Time never stops. The New Year - 2011 - is only a couple of weeks away. We all say, "Happy New Year." But at the same time, many people wish time didn't move so fast! What happened to 2010? What about you: does time move too fast, too slowly, or at just the right speed? Are you happy that 2010 is ending and 2011 is on the way? Here's hoping 2011 is good year for the world. Journal Question #16 (2010-2011)
Time never stops. The New Year - 2011 - is only a couple of weeks away. We all say, "Happy New Year." But at the same time, many people wish time didn't move so fast! What happened to 2010? What about you: does time move too fast, too slowly, or at just the right speed? Are you happy that 2010 is ending and 2011 is on the way? Here's hoping 2011 is good year for the world. I think time flies so quickly. I feel like 2010 just like yesterday.2010 is unusual, everything is perfect in 2010,and I came to the US to carry on my education.But still there were many sad events brought about in 2010, like our home town. Many disasters happened in 2010,many people were suffering from them.

Happy new year to everyone!! One of biggest things happened was I came to America to study. I think this year move so fast because I just make this decision a year ago and I'm here now. Everything for me just move so fast. I even have no time to review what I have done and what I have missed this year.
ReplyDeleteI just remembered one of my friend asked me what did you miss this year. And my answer was the time stay with you guys. Now i am a junior while all of my best friends are senior. I missed a lot of good memories with them. I cannot graduate with them. The graduated picture will not have someone whose name is Rie there. And I will not have the feeling about how tired they are now.
However,I think I'm a lucky girl and I'm really happy for what I have now. I can do whatever I want. I can go abroad for my dream just because I want to. I make a lot of new friends here and they all so nice to me. The only thing I want to say here is" Thank you"
i think the time just moving the right speed.nothing really happen in my 2010.i guess the only thing it happen is i m 1 year older than 2009.that mean i m 15 and i m have more job to do , and i have to be more mature.and 2011 i m gonna turn 16 even more job to do.2010 it s not bad.so 2011 it s a new year and it mean a new start.i hope i can to better and better.happy new year everyone

ReplyDeleteI think this year is so fast, I still imaging yesterday was January of 2010! I think a lot of things happen in the last year. For example shanghai was held the world expo, this was the first time china held an World Expo. Also this year we could see FIFA world cup again, and I was happy to see Spain got the No.1, because of this is the first time, they go world champion.
Also I have some wish about next year, I wish I can doing well in my all subject. I wish I can lose weights. But the biggest wish of 2011 is I can get into regular History Class, regular Foreign Language class and Regular English class
2010, I made a big decision. I decided to study in U.S, which maybe can change my life.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little child, how I wish I could be a 16 years old girl. From where I stand, 16 years old is one of the most beautiful time in our life. We have energy and pretty face. We still have parents who can take care of us. We don't need to worry about social relationship too much.
But I don't think I have changed too much since I came to middle school. I still love dreaming and escaping talk about future. But I insist that I will improve in the next year.
I wish time can stop right now. I don't want to face the toefl test and SAT! That make me scary.
Anyway, I still want to say " HAPPY NEW YEAR". I will stay in the New York to welcome the new year.

Well, I really think time moved too fast for me. I feel like that I really haven't done anything yet, which is just terrible. The whole year is almost going to past by, and I am not making any progress or trying anything new. It really makes me anxious. I really don't want to let my whole life go by that way. Generally speaking, I really had some fun at these days. My homestay gave me a lot of Christmas gifts this Saturday. Although they told me that before that I am still moved. They got me a lot of stuffs like boots, PJs, socks, paintings, photos, and so on. And the one that I like best is the family picture that we took on the beach. It is such a pretty picture! And before that I had my first Christmas party with Guy's side family. My first swap gift was a lot of chocolate. We celebrate grandpa's and Stephen's birthday together. And I went to TJ and Olivia's wedding. It looks like I've done plenty things together with my homestay. Which is very good. Personally, I don't like the end of the years, it always makes me that I lost my time and didn't do anything. Feelings like that is just so horrible that scares me.

ReplyDeleteThis year, 2010 passed very fast. For me was a good year, but even when it is over... time flies when you are having fun.
I think this new year will be better. I hope that the the world´s economy will improve and people have more health, money and love.
I have a lot of hopes for this new year.
I really want to enjoy this new year, that I am going to spend in United States.
I can´t believe that 2010 it´s over....

ReplyDelete2010 its a special year for me, may be its not only for me, but also for all of the students that who made the decision to come here and live in here. 2010 could be the first year that we left our parents and live by ourselves. This always not been easy,and it won't be easy for a bunch of kids that only 16,17 years old, or even 14,15. Some of us cried because the homesick, some of us choose only stay in their room because there is too many culture shocks out there. It was really hard time for most of us. But we stepped up,because we realized we need to face the things that we has to deal with. we need to stop crying and start to responds the decision that we made by ourselves. We went out to make friends, to join in sports teams, to join in school band, even the school speech team. I truly believe the hole school has changed because of us.
All of these happened in 2010 and will continue , something happy something sad. But this year will always be special for me, and i will never forget..
Happy rabbit year! Everybody.. body.. body. Well, I really think time moves too fast, like typhoon. Everyday I need to worried about the distance between students who study in China and me. I know how hard they work and how much time they spend in study, and the competition in china is more intense. I felt very relax in 2010, the knowledge is easy to understand and I was attract by lots of sports. This let me know more about American culture but makes me lost my target. Powerless and addiction filled in my life. I really need a heart-search. I set goals for 2011, and I'm sure I can arrive at my destination.
ReplyDeleteI watched the fireworks at the free pot with my host father. The fireworks was really nice and people were enthusiastic but I felt lonely. I missed the atmosphere and the relatives. The fireworks just go on 4 minutes and then left the infinite melancholy to me.

Now it's 2011.I've been here for 4 months. It's not a short time and I really like my friends,my teachers, the school and the dorm.2010 is my great year ever. I went to the United states to study and I got a lot of experience.

My 2010 is not bad,but it still have many things not good.
Like study, I didn't get enough good in the class, and sport, I didn't get enough good too.I didn't get a good girlfriend.
But everything was past. Now, I have a plan for this year, I hope many things can change, they're not enough, and my life will be better.

ReplyDelete2010 was a great year for me. i tried many different stuff in that year and i had a lot of fun. One of the biggest change of this year is that i tried home stay, and it's my first year to spend Christmas time with American family. We picked up a Christmas tree together in a cold day and we decided it on the same day. The tree was not very big but looks good. We also had a hard time to carry it into our house. Santa didn't give me any present this year and i don't think I'm in the naughty list. But i got many presents for my home stay and i love them.
The time moves a little too fast in 2010 because i had a great time in that year. I hope i can have a better time in 2011.

ReplyDelete2010 was an excellent year for me. I learned a lot of stuffs at this years. I made a lot of friends at this year. But i really disappoint for this year, because i still have a lot of Target i can't get it. Humans‘ inertia happens form my life for this year. 2011 has already come, and this year will be really necessary for us. We have to take a lot of tests for collage. So we won't have time to think about others stuffs.

I was very sad to step to 2011, time is too fast to me, i was really enjoy my time in 2010, i cant believe its already 2011, i havent done lots of stuff in 2010, i really wanna go back, but time has changed, we need to step on, goodbye 2010, hope 2011 wont be too bad.

I like new year i can get so many gifts! The new year time is my happiest time in my life. I always go drink some beer. And stay with my cousin and my friends we sing songs.. ReplyDeleteIn January, I went to Philadelphia for High school, and had a such bad time. The Catholic school was soooo strict, and teachers are a kind of weird.
Then, I move to Maine to go to school in TA. I like the life here, it makes me really happy. And I make lots of friends. Teachers are nice and always can help me when I have problems.
This is the first year that I did everything without my parents. The time moves so fast this year. I hope 2011 will be better. And I will work harder. Hope everything is going well.

ReplyDeleteI think time travels so fast. Sometimes I still feel like I just step on the America's ground, But the truth is I've been here for about one and a half year. Can u image that, 2010 just passed by but I even didn't feel it.
Last year was pretty good I think. I got the pretty grade, became the prefect of the dorm, and have a girlfriend. Beside these, there are also many good things came in to my life. It's probably the best year in my life. Good things always passed so fast. It's in 2011. I hope time moves slow and slow because I need to study for my TOEFL and SAT test which must be cost my a lot of time. I need work harder than 2010 and I don't feel like I still have enough time.

or me time has different speeds. When I'm doing something interesting and something that im enjoying time goes by so fast. FOR EXAMPLE DURING ELL CLASS, here time flies away. When Im doing something boring, something that i don't really want to do, times goes by so slowly.
ReplyDelete2010 had gone by so fast that I didn't have time to enjoy it as much as i would have liked. even though i'm happy that 2011 has started, i would have liked to have had more fun last year. however i think i took advantage of it.
