As I write this, a blizzard howls outside, and the snow is coming down heavy and fast. What's you opinion of snow? Do you look forward to skiing in, sledding on, or walking through it? Do you think it's beautiful? Or do you wish it would just go away? Explain your preference, either way.
Personally I have always loved the winter season, I also do not dislike the idea of a snowstorm, since in the end you can take a day off. I think one of the things I like the most is that I can go skiing after the storm and there won't be any problems. Walking through the snow can be a bit annoying at times, but the views are so nice that they are worth it.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was home I remembered the snow like a cold and happy day’s skiing having fun, in a different ambient that the one I’m used to, and that’s like me, every tow years I’m waiting to my snow trip. Now that I’m living whit this cold weather and snow, I’m still loving the snow days, but I feel that the cold weather, taking out that you can go skiing, (my favorite part), you can’t do anything more, just being inside and I don’t like the idea of being in a close area all day. In conclusion I prefer living in a hot weather place and see the snow like something that amazed me once a year or every time I see it than live whit snow and get bored

ReplyDeletein my opinion, I really like when it snows because it doesn’t normally snow in Madrid. But what I like is to have snow for a week or so, and what I realized in here is that I don’t like when I have to be more than two weeks with snow because I start wanting the snow to go away. And also I didn’t like the blizzard because I could barely see anything and it was freezing. But I love skiing. So I like the snow but I don’t like it when there is too much for too much time.

ReplyDeleteI love snow, I’ve seen snow since I was little because my parents have taken me since I was a little child, being here at ta I have experienced more snow, and a blizzard too, it’s amazing to go skiing all weekend’s with friends and get to know more about techniques and everything. When it snows I like to go outside to watch the snow go down or to play in the snow with friends and more activities they do to us in those days, some days is boring because they make us enter the dorm early because it’s too cold or because of the snow, so we don’t get a lot of time with everyone

ReplyDeleteI like snow but I don’t like everything that comes with the snow. Since I’m a kid I used to ski and I used to go to my second house in Piemonte(mountain) for skiing on the weekend. This is the side that I like of the snow, But snow has a bad Side. As I already told you in another journal, I don't like the winther. I don’t like the winter because the days are short and outside is cold and with the winter comes the snow. I like the snow but only for the first period after I only wish for the hot weather to come back. In Italy every winter season we have snow so I’m not excited like other dormustudent that are seeing the snow for the first time.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion snow is something amazing, like a blizzard is too much so I don’t like them but only snow is wonderful. Everything is white and the sky is blue, just awesome. Skiing is so cool, in my opinion it is the best thing you can do when there is snow. I actually prefer summer,
because in summer it is warm. I mean I love the snow, but it is too cold for me. When it is snowing and the sky is gray, it isn’t pretty and just annoying. The best feeling is when there is a lot of snow and the sun comes out and shines into your face, like this you have kind of summer
with snow. The only thing that bothers is the cold. I am already looking forward to the summer!

ReplyDeleteIt is a very nice time of the year since there is a lot of snow, it is something new for me since in Mexico it is not very common to see snow so often, the only bad thing is that it is very cold and sometimes I feel lazy to go out because of the cold, but on the other hand I like it because I can go skiing every weekend, which is a new sport that I am practicing.

ReplyDeleteIt depends on whether I can stay in my room when it snows. If I can stay in a warm room, there is no doubt that I like snowy days very much. The vast expanse of white, how poetic and aesthetic, right. But if I need to walk in snow, then I hate snow. Because it will be cold and wet my clothes and shoes.

ReplyDeleteI don’t like snow, I enjoy it for an hour and the rest of the winter it’s a burden. 30 January 2022, I went snow tubing. It was very fun. I also laid back on snow, it was much more comfortable than the sofa. Sadly, it was cold. I hope it goes away as soon as possible because every time I wake up I don’t want to get off of bed since it’s too cold.

ReplyDeleteI like the snow a lot because I think when there is snow you don’t feel that cold. I love to ski, I thing is my new favorite hobby I enjoy it a lot. I think when there is a lot of new fresh snow it looks beautiful and very different from “normal”. But at the same time sometimes when the snow starts to melt it looks dirty in Al the streets, that’s when I don’t like it.

But the thing I hate about the snow is we can’t go outside in the snow storm because they tell us we need to stay in the dorm, when everything is like melting and the snow is black, when you fall because it’s slippery. I like it but I would not like to live all my life in snow weather.

It took the opportunity to get into my eyes, my mouth, my clothes, and when I realized it, I reached out to grab its nimble little figure, it burgled again. Snow is happy. Snow lives in this ordinary world, falling from the sky, but never lonely, enjoying the happiness brought to me. I can have snowball fights, make snowmen, write, draw pictures, it's fun! Snow for me is something I will always like, because my parents showed it to me since I was really little, so it makes me feel really good and it reminds me of my family and all of the moments I have spent with my family that include snow.

ReplyDeleteI like snow but I also hate it, because snow is beautiful and if it snows the temperature will get cold and also will get slippery (ice). In China, where I live, it doesn't snow no matter whether it's spring, summer, altume, or winter. It's almost the same temperature. Whole year it’s about 20~39c when it summer it very very hot you don’t want to go outside even you go, it also in side like mall that kind of buildings. Every Christmas my mom will take me to another place to play in the snow. It is very fun even though there’s only a 2 week holiday. It is very fun. It is a new year holiday.( January 27 to February 10 something like that.) I like to build a snowman but I haven't done it before. Guangdong (one of the provinces of China) I haven’t seen snow. If it snows I will be very happy.

ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful time of year because there's a lot of snow, which is unusual for me because there's none in Merida, and it's fantastic to go skiing every weekend with friends. When it snows, I enjoy going out to see the snow or participating in activities with my friends, but when there is a storm, we are unable to go out as much.

ReplyDeleteI’ve never seen big snow days, snow storms or heavy ice rains. Croatia rarely has any snow every time it snows it is just a little portion, almost none the last time I saw a normal portion of snow was in the early 2010s. When I first came here everybody was talking about big snow this and that I didn’t believe them at all, but now I see it. When it first started snowing not going to lie, I was so excited, I love to walk on snow when it makes that squeaky sound. I’ve never actually made a snowman or make those little snow balls and threw them at my friends. I liked it the first few weeks but then it started to annoy me badly. It started falling in my shoes and my sock were wet just as in basketball practice, then it was so cold the snow froze and then that was it for me and snow. I hate it so much now, when I have to go somewhere, for example grocery shopping, to get a haircut. The sidewalks are always frozen and it can be really dangerous. I can slide right on the street and a car can hit me or something or I can embarrass myself by falling, which is not bad as the first thing.

However, I hate snow when they are in the condition that is between snow water and slush. In that condition, when I step on them I feel odd and my shoes or my pants become dirty.
I used to really like snow, but now I won’t say it’s my favorite.

After it snows, it blocks the road, and if it melts, it turns to ice. And this is even more dangerous. 1836 people die every year due to icy pavement. There are 156,164 car crashes, and over 1,300 people die annually because of car crashes due to icy roads. One day I was on the ride that goes from New York to Boston, and we had a huge blizzard on the way and that blizzard almost killed all of us. So we had to stop in the middle of the way and get back to the road the next day. I think this might have given me a sort of trauma with the blizzard.

ReplyDeletePersonally I really like snow and cold weather. It is just very hard to not like snow when you are Polish because in Poland there is a lot of snow and everyone enjoys it. When there is a lot of snow you can do a lot of different things, like: skiing, sledding, snowball fighting or you can even build amazing sculptures! Despite the fact that I really like snow days, it doesn’t mean I don’t like the sun either, because the best weather for me is a sunny day with a lot of snow. You can never be bored when there is over half a meter of snow there are just too many things you can do!

My personal opinion is that I like the winter. It doesn't snow that much in Korea, but I still love skiing. I was a pro skier, and I like all the sports I do on the snow, so I like snow a lot and it's a season when it's cold but I always wait for the winter. When I see view of snow on the tree, It really makes me comfortable and chill.

ReplyDeleteI like snow very much. I was born in northern China, where it often snows in winter. I think snow is pure and beautiful. My hobby is skiing. I have been skiing for 4 years. Because it snows a lot in Maine, that's one of the reasons why I chose to come to TA. If I have a chance in the future, I will go to the 10 best ski resorts in the world, especially Switzerland, it is really beautiful. I even imagined that as soon as I left the house in the morning, I would be able to put on my skis and go skiing on the slopes. I love snow, it's like a part of my life.

ReplyDeleteI am really hoping that the snow will just go away and have face a warm climate, because it’s freezing outside and the road is covered by the ice. A lot of people fall because of this. It’s very dangerous. And also because the snow is very heavy and fast, the basketball court outside and the tennis court are all shut down. Because it is very cold, everybody wants to hide in their bed, so that people become lazy and lose their passion for school. And I am very much looking forward to wearing shorts and running under the sun at the tennis court. So that’s why I hope that the snow will go away.

ReplyDeleteI personally love snow, I think is really fun, a part from being cool it’s also relaxing, when it snows there is a silence outside really relaxing, so if you put warm clothes on and lay on the snow it’s like you are on the clouds. It also sucks because you can freeze to death, I had a friend that has a little bit of hypothermia and she didn’t realize until she got back inside. It can be really fun because I love ice skating and tubing, I don’t know how to ski tho. Anyways I prefer being cold so generally I like snow.

When I saw the snow for the first time, I was amazed by the view and I felt like I’m on a movie. The texture of the snow is so soft but icy at the same time, I can’t stop to squeeze it but my hands are freezing. The sport that I really want to try is skiing but I haven’t got a chance yet.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was living in Korea, I loved snow because it wasn’t a general phenomenon. Therefore, I wish for more snow to come down. When the snow comes, I always go outside and play with my friends, such as build a snowman or snow duck; however, after I came to Maine, my opinion of snow has changed. I am a dorm student so I have to go to the cafeteria every night to check in and it's too tiresome especially on a snowy day. Although the school is closed due to the snow, dorm students have to go to the cafeteria so I need to push myself through the heavy and strong snow. It's really stressful. Therefore I wish for no more snow to fall.
