Journal Question #4
This is Vincent Van Gogh's "The Mulberry Tree in Autumn." The date of this post is October 17, which is the middle of autumn, or fall. How do you feel about the season? What kinds of activities do you do in the fall that you don't do at other times of year? What do you like most and like least about autumn? I love this season:autumn.
ReplyDeleteSpring has too many insects; summer is so hot and wet; winter needs much more clothes that I think is too heavy. But autumn is suitable for the weather and many other ways, so I like it best.
In autumn, some activities can't be done outside. Because the strong wind or cool weather and some sports have light balls, such as bird.
I prefer the middle of autumn, it's not so closed to summer or winter.
I think there are. For example, the indoor players don't mind the weather of different seasons. And I believe there are people who like all the four seasons, the love of them can make people never mind.

I like the all seasons, but my favorite season is autumn. In China, the autumn means harvest, so the older people always celebrate crops. But I like autumn not just because of the harvest. My father thinks autumn is a sad season. It doesn't like spring, full of vigour. It also doesn't like summer, full of green. In autumn, plants lose leaves and they don't grow in autumn, just they dies. So my father doesn't like autumn. But I don't think so. I think in autumn the plants become different colors, it's a really beautiful scenery. As a sentence which my favorite one: Let life be beautiful like summer flowers, and death like autumn leaves.

In the autumn I often go hiking and traveling with my parents and
my best friends,and I also play some sports in this season , for
example ,basketball ,soccer and table tennis. And I also run in the
morning, because I want to exercise myself. But in the autumn ,
I also have the lovely thing,because I can eat some food and
fruits .these things don't happen in the other seasons.In this season, the plants lose their leaves.I think there must are some
people don't mind now is which season, because they like all
four seasons, like me , I just like the other three seasons more than autumn.
I like fall because it not too hot or too cold, in China, in the autumn, have a festival called "the Mid-Autumn festival", on that day, everyone will have dinner together around the table, very warm, but now we in the United States, so we miss home.

I prefer to do sports in fall.You know that it's hot during the summer.It's not convenient to do sports in winter because we wear a lot of clothes.What's more, it rains a lot during the spring.Thus the fall is a good season for me to keep fit.The sentences of autumn will be taken place soon.But I trust that the fall is the best season.People harvest in the fall. The painting ss a kind of blue. BLUE is Van Gogh's style.That's why I don't like his paintings very much. Whatever,it's a beautiful and valuable painting.

I always watch the maple during autumn,I like to watch maple because it is really beautiful and I enjoy it.
I like winter most,when i see the snow i was always excited and i was jumping,And my favourite sport is basketball and the basketball team start in the beginning of winter.
The fall? I thought we will take about the burning tree this journal!!!
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth, I love winter the most. Then comes the fall. autumn always makes me remind the end of the life. Leaves fall down; the world is not colorful any more and something just happened last fall that I can't forget. But I like the weather in autumn. Not so hot and not so cold. Fall is the best season for people to travel. I like riding in the woods and feeling the leaves fall down on my shoulder; enjoining the cool wind blowing to my face------

aha~What a wonderful season!I pretty love fall.I like to go hiking in this season.In fall,the weather is not like summer such hot,like winter such cold,or like spring rains so much.And the sceneries in this season are very beautiful.In maine,the trees become really colorful.But there are still some defects of fall.In this season, my skin will become really dry.And fall is the season which is the beginning of leaves falling.And it indicates the death of the lives.It is a kind of sad.But in fall, I'm still full of hope.Because the new semester starts.And it is a good harvest season.There is a lot of fruits and vegetables ripen so that I can eat them.In a word,I love fall very much.

ReplyDeletemy favourite season is autumn.i don't like summer it's too hot...i don't like winter very much because in the winter i have to wear too much clothes and my skin will be so dry that feel so bad...but i still like going ski in the winter...
in autumn the leaves are changed to red and yellow some still green that so colorful so beautiful...in the autumn i like taking walk after dinner...a little cold but i like it...
and autumn is also a harvest season...there are lots of fruit and kinds of vegetables ripen that very good.

ReplyDeleteI like the sense when the leaves fall down from the tree just like the painting. Autumn is a good season for all the sports because the weather, it's a cool and dry season, so people feel great for that.In autumn, I always like to go out for sports such as climbing and tennis with my friends in China, so when the season comes, there's a little sense of missing my friends or missing my hometown.
Besides, I like the paintings by Van Gogh, he is a really excellent artist.
I prefer spring than autumn.Because during the autumn,leaves falls down and the weather turns cold.I think the nature loses the energy during the autumn,I like the weather have more vigor like spring.In spring, the weather is warm and humid.Most of the days are rainy. It is suitable for the growth of plants. Many beautiful flowers will appear at that time .

ReplyDeleteAutumn is the most comfortable season, in autumn, leaves will become yellow, and the weather of autumn is so comfortable. Most of the people will go to certain place to watch leaves from trees in fall. in Autumn, we can do anything we want to, and sports and places is suitable for us to do or go.i like autumn more then other three seasons, because i dont like too cold or too hot, so i think autumn is most suitable for me!
ReplyDeleteI like autumn because the weather is suitable.In this year,I did cross country which I have never done it before.It's the most special things in my life.If I running in summer,it's so hot that make me lose lots of fluid.I feel so uncomfortable.I think the fruit is delicious in autumn.I love it.

i don't like autumn. the autumn gives me a feeling that like everything will be gone, and the cold winter will come soon. It makes me feel no energy in my daily life. but the only thing i feel good is the autumn is the harvest season, many many crops will be gain. 7 years ago, my grandma was gone in the autumn, that was a horrible day, the weather was cold, cloudy and dark like the night.So i really do not like the autumn, i like the season like spring and summer there are many energy and power trough the world,
ReplyDeleteAutumn is good. I think autumn is good because i like when the weather is not cold and not hot. In autumn we can do what we want play some sports outside and we can wait on winter. I prefer winter because i like cold weather. For me autumn is very boring. Sometimes in autumn sky not look good and i don't like it. I love when a sky is clear or in winter when a sky is white with snow or something else.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite season and I have a lot of sweet memories during autumns. Autumn is very short, but the world always be very colorful in the limited time. In the field, we can see the lots of yellow.In the school，we can see the faded and fallen leaves. Autumn is colder than summer and warmer than winner, the season makes us feel comfortable.We often play the basketball and running outside because when we finish the exercise we also have the extra energy to do other things.If we excise in summer, we always feel very tired. I miss my hometown when it comes to Autumn, because I have a big Maple tree outside of my house. When there is Autumn, I always pick up the leaves on the grond and made them to a bookmark with my parents.
What is more, I like the color in the Autumn. Everything is in red, yellow and tan. Unlike winter, there are only white and black.
I usually do a lot of drawing in Autumn like my father, also photography, I like to capture the changing of seasons with my camera.
Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons.And autumn has spring rains so much. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter usually in September..I think a lot of people don't like autumn.I also play some sports in this season for soccer, go to the swimming pool,ran every day.My friends like autumn.My best season winter because winter I play hockey and i like a cold, yes i know , i m crazy.

Autumn.. Personally, I don't like this season at all! Autumn is between Summer and Winter, which means Autumn is the end of the summer holiday and 2 months before NewYear. In Autumn the weather is getting colder and colder. I don't like cold weather at all. Especially the weather nearly very cold and warm. I love Summer because i love swimming and biking. I love Winter because i like snowing and shooting the snow ball to my friends. Autumn always makes me feel sad, the tree is getting skinny and skinny. No more leaves on the tree, and no more natural life power. In Autumn i like do some in door activities almost as same as my favorite in door activities in Winter. Such as Sit Up, Push Up and so on. I always want to go to the gym during Autumn. But i dont know why i usually feel tired after school. So i made the decision in the morning i want to go to the gym after school, but when the school is really end i change my mind really frequently. Autumn makes me lazy i think, and makes me sleepy during class time. And Autumn makes me miss my family more! Autumn makes me want to eat snacks or food anytime! That's not healthy, but it's hard to control.

Autumn is my favorite season because the weather in autumn is better.It won't be too hot or too cold,and in my hometown it also won't be too wet.It's the best season to play sports especially outdoor sports like b-ball and soccer.It's awesome.And in China we always have a sport competition,the annual pageant what we expect most.That's what I like in autumn.Well,the thing I like least in autumn is...1st in september...it's time to go school...

ReplyDeleteWhen i was in China, my grandmother likes climbing, and i always went with her. This season was really beautiful at the top of the mountain, everything was colorful. We were picnic, laughing, and talking, it is really fine!

ReplyDeleteI prefer to spend my time in the autumn. I love autumn, because it is a special season. It is neither too hor or cold, therefore, we can play both indoor and outdoor. Furthermore, autumn always make me relax and comfortable. I very enjoy the time that sit in the porch and watching the leaves dorp down very softly and slowly.
What is more, autumn also means that the past is going to be gone, and the new start is coming. Therefore, we should forget the worst in the past and trying to do the best in the future.
I don't like autumn , because when autumn comes , I will go to school . That means my summer vacation is overT_T. And autumn is also a season which means everything is gone, like leaves drop from trees ,animals have to go back their home to prepare for the winter .It doesn't like spring that is full of energy .And it doesn't like winter we can see and play snowball ,snowman......And in autumn , it's easy for us to have a cold . I love autumn. The sky is cloudless. The summer heat is gone. The autumn wind brings us cool. At once the version comes to my mind, "Autumn is rich with fruit and grain. " Actually I see pomegranates red and round on the stall in the market and the pcars big, yellow and juicy. My mouth waters for them. The grains have been harvested, the rice, wheat and corn.
ReplyDeleteThe laurel trees give off fragrance. The perfume makes its way straight into my nose. The bright red canna are standing behind rows of tall plane trees. I am waiting for their leaves to turn yellow.Then l can trample on the fallen leaves on both sides of the ground.

ReplyDeleteThere are four seasons in year and one of them is autumn. In my opinion it is a good season. I think a lot of people people don't like fall because there are a great deal of rains but farmers like this season because if there are many rains they will have a good harvest. I prefer rainy weather because if it rains you can spend more time for homework or something else. The fall is the last chance to get some vitamins from the fresh fruits and vegetables and I think you need to eat several fruits every day to improve your health. I also have another opinion about fall, I think autumn is not good season because the weather turns cold and it is rainy, windy,cloudy and it is the reason to be sick. In fall you can see beautiful and colorful nature. For example all trees lose their leaves except pine trees and these leaves are different color, usually leaves are red, yellow and orange.I like fall here better than in my country because it is much colder than in America. I prefer winter because that is the best time to do a lot of sports and some interesting activities. I like hockey very much and when it's autumn I am so exited to see winter but sometimes it is cold, in Russia it can be thirty degrees below zero. In conclusion I want to say that we need to love autumn because it will be every year.

Actually, when I write this journal question, it is snowing outside,I know winter is coming.But during the autumn, I did lots of things like playing the badminton, riding the bike,running. Autumn is a season that after summer, before winter, so is not so hot and a little cold. I didn't need to wear so much clothes.And autumn is yellow and orange. Why I said that? Every time I went to the dorm, I saw lots of leaves fell down from the tree, I felt a little sad and miss my parents,my friend.... Van Gogh's picture is very good to show the autumn.

Because after autumn is winter. Winter means death and nothing. And autumn is burning the last of life. So I don’t like autumn.
ReplyDeleteBut I can do many things in autumn. Such as climb mountain and pick fruit. Climbing mountain is very interesting. (but I hate climb mountain, because it make me so tried). Picking fruit is more interesting. I feel I am a farmer when I pick apple. I pick and eat at the same time. I was very happy.
I like this season. Although is October in autumn, but it is snowing now, and it shows that winter is coming. Actually, autumn is not my favorite season, but it might have the best weather in whole year. The weather in fall is not too hot or too cold, just make me feel comfortable. At this season, I usually have picnic with my friends or climb mountains with beautiful views of red leaves. The most exciting things is I can meet my classmate after a long summer vacation, loneliness is the most difficult thing I can endure. I really want to have a long autumn with the view of red leaves, because a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

ReplyDeleteAutumn and spring are my favorite seasons because the weathers are not too hot or too cold,everyone feel comfortable.I don't like hot and cold,they make me feel so bad.And in the autumn I can were short and I won't feel cold.I always sleep in winter.And stay in home in summer.In China spring also usually be a little cold,so I also would like to stay in home sleep in spring.So autumn is my favorite season.And I think in the autumn,the red or yellow leaves will fall down the tree and lying on the road,it's beautiful
ReplyDeleteI like Autumn because I think the weather is the best from Winter , Summer and Spring . The weather in Autumn is perfect , it is not cold as Winter and Spring . At the same time , it is not hot likes summer . We can do lots of special activities in Autumn because of its windy weather . I like playing kite with friends at the beach . Sometimes , two kites may collide with each other . You will get lots of fun while running around to prevent the collision of kites . But I do not like Autumn because it indicate the coming of winter .

Also, it is a good weather for me to play sports outside, it won't let me easy to get smelly. I no need to turn on any fan or air conditioner and it is the best weather to have a nap after school.
Actually, I really like autumn, it’s the only one of four seasons which is neither cold nor hot. Honestly, for me, I cannot really understand the deep meaning of this piture, I can only see it’s autumn in this picutre. But, that’s fine, because its painter is Vincent Van Gogh, it’s normal for me that I cannot understand that, and I like this picture!
ReplyDeleteAutumn is a really good season to harvest. I have a few relatives, who are still doing some farmworks, they will invite the whole family to share their happiness when the vegetables get mature. I enjoy that kind felling that all the people sit together to talk about their lives and interesting experiences. The last thing I want to say is that there is no autumn in Maine! So cold! There is only winter!
I don't like fall.It's very cold in this season.I don't play any sports in fall,because it's too cold.I like summer better.Fall is not in my mind,maybe I'll find out some fun for fall!

I often ran with my friends after school, in China, our school held a sportmeeting during autumn every years, it was one of my favorite things in a year, at the beginning of the first term, I couldn't wait to join the competitions, it's a big party for us. At the beginning of autumn, my lip become very dry, I hate that, it's very uncomfortable. I always did some walking with my friend or my brother after dinner, it's the best time during one day. I feel sad from Van Gogh's painting.

In autumn,all the ground get orange,leaves fall down,some of leaves look like a butterfly,even likes a fairy!In autumn,the temperature is moderate,so people can wear some soft clothes,it makes them feel good and looks beautiful,that is fine!
autumn,my mother's favourite season. The sky is clem and cloudless.The summer heat is gone. At once the version comes to my mind,"Autumn is rich with fruit and grain." But autumn in TA is so cold. It start to snowing !!!!!......and i haven't buy my winter coat
ReplyDeleteThe first season is spring. The three months in it are March, April and May. During that time we have warm weather and fine days. All plants come to life. Animals wake up from hibernation. It is time for farmers to get ready for their fields.
ReplyDeleteThe second season is summer. The three months are June, July and August. The weather is very hot and it often rains. People can go swimming and sightseeing. It is time for all things to grow up.
The third season is autumn. The three months are September, October and November. The weather becomes cooler and cooler. Leaves begin to fall to the ground. It is the harvest time for farmers.
The fourth season is winter. December, January and February are the three months of that season. The weather is very cold, and most of the plants die at that time. Sometimes it snows. People can enjoy skating and skiing. But winter doesn' t stay with us for a long time, for spring comes again soon.
