Journal Question #13

A recent study says that, by adding three servings of fruits and vegetables to your daily diet, you can have "prettier skin." Eating more fruits and vegetables, in other words, will add more color to your skin, decrease acne, and, in general, make you look healthier. (In fact, you will be healthier if you eat more fruits and vegetables.) What do you say? Will eating better help your skin? Does this information inspire you to eat fruits and vegetables? Or do you eat lots of fruits and vegetables already? Talk about your healthy - or unhealthy - eating habits.

    I have already aten a lot of fruits and vegetables. I healthy habits are very colorful. i always drink some milk every night. And every morning, I always eat some bread and some fruits. But I also like
    eat noodles and rice in lunch and supper. My favorite rice is beef
    rice. I don't like eat in the middle night.Because I think it's ont

  2. As for me, I love fruits and vegetables. Not eating meat does help people keep fit. People who I know are vegetarians are slim.My skin problem becomes more serious since I'm in the United States because I eat less fruits or vegetables than I used to. It's a big problem for me to solve. What's more, sometimes meat tastes weird. They are very greasy. That's why I don't like meat as much as vegetables and fruits. I prefer juicy food.And fruits taste more natural because we don't need to cook it.
    I don't think that I have a lot of unhealthy eating habits . But I like eating cold food. It makes my stomach doesn't feel good. And it's not good for my body too. What's more, I eat too much per meal. It's not good for keeping fit.

  3. I love fruits, especially apples. I think fruits are good for my health. But compare with vegetables ,I prefer to eating meat. Now I think it is un-healthy .
    I believe that fruits and vegetables can affect both of our skin and health. I want to change my diet after I read this information. I plan to eat more vegetables and one apple every day. I also think that I should not eat cold food because they are not good for my stomach.

I love fruit because it's very health, but some fruit I still don't like such as lemon, I don't like it because it's very sour and I don't like sour thing my favourite fruit is strawberry, it taste sweet and strawberry also looks nice, eat fruit ,it can makes us health. we can also get Vc while eating the fruit so I like it

ITs true that eat more fruits can help to improve you skin, but it depends on what fruits you eat.Some of the fruit can make you skin get better, but some of it can make it worst.But its ture that fruits can help you to maintain a health body.When i was in Hong Kong, i usually eat fruits, but when i came to here, i dont, because the fruits in our school are fresh enough, but i think the most effective way to improve you skin is to sleep early everyday, it can help you not just for your skin, but for everything.

  6. wow, i just know it. i think it's a good idea to help health. sometimes i eat fruit. i only eat apple and watermallen. now i need to find the 3rd fruit to eat. we can get lots of vitaim from fruit. my eating habit is not good , i love eat meat and egg, but i don't like vegetable. now i need to change it .

Fruits and vegetables can help to keep you healthy.And it can also help you to improve your skin,it can add more color to your skin, decrease acne.It is very important to eat fruits and vegetables,it can keep your body balance,and then you won't get sick.I like eating meat ,and I don't like eating fruits and vegetables.Now,I know that is wrong,because if you only eat meat but don't eat any fruits or vegetables,you will become fat and weak.That's easy to get sick.I have to change my eating habit.I should eat three kinds of fruits and three kinds of vegetables to eat.That's the right way.

  8. My eating habits is not very good, but not too bad. I don't like to eat vegetables, so I eat hamburgers that contain a lot of vegetables every day at lunch.I force myself to eat vegetables by that way. I don't like to eat fruit, but I will still force myself to eat bananas every day. At least, I can assure you that every day my nutritional requirements is enough. But now it seems to me the number of eating fruits and vegetables is not enough, because studies show that need at least three kinds of vegetables and fruit is enough.

  9. Fruits and vegetables can improve our skin. And they also can make us more healthy. Fruits and vegetables provide a great amount of vitamins and fibers. Fruits and vegetables can help prevent the movement of blood, decrease the blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, dissolve fat, and they also in favor of preventing cancer etc diseases. Vegetables and fruits contains a lot of nutrients. Those nutrients are beneficial for us. "A healthy body, a healthy mind." We need have a healthy body, then we can work hard and play hard. My eating habit is not really very healthy. In fact i do eat lots of fruits and vegetables already. And I also try to avoid the drinks and snacks that contained high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is harmful for our diet. Whereas, natural sugar from the fruits is good for us. I like to eat apples, oranges, and bananas. Those fruits are easy to find in any store like " Hanaford, and Shaws." Those fruits are cheap and healthy. My worse eating habit is i like to eat a lot of breads in the dinner. Although i choose to eat the whole wheat breads or the multi-grain breads. But I did eat a lot. The fiber from the wheat breads is good for my body, but without the fiber those breads contained a large amount of the carbohydrate. Carbohydrate is equal to sugar. Dr. Oz said :" If we want to own a healthy body and try to lose weight. We'd better eat less carbohydrate, meat, and sugar in the dinner." Therefore, Dr.Oz suggests we should eat more vegetables and fruits for dinner.

    I don't care what kinds of vegetables and fruit is good for my skin, or for my look. Beauty isn't important for me. I just like to eat fruit and vegetables, because they are even more delicious than meat for me. in some ways, I care about my health very much, so I love to eat fruit and vegetables. I also think fruit and vegetables have a good taste, don't they?
    I need to see I'm a real meat-eater. But I also need to eat fruit and vegetables at the same time. I need a balanced diet in all the ways. In my family, all of us think health is the first, most important stuff we have to keep on.

  12. There is no doubt that fruits and vegetables are healthy foods. They can not only improve our skins,but also can make our body more healthy. However,most of the children don't like eating fruits or vegetables.In their mind,meats,steaks and fishes are more delicious and nutritious.Including me, I used to have very bad eating habits. I seldom ate fruits or vegetables when I am young. For no reasons, I began to eat fruits and vegetables. I realized that it is important to have a good eating habits in order to improve my body and make myself more healthy. At present, I eat vegetables more than meats and fish. I will have some fruits after breakfast and dinner. I also avoid drinking soft drink and eating fried foods. One of my bad eating habits now is that I usually eat instant noodles when I stay up all night. I know it is unhealthy.I will try my best to control myself.

  13. actually i think i am a healthy person. i eat a apple every morning and i like eating vegetables. i believe eat more fruits and vegetables can help us keep a good healthy body. i think the best staff of the earth is come from natural, and eat a lot of natural goods will improve our brain. it makes us become smarter.   14. I think I have a good eating habit. I often eat a banana in the morning. Sometimes I drink milk and eat bread for the breakfast. During the lunch, I always eat chicken and eat some lettuce. For dinner, I will eat an apple as a dessert. But I think American people like to eat the vegetables without boil it. In China, we eat stir-fried vegetables with rice. I like beans very much, but I can’t eat too many fresh beans in American, because the different countries have different eating habits. Fruit and vegetable is good for your skin. If you always eat fire-chicken and hamburgers, your skin will grow a lot of acnes. It’s not good for your stomach, too. You will be fat if you don’t eat vegetables everyday. Vegetables and fruits are our good friends!

I think eating better help my skin.Eating more fruits make me feel more energetic.I prefer to eat more fruits and vegetables.In China, my snacks are fruits.But In America, I can't find my favorite fruits. The fruits and vegetables in America are different from these in China.I have a peculiar eating habit.If the fruits are stored at room temperature, I won't eat it.I like eating fruits which has stored at cool temperature.In my opinion,American eating habits totally different from Chinese eating habits.So, when I first came America, I can't adapt the American food.

  16. Although I know that fruits and vegetables are good for our healthy, I don't want to eat fruits and vegetables. The reason why I don't want to eat fruits and vegetables is I don't want to wash them. So I like banana best,because I don't need to wash them. I don't eat fruits in the mooring, because I don't have enough time. I sometimes eat fruits in the afternoon. I always eat vegetables, not only they are healthy but also they tast good.Now, I will try to eat more fruits and vegetables.

  17. When talking about fruit and vegetable, I have so much experience. I have an apple, a lemon and a little celery in my daily diet. Some nutrition books say celery have high fibers that can help your digestive system to break down food. It also says an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Lemon contains the most vitamin c of all other fruits. Vitamin c is good for skin. Though vegetable is not as dilicious as fruits, it is good for our health. So many researches show human can not live without vegetable.

  18. Fruit are consist of many vitamins, and our bodies need those different vitamins everyday. Eating fruit helps our skins. Vegetable are good for our bodies too. They can help us better metabolism. We can not just eat a lot meat .We must eat many different everyday. We can not live well without vegetable. You will get sick very easily if you don't like eating fruit and vegetable. I like fruit and vegetable very much. One of my favourite fruit is apple. I almost eat one apple everyday. And I must eat vegetable every meal, it helps me easy to excrete. But most of time , the vegetable in our cafeteria are not very good. I am so sad about that.

  19. I like eating delicious food, especially salty food. In fact, I don't like eating fruit, though I know it will help my skin better. When my parents ask me to eat more fruit instead of snacks, I just answer that I will eat it but often forget it.

    Eating food plays an important part in my life. The food I like best is Chinese food, such as YUXIANGROUSI (鱼香肉丝). In fact, sometimes I cannot stand American food and I really miss Chineses food. Every time I talk to my parents on Skype, I always say that I really want to eat Chineses food!!!

    The biggest change of my eating habits is I try to eat fruit every day in America. Because I find that vegetables that are cooked are less and I need to keep health and don't let my parents worry about me. I don't know weather it help me a lot, because sometimes I find acne on my face...

    I will still try to eat more fruit and I can't give up eating snacks!!!!

  22. When I was very young, I didn't like to eat vegetables at all. Although I knew vegetables were good for my health. Instead, I liked eating meat very much. I was picky. But fruits are always my favorites. Fruits are healthy and delicious. And now, I eat vegetables as well. Because I know nutrition needs to be balance.
    However, I still like to eat junk food. Even though I know they are unhealthy and not clean, I just can't stop wanting to eat them. They are delicious.But they are bad for our skin and other organs. And will probably make us be fat.
    For that eating fruits can decrease acne, I don't completely agree with. As for me, eating oranges would always make me get acne. I think each kind of fruits or vegetables has different benefit. We can choose them depends on what we need.

    I like fruits such as apples, watermelon, etc. I eat fruits every day because it helps to safe you from sick.
    I don't like vegetables because they are not tasteful. Although I don't like vegetables, I have to eat this kind of food. There a lot of vitamins in vegetables and fruits.
    In my opinion, every person has to eat fruits and vegetables. If you eat those, you will improve your body, and you won't get a sick.
    When the weather is not good, especially at winter, I try to eat more fruits.

For keeping the skin health , I belief that drink more water , sleep well and wash the face recently can also make the skin health instead of eating vegetables .   27. When I was in China, my mum always bought me a lot of fruits. So that, eating fruits every day is part of my life. Also, my mum is very particular about food. She cooked every meal for us and she always pay a lot of attention in the food. Her food is amazing and healthy!!! I miss it so much!!
    Besides, eating fruits helps prevent a lot of disease such as blood pressure and cancer. We should all eating a least one fruits every day.

  28. To be honest with you, i am a having unhealthy eating habit, because i eat fruits only once a month. I just like a few kinds of fruits such as strawberry, banana, and pineapple. For the vegetables, i love it very much. I can't without it for every meals. I did learn a lot from this ELL journal, which tell me that how the fruits important for our body. Furthermore, eating fruits and vegetables helps prevent disease such as blood pressure and cancer.

  29. I will eat fruits and vegetables, because I know eating fruits and vegetables are good for my health. Fruits and vegetables have lots of nutritive elements.To keep my body fits , I must absorb well-balanced meals everyday.
    My favorite fruit is mango. I like drinking mango  milk-shakes. Mango is called" the king of Tropical Fruits". It is hard to have mango every week, because Maine is not the place where can plant the mango. But I can eat other fruits everyday.
    I will eat vegetables even I am not really like them. Some vegetables taste badly, such as carrots,onions,paper,mushroom...
    Eating fruits and vegetables are good for the health, I will eat them to help my body healthier.

  31. I like eating almost fruit,because many people told me fruit and vegetale have many benefits。My favourite fruit is banbana not only because it is nutritious but also because it is delicious. Banana, to a person who is living in the south part of China, may be the fruit which can be seen everyday, so it would be always, when bought, fresh. I love to eat banana partly due to an old saying, "one banana a day, keeps doctors away."
    But I don't like eating almost vegetable,because It test doesn't very good.

  32. It's true that fruits and vegetables are good for our bodies. It can keep you healthy and improve you skin, but i don't think all kinds of fruits and vegetables can do this and the things you eat need to be in right amount. Most of children don't like to eat vegetables, it isn't taste good as meat, I also think like common people, but after sometimes, I know that we can get some special protein and fibers we need but which can't get it by eat meat. So, i think again and try to have a balance diet. Fruits are good things to improve skin. Although I eat many fruits everyday,my skin also very bad. I think what I need to change is timetable. I usually stay up too late, that's why sometimes I feel tired and have bad skin. I also eat somethings before I go to bed at night, it's really a bad habit. All I want to do now is become more healthier and try to have a good eating habit. I will eat more fruits and vegetables.

  33. I like eating all the fruits especially the sweet ones.I like the grapes best and bananas or strawberries. And also I like eating most of the vegetables but there are some exceptions. Like I don't enjoy eating celeries and mushrooms. I think there's a bad smelling of those two vegetables. I think vegetables and fruits can help us fight the disease of the body and help our skin grow. The fresh vegetables and fruits are tasty, that's another reason I like them. They are full of vitamins and nutritions that our body needs to have.

  34. I love all fruits! Especially strawberries and mango. Fruits and vegetables are very healthy food. Although they are not tasted good like meat. Fruits and vegetables really can make our healthier. Someone said:" An apple a day, keep a doctor away." The fruits really can help us go away from disease and make our skin looks better.

  35. Actually, I don't eat fruit usually. Because I'm very lazy. I'll eat fruit if I meet them just in time, I think fruit it is not the necessary in my life. But I will drink juice sometimes, It's more sweet than fruit, and you can buy it in every shop, it's very convient. But in summer, I'd like to eat a tropical fruit - mango, but the best mango is made in Hainan, it's so difficult to eat it. I know the fruit can keep our health, it can provide all kinds of nutrition and vitamin to us.But I have never heard the fruit can add more colors for our skin. So I have a question: If a person very likes to eat one fruit which color is black. Does it will add color black to his skin!? Haha~ Sounds funny!

  45. I hate vegetables! I don't like any kind of vegetables , even they are good for health. So I don't like eating vegetables except what my father asks I eat , but I still eat just I little bit .

  49. I like fruit and vegetables. It make me heathy and help me lost weight. My best fruit is litchi. It is a very sweet fruit in China. We only can eat it in summer. My best vegetables is eggplant and tomato.(PS: I HATE HATE HATE carrots SO SO SO MUCH) I know many American people like ketchup but they don't like whole tomato. By the way, I like eating meet very much although it makes me fat. I would like to try every food in the world, such as fried grasshopper and ostrich egg. I always eat some animal's visceral. It is a very normal thing in china but not in American. I know that from my homestay. Most of American people like eating meat, but they never eat visceral. I think that is terrible. American is wasting food and nutrition. For example, I don't like eating carrots, but carrot's Vitamin A is good for my eyes. I'd like to choice pig's or sheep's liver because there are many Vitamin A and Fe in it.

But people can not always eat vegetables and fruits because they should eat some meat dishes, so that is healthy when your eat vegetables and fruits and meat dishes. sometimes it's better to drink a few milk. I think milk is a good food to help your getting more healthy. But you can not mix the fruits and milk together because they will getting the chemical change. One of the vegetable I like to eat is the broccoli, I think it taste good.

  51. I heard about this long time ago. And my mother always teach me that if you drink 8 cups of water, it will be help for your stomach. And in these days I'm trying to lose fat, so I eat lots of fruits to instead of meals. And this really works. And in China, we have some traditional thinking about food, we will keep the balance on food. So, we always care about how to mix up food and eat healthy. I like vegetables, because they really makes us get enough vitamin.

  52. I really eat a vegetables or fruits a lot. I know its really good for us but im not eating eat because its healthy, but because i really like it. I cant imagine food without a tomatoes or lettuce. I always must eat a fruits and vegetables because im a boy young boy and im a playing a lot of sports. I really need to be in a good condition and i can't be a sick. That's the reason why im eating this kind of food

  53. I agree with this statement soooooooo much!!!!!!! My skin was terrible when I was in junior high. I was so upset because whelks was all over my face and I hardly have friends especially male friends. I asked a lot of doctors, nutritionist and they all have the same answer: eat more fruits and vegetables. I don't really like vegetables and fruits when I was little, so I pretty refuse to eat these kind of stuff at the first time. That memory was horrible about eating fruit. After three months, one day I got up and washed my face, suddenly I realized my face was difference. Some whelks are gone and I can see how better my skin was. After that I start eating fruits and vegetables everyday until now and my face never gone worse and I love fruit and vegetables
