents.Your parent's gene will decide what you will be like in the future.If your parents are tall, and you will be tall,this is because the gene's reflection.And some parts of your body may be very similar to your parents.For example, you hair's color,skin,height.However,i believe this similar just appeared in the likeness.In some way,your personality may be quite different from your parents,because your parent may be out for the business or work all the day.If the parents did not spend a lot of time with the child,this will influence the child's growth a lot.They will be introverted,short-spoken,even strange from the same age's children.One of my friends, he has the similar likeness as his parents,but his parents were really busy all the time for some reasons.As a result,he is lack of his parent's love,then he is very short-spoken,whereas his parents are very outgoing.This proved my supposition.In a word,i authentically believe.As a partent, you should spend a lot of time with your child,no matter how busy you are,because your child really needs you.
ReplyDeleteIn my views, I think all children are simliar as their parents because of the genetics. As for me, I look most like my mother. Actually, My mom is taller in women, and I am the medium of the height, I think that is good because my father isn't very much tall. I have to say my mom is a kind,virtuous and beautiful person. She taught me a lot about how to be a good man. And I think I am a kind virtuous man too. I would love to help someone when they need help, that is which my mother always do! All in all, I think I look and my behavior is most like my mother.
ReplyDeleteI believe most part of children are simliar to their parents. The most basic reason is gene, so children are simliar to parents in appearance. As for habits, children live with their parents. They may get up at same time, have the same breakfast. So I think when people stay together for a long time, they will be similar. So parents always suggest us don't make friends with bad people, because we will stay a long time with our friends, so bad friends my spread negative behaviour. Children get along well with their parents, then they may have more conversations with their parents. During the conversation, children could learn some knowledge and opinions. Children learn quite fast when they are developing. I think I am more simliar to my father, he always talks with me about his thought, and then asks my opinion. So when we come up with our thought in my family, my ideas are always same as my father. As for character, I like talking with my friends, but I almost don't talk when I stay with strangers. It is total same as my father.

It doesn't mean that my father doesn't like me, but tend to be understood with complaints. My father has strong perservance and pugnacious personality that I will probably, in my life, never learn from him. He succeeds in business. I am walking in the campus limitless. I enjoy to be unusual. But my father keeps telling me that it is not in the right track, you should follow the crowd, boy. No sense at all! I want to prove myself, and I know I will never surpass my father.
ReplyDeleteGenetically, of course all the kids will be like their parents on the appearance in some way. The DNA they got is the combination their parents'. Some may have a different height as their parents but overall most kids look like their parents. For me, I cannot see any similarity between me and my parents on the appearance, but others always I look like them when I am younger. I guess since the society is different from 30 years before, the things we eat are different so we might not look like our parents too much. However, my personality is somehow alike my father's. We both have a sense of humor and optimistic about things. It makes sense because I grew up with him around. I hear and watch the things he did and imitate from him when I do know anything. There is a saying that "Parents are the first teachers of our lives."

There are reasons that children's appearance are similar to their parents, since children got genes from their parents. But personality, habits and other ways are not always like their parents. Because personality, habits and other ways will be affected by the environment: family members, friends, teachers, and people around the child. To me, I am equally similar to my mother and father in appearance. However I have a weird situation about my personality, my personality does not like anyone around me. I have no clue how that happens, maybe I am just unique one.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who has the appearance from both his mother and father, but his personality is totally different from his parents. Why did this happen? Because both of his parents are not at home and busy wokring at their company, he always plays with his friends. So his personality tend to his friends instead of his parents.
Not liking me, another friend of mine get the same personality as his father, but his outlook is more similar to his mother from his father. As I said in the beginning, children have genes from both their father and mother. Children have similar characteristic's to their parents because when they are conceived, both of the parents genes unify to create a new set of characteristic'd depending on dominant and recessive traits. For example, Peter and Mary find out they are having a baby. Peter has homozygous blue eyes whilst Mary has heterozygous brown eyes. The chances are that their baby will either have 50% homozygous blue eyes or 50% heterozygous brown eyes. In this situation, this friend happened to be like his mother with that 50% chance. But his father affect him with his personality, since his dad spent more time with him than his mom.
It's true that most of children are really like their parents in appearance, personality,... I don't think there is someone who doesn't like their parents for only 1 details, unless the child was adopted. Every child has to have at least 1 details common with their parents because of gene. Many kids are very close to their parents. I think it's because the parents are really understand their children. About me, I like my dad in appearance more than my mom, but my behavior is more like my mom.
ReplyDeleteI agree that most children are similar to their parents, and I believe in every family, the children are more closer to a parent than the other. I heart that most girls are closer to their father, but I am a counterexample. In my family, I love my mother more than my father, because my father has a bad temper and easily to angry, also,he is very feudal, he always force me to do something I dislike. For example, I want to learn Marine Science in my college but he wants me take business. Even my mother sometimes was unhappy and called him Terracotta Warrior which means really old mind. I was really dislike about that and do opponents to defense. But I am similar with him that I am a bilious person too. On the other hand, my mother is a virtuous wife; I learned cook foods from her and good at on it, so lots of friends said I am really similar to my mother. The children should be similar with their parents because the gene, but no matter what happens in my family, I trust both my parents are always love me.

Outside look depeneds on genes, moral look depends on how parents present life to their children, and what children inherit themselves.Of course, there are children who are not related to their parents at all, but usually this piriod happenes during their teens age. I personally love both of my parents and I was always realted to both of them. Sometmes I was closer to my dad, sometimes to my mom, sometimes I hated both. Children can’t run away from the fact that they have parents, whatever parents will do to us we will always love them.

i think girls get closer with their mums than with their dads, becuase both are womens and they understand about stuff that guys don't and vice versa, so if you spend more time for example with your dad you will be getting more similar to him (face and attitude).
most of the people that i know, when i was little, they said i was really similar to my dad in everything but now they changed their mind and they think i am more similar to my mum, but in my opnion i think i have more characteristics from my dad than from my mum.
In my opinion, there is no reason kids don't look like their parents unless they are adopted. I believe all the children are similar as their children. Such as the looks and personalities. I am good example of this. I looks like my dad. When I was a little boy, I didn't look like my dad. Probably because I did't grow up. But right now, my mouth, eyes and norse, even my eyebrow exactly look like my father. I am close to my dad. Because when I am a kid, my mom never take care of me. She always hang out with her friend and leave me at home. My dad always teach me some experiences and tell me to be respectful to my teachers. That's why I close to my dad.

Someone said that girls look like their mom and boys look like their father. When i was young, people said i was more similar to my mom but when i become order, people say i'm more similar to my father, children will change during their growth.Children can’t run away from the fact that they have parents, whatever parents will do to us we will always love them.

ReplyDeleteChildren's behavior depends on the environment in which they grew during their childhood. On the on hand, most children grow with their parents, leading to the similarity of personality. On the other hand, the environment also can change the personality of a child, making one resembles his parents in appearance but not in character. Only under the special situation, can a child become iconoclastic.
In my opinion,outside look depends on genes,so most part of children are simliar to their parents.But in disposition，depends on how their parent teach them and also depends on their friends.So most of children have different Personality to their parents. ReplyDeleteFor me this sentence makes sense at all, because one child's behavior and character are strongly influenced by the environment and the experiences this child lives during life. Most of these experiences are closely related to their parents, so the child tends to follow his/her parents characteristics. My sister doesn't behaves like my parents at all, and I think the reason is that she used to stay in school for most part of her childhood. So, I guess the absorbed more behaviors related with her friends and classmate. I think my behavior and way of life match with both my parents. In many aspects I can compare myself to them. Sometimes I would say that I'm closer to my father because he is a man.
ReplyDeleteOur parents gave birth to us, so that in order we kind have to be like our parents, but because of the environments, the way our parents treat us and the way our grandparents treat our parents, we and our parents are meant to be different. So I think parents and us have both similarity and difference.I have a lot similarity with my parents, especially with my father,but I actually hope that I'm nothing like my parents and I will not treat my children the way they treated me. It's not like they are really bad to me, but I do see the different ending if they did a better job than this, or if they even tried.

And they are living together for a long time, so, children are similar as their parents. Just like me, my mom and dad were tall in that time when they are teenager, so I am taller than my friends. And my father has short curly hair, I have short curly hair too. I have the similar eyes as my mom's. In my family, we never abuse anybody, and we are not flatulent. Because of these, my father, my mom, and my brother, have so many good friends, I have a lot of friends too. So, I think children are similar as their parents.

ReplyDeleteI believe that kids will behave follow their parents because when we were young, we learned things by imitating. The best people to imitate were our parents. And the atmosphere and education in family also affect kids. Take me as an instance, I behave more like my father. He is an officer in bank and he is better at social than at studying. Our hobbies are close. We both like to hike, fishing, and playing sports. Even our disadvantage is same, we are both kind of lazy.

Because of the gene, the children will looks like his/ her parents at less one point. I looks like my father very much. A lot people say," you are look like brothers." When I was 5 years old, I like my mother more than my father. Because my father always ask my do something I don't like. As I grown up, I stat understand why my father asks me to do that things. If parents spend enough time with their child and take care of them, their child may under the influence of them. If child's mother spend more time with the child than his father does, the child will under his mother's influence and become more and more like his mother. i prefer my father better, i think my father is a responsible man . He uses his strong arms to support a wreck building, just like he support me a lot. He has a open mind, he always come out some great ideas.
Of course, the children will certainly like their parents, including appearance, personality, and interests. But I think there is some reason that beyond genetic reasons. Although my parents are very short, I’m not alike them in that way. But I still like my parents in other aspects. For example, the personality, my personality is much like my mother's, just like what you do and do what you say. But it is easy to impulse, often without a brain to think. I think the reason is because of the impact of the growth environment. When two people live together for a long time, their character and behavior would become alike to each other. I like the parents treat their children as friends, instead of hitting children and complaining when they do something wrong. Luckily, my mom is the parent who will never do that to me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I in China, my cousins always say that I look like my parents in some parts. Like my eyes look like my mom, and my nose looks like my dad etc. Something like that. But I always think I am not look like my parent. I am more beautiful than them. Huh! Just kidding. Actually, I think most children look like their parent in character. They will inherit their parents' temperament, and the behavior parents did also will influence the children, they will learn it, even some bad behavior. Like my family, I inherit my mom's testiness. When I meet something bad or unlucky, like I don't like the weather. Then I will feel everything is not good. It makes want to shout, to hit something. But I also inherit my dad's slow motion. In here, I need arrive the school before 8:00 every morning. So I'll get up at 7:15, but sometime I will still late for school. My roommate Aaron always gets up at 7: 30, but he can finish everything and go to school in 15 minutes. How can he do it !?

I think it is really. The children's DNA is from their parents, so the DNA will take many information from parents to children. The personality we inherit from our parents and the situation and experiences that we encounter in life. The person's appearance i think most of the children is like their parents maybe like mother more or like father more, but some people their don't like they parents. I like my mother morn than my father, but my Behavior and character is like my father morn than my mother.

They teach us a lot of stuff. Child is similar his/her parents. Some stuff child learns from his/her mother, other stuff he/she learns from her/his father. I don't know people who doesn't resemble his'her parents. Even though she/he doesn't closely resemble one parent, he resembles another parent. I resemble my father in behavior and habits. I also resemble my mother in character.

For example, so many friends of mine are like either their mothers or their fathers, and some of them are like both their mothers and fathers. How about me? I tend to be like my father regardless of my looks and behavior. That is due to gene. It means that children’s looks and behaviors have been made before they are born.
ReplyDeleteTwo aspects to indicate a child, appearance and personality. I think a child more or less is like his parents in appearance, it's not a thing that we can chose. I would more than happy to chose if I can, it's based on genomics. I have no problem with appearance, I look like my father a lot. But what kind of person you want to be completely depends on your own, parents just part of those whom can influence your personality. We go to school learn things and make friends, and then we have our own personality. It's still can change by ourselves if we want, but it is very hard.

As we know how important the education from children's parants. In China, We call parents," frist teachers of your life". The way parents raise kids can affect their entire life. Allow me to tell you a story. When I was 7 year-old I steal 10 yuan(RMB) from my mother's closet because I was eagerly to buy a new generation toy. unfortunately,my dad fond it out immediately. He didn't say nothing, Just waved to let me go over. He said: "go to work with me today." I couldn't tell anything from his expressionless face. We could sit on my dad's nice car and open the AC to avoid extremely hot temperature. However, My dad took me to the bus station. We took the bus. After we arrived company, dad ordered me to clear up the floor, hand out the files, even make cup of coffee. The end of the day, I was really confused why my dad told we to do those stupid things. But dad told me:" workers worked hard all day long to get their wage. And you just steal mine that doesn't belong to you this morning. Otherwise, if you keep thinking about how to play and don't think about how to get a better education. The jobs you did today maybe will be your future. Think about it carefully my son." After all I was still confused but I've started to think about is that nice to steal the money? and what is my future going to be? I figured it out myself. My dad was the man who guided me to the right way on the foggy sea. There were more and more events my parents did that tell me how to do in my life. So I think "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" is pretty much right.

ReplyDeleteI believe that most of the children are very similar as their parents, they always have the same hobbies and looks, it is not only because of the DNA, but also because parents are the closest person to a child, when the baby came to this world, they knew nothing,but their parents taught them everything, and their personal characteristic affected them, made those children became similar as their parents.

Children will follow what their parents do. So the children personality and habit will look very similar to their parents. Although most children look similar with their parnets, still there will be some special children that isn't look alike to their parents. But there are only a little amount children because some reason don't look like their parents.
In my opinion, children are always similar to their parents. Because the parents are with them since they were young. The parents teach their children what do they do when something happens. They teach the children their opinions of each thing. So children learn how their parents do when they were small. As we all know, it's easy to build the basic at first. And it's much harder if they have built the habit of how they do. So children learn what they will behave in the future when being with the parents. So that's why children behave so like their parents. A Chinese proverb says:" How the father behaves, so does his son." So I think children always behave like their parents.

The parents of every word and action, will affect the child, children imitating, children will learn the parents and action. As parents, must give the child to create a good environment for the growth, must be strict self-discipline, give their children make good example. Teach children to correctly judge things, guide the children grow healthily. Now every family generally have a child, the child 's childhood education is every parent 's responsibility, after all parents are the first teachers of the children. I think that I have similarities with my father about personality. We are not talking so much in a place, where there are many people. In our country, there is some word that child is mirror of house. It means child show parents behavior with his behavior. I think that there is no one that he or she doesn't look like or he or she don't have similarities with his or her parents.
Children are the same with their parents. I am similar with my dad and my brother he is similar with my mom. I look like my dad because we have the same eyes and same face. When i was in Russia the teachers in my school sometimes are saying that i look like my dad.

ReplyDeleteI agree that a child is almost similar to his parent. In China, we have a word that " Girls are more like her father and boyes are more like his mother." I think my appearance is more like my father. But my personality and habits are more like my mother. It's interesting because it involves the genetics. The people's gene has two different type, dominant gene and recessive genes. And the recessive genes is the one will not appear but still in your body. Like single-edged eyelid is a kind of recessive genes and double eyelid is dominant gene. If your parents are double eyelid， there is a chance that you are single-edged eyelid.
ReplyDeleteI have to say most children look like their parents because of genes. But for some reasons many children don't look like their parents. Just like me , a lot of people said I only have a few parts of my face look like my parents. I am more similarly with my grandmother. That's a part of interesting thing about gene. As for behavior, I think a person stay with child longer than others, the child's behavior will be affect like that person more. I spent lot of time with my mom so my behavior act like my mom more than my dad. Young child copy and related to their parents, so children's like their parents.

I enjoyed reading them, and was interested that several of you mentioned your similarity to grandparents - genes can "skip" generations, as can personality traits. Maybe the best people to judge who we resemble is not ourselves but those who know us well.
