Journal Question #34 (2010-2011)
It's a good time to talk about movies because summer is coming and lots of movies arrive in summertime. So, tell me about your favorite movies, or favorite kind of movies. Do you prefer action, romance, drama, sci-fi...? What have been your best movie experiences? If you want, you can recommend a movie that is out in the theaters now.

I am an cinema fan. When i went to Spain during Christmas vacations i went to the movies provably 3 times because it was raining so much. I love to go to the movies and eat popcorn with a large coke with ice. I think i wouldn't like the cinema that much if the didn't have popcorn. Here in the US I have a lot of free time and i watch a lot of movies. My favorite movie ever is American Gangster. I hardly recommend everyone to watch this movie. It is an action movie bassed in a real story. I like it so much. In the other hand if you prefer a comedy i would recommend you to watch Hangover. I laughed so much watching it, i enjoined it a lot. Hangover 2 is coming soon to the theater i really want to watch it. but if you prefer romance movies you should watch Water for Elephants. i watched it with carlota this sunday and i like it a lot. It's a little sad but i enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI love movies!! I went to movies at least once a week when I was in China. When I came here, I feel like I can’t understand the movies sometime. So I don’t go to movies that often now.Lots of movies arrive in the summertime. I might go to watch some of them.

lots of good movie experiences, but they are Chinese movies.
Something Borrowed is coming. I really wanna watch that. I think it is a romance movie and I think it will be great. Also, I wanna watch Water for Elephants, which is a drama, although I heard it is a little sad.
I hope there are more movies coming when I go back to China. Then I can enjoy it with my mommy or my friends. And hope everybody enjoy the movies this summer time and share the feelings with me.

I love watching movies ,because when I am watching movies I always feel very happy and makes me forget sad ! My favourite movie is old an American movie name is "independent day" the movie is about American people and people from all around the world fight against aliens the aliens attack the world and the American government appeal people from all around the world to fight against aliens at last they won"so you now you know my favourite kind of movies is science-fiction!

I tell u, I love action,funny,some romance...when I talking about action, I'll think of the one, he is the most famous action actor of the world. guess who? the answer is Bruce Lee. I love him very very much,and he is the pride of Chinese people. when I watching his movies, one thing I always do, is I will learn the way he fight, learn some his move.I love action movies because I can learn so much things in it. and the other one of my favorite is about car race, thats make me feel excited , I love cars, car is the one of the most beautiful thing in the world! Gorgeous!!!!!! And one kind of movies I do not really like, is horror movie, it's horrible,I'm so scared for watching that kind of movies.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion movie is a good thing to watch, because moving can always give me fun. I love comedy movie because a lot of comedy moving have a good ending. So it is a enjoyment for me because sometimes I'm in a high pressure and I need something to relax my self. So I decide to watch a movie to have some enjoyment, and a good movie can low my pressure.
ReplyDeleteAlso some movies came from some good story I can compare the original story and the movie version and I can have a another feeling about that famous story. Again a movie is a great entertainment!
I love to watch movies too. It can make you feel relax and i also learn many stuff in the movies. I go to the "Cinemagic" 1-2 times a month. My favorite kind of movies is Animation. Such as Mars Needs Mom, Rango and Megamind. They are all very good. I know that the new pirates of the Caribbean is coming out on this Friday. I think i will go and watch that movie too because it's suppose to be very good. I had better buy my ticket before Friday or they won't have a set for me. I hear that transformers 3 and kung fu panda is coming out soon. They all sound good and i can't wait for them to come out.
ReplyDeleteI love movies that i believe everybody knows it,cause my name will always show up on the movie trip no matter what.. i could spend my time to watch movie all day if i am free. I prefer action and scary movie, like SAW or Harry porter,... i have seen to many movies that i can't even to pick up my favorite right now.. but movie is part of my life which i can't live with out..
ReplyDeleteI like movies. Movie is a good thing to watch, when you are bored. Mostly like resident student. Because we get bored all the time and we watch movie on our lab top. I like to stay at my room and go on internet to watch the free movie. I don't really care about what type it is. I think The price for the movie in the cinema is to expensive, and it is not as comfortable at home. I can do whatever i want to the movie, but at the cinema i cant
ReplyDeleteI like to watch movies so much that I went to see movies when I went back in China for my ten days vacation. I always go to the movies with my friends and my family since I think that is something really good for communicating.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite kind of movie. I like good movies. I think I prefer comedy movies some how. I have all kinds of good movies in my mind. If people want to be moved I would recommand Lump Suger. I was so moved that I cried and laughed all the time. Also Scent of a Woman is also good movie to get people moved. There is a song that I like a lot. It plays when the blind soldier is dancing with the girl the student likes. If you want to watch something which will make you think a lot I would say The Shawshank Redemption could be a good choice. There are all kinds of comedies that I like. I like cartoons a lot! Especially, the ones that Miyazaki Hayao made. He is so good at it. That every single cartoon that he made is so good!
I love to go to the movies, and I love all the kinds of movies. I dont care if it is an action or a drama movie.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy th romance movies, but I went to watch some action movies, like for exmple Fast Five, such an amazing movie, I love it.
Also I woulf like to say, that everybody should go to watch Water for Elephants, because its such a great and cute movie.
In Spain I love to go to the movies on Sundays with my family, especially with my sister.
Also I love to watch kids movies, like cartoon and this stuffs, for example Toy Story 3, its so awesome.I love all the movies!!!!
I love different kinds of movie such as romance and terrified movie. And one of my favorite movies is The Day After Tomorrow. It's so real that let me felt that the end of the world was coming. Even the night after the movie, I dreamt about it and it really scared me.

Watching movie is the most important part in my life(except having ELL3 class), I love Stallone, Jet Li and Arnold Schwarzenegger. My favorite movies are THE FIRST BLOOD, Lord of the Rings, Shawshank Redemption.
ReplyDeleteI always interested in how to make films. The director separates the film in two or three parts, so that it become a stunt. The superstar says the actor's lines and then they forgets, that's so funny. I love American movie, there's lots of 3D stunt in the movie. Every time there is a magnificent scene.
Love movie forever!
I still remember last time when I watched "black swan", I felt like I would never watch this kind of movie again. It was suck !! (personal opinion)
ReplyDeleteI insist on watching one movie every week. It will be romantic movie at most of situations. Once there is an happy ending, I will have a sense of happiness form my heart. It makes me think of this world warmly and perfectly.
I hate scary thriller! I will have nightmares for a long time once I watch the thriller. It happens every single time! I can always think much more than what the movie talks about. I feel like some scary things just happen around me.
Maybe it have some relationship with my personality. Anyway, I will refuse watching thrillers all the time in my life!
Unfortunately, I didn't watch movies these days. So I can't recommend any movie I like.
I like watching movies ! I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean4 this Friday, but actually the movie is not that good.I think it's kind of boring.And we sat at the second line,the screen is IMAX,so my neck hurt so bad.BUT!! Johnny Depp is so handsome.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the action movies or magic movies,like Harry Potter and so on.I missed the last Harry Potter,because I was still in China and I had a lot of school work to do.So, I am looking forward to the new one this summer!
In fact, I really hate horror movies!! I don't want to watch them any more!! I still have Black Swam in my computer but I never watch it.I remember one night I watched the horror movie called "Rec", I can't fall asleep till 3 in the morning!

ReplyDeleteI love action movies like 007 and magical movies like Happy Potter.I think in my life, Harry Potter series have become a very important role in my life,I still remember how I felt when I watch first Happy Potter movie. As for the actor or actress, I like Johnny Depp, he is an excellent actor, he play his character so vivid that you will never forget. As for actress,I like Dakota Fanning, she is only 16, but she is already a perfect actress.Her movie "The Secret Life of Bees" impressed me so hard.
There are a lot of good movie,I recommend "Forrest Gump" it is great movie and it is very educational and encourage to chase our dream.
movie, is like a book to me, I like reading books, fiction, horror, comic, these are all my favorite, so as all these kids of movies!

I love to watch movie. When I was in Vietnam, I usually went to the movie theater once per week. My favorite kind of movie is romance. Once of the movie that I always recommend my friends to watch is The Notebook. It's romance movie for everyone who believes in forever love. It's best movie ever for me. I watched it almost 10 times.

My favorite movie is the movie named , the movie mainly describe a plot about a person who invented a time machine and can travelling through different period of time. I love this movie because I gained many valuable things from it, not only some basic physical knowledge but also many emotional feelings.

I haven’t watched lots of movies yet. My parents don’t support me to go to the movie theater when I was young. Also, I don’t like watch movies with lots of people. After I grow up, I watched some movies on my computer. I enjoy watching movies at home and relax. At first I liked the movies that really touch me. They make me learn something or moved by something. They kind of change my mind or give me new ideas about life. Especially tragic movies such as the legend of 1900, scent of a woman, they are my favorite. My last favorite was comic. I felt they are flighty and boring. So I hate funny movies. But my new idol vic chow’s movie changed my mind. I watched one of his movies, is it very funny. But it made my cry. And also, it change my opinion about love. I thought if you want to find the true love, you should be very serious when you make a boyfriend or a girl friend. And we should make boy friends or girlfriends as less as possible. And we should think about: is that person really appropriate to get married with? Then spend a long time with each other and do everything very carefully. But now I don’t think so. The movie talks about if love has a time limit, it may easier for us to find a true love. For example, before date, we make a time limit as 3 months. In a short period of time, we have no goal about future. So we can put 100% love in it. After 3 month break out with each other. If both of you still cannot forget each other after a year, then just get married. He/she is your true love. If one of you already has a new lover, don’t feel sorry to yourself or your previous lover. That only prove you don’t really love each other. I think it is a good way.

ReplyDeleteI love watching movies as the other movies fan. I like some movies such tell me a lot of truths. Some of the movie have it own value can let us learn a lot of thing. But now there are a lot of movies tell bullshit to us. Actually i there is one of the movie company i hate so much. The universe studio, they are too commercial to make movie. Movie is a kind of art, we can't crate a movie without our emotion. I don't refuse to watch commercial movies. The Pirates of the Caribbean i just watched last weekend it was awesome. The history about this story of is truly happened during initial U.S. The main character captain Jake is witty, smart and brave and what experience of his live.
I like movies. Especially i like action movies. My favorite action movie is “Mission Impossible” and my favorite actor is Tom Cruse. He is handsome and his show skill is amazing! Action movie always gives me a lot of feelings. I like the movies is a little bit hard to understand, because if this movie is so easy to understand
ReplyDeletei think it's boring. Actually i like "The Pirates of the Caribbean" too but i love first three movies. This new one is too easy to understand and the 3D effects is not that well. Makes me feel sick and feel uncomfortable. When i am in China i used to watching movie every weeks. I really enjoyed in watching movies and very very comfortable. I watch movie just want to make fun,and sometimes the situation in the movie might influence my situation.
