Compassion is empathy. Individuals see the experiences of others because they think of what emotions they will have under similar experiences, so as to feel the experiences of others, so as to achieve similar emotions with others. Specifically, we can achieve emotional identity with others in imagination. Will feel sadness and happiness with others' sadness and joy. Hume also pointed out that sympathy is an important element of man's unique human nature. Once my brother dropped my favorite jewelry and touched my things without my consent, but he was still very young and didn't understand many things. I told him that it was wrong to do so. If you want to take other people's things, you should first get other people's consent instead of directly taking them. I think this is also the sympathy for those who make mistakes, Compassion is also a kind of wisdom. We can sympathize with people who make mistakes, but at the same time, we should also help them correct, or remind them to help before making mistakes. If we sympathize wisely, we will win the praise of others. We can't think that as long as it is sympathy, it is good, regardless of right and wrong, and promote unhealthy tendencies. Therefore, compassion also needs wisdom.
ReplyDeleteTo me compassion is to have sympathy with all of the people because you never know what is happening to the other person, I show compassion by treat well to others. I practice compassion with little things but they make a difference for example a smile a eye contact
ReplyDeleteCompassion for me is something that any human should have, it is a very appreciated quality since not everyone has it, it is knowing how to forgive and not hold a grudge
ReplyDeleteCompassion to me is a instinct, I might not show it, it in my heart. I don’t let this emotion controls my thought, but when I heard a miserable person,I still will sigh for him.It doesn’t matter status gap, I think compassion make that.
ReplyDeleteI think that compassion is what this world needs as of this moment, if every person in the world used compassion on their everyday life, the world could change dramatically from one day to another day, and life would even be better for every human.
ReplyDeleteIs
ReplyDeleteEveryone has compassion and sometimes necessary. If someone did something wrong for the first time, we should tell the other person right or wrong so that he or she doesn't do it again. If everyone has compassion, the world will gett better. For example, if a person does something wrong, we need to understand that person, considerate and forgive him. If we completely do that, the quality of life will get better.
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion is something you need to be a good person because for example if someone is having a bad day and you have compassion you can be empathetic and help them with their problems by being there with them or giving them advice, you can show compassion verbally or physically.
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion is being empathic with all people because you do not know if they are having a good time or are in a bad moment, for example, greet the person
ReplyDeleteCompassion for me is a skill that everyone should have, is a skill that the world needs to be better, it's 2021 and everyone just thinks about themselves, compassion is understanding people's feelings and feeling the pain they are feeling, compassion also means kindness, practice random acts of kindness, and wait for nothing back.
ReplyDeleteIf everyone in the has a compassion in their daily lives, the world can change from day to day, and life will be better for all humans. I'm really grateful just for being sympathetic to me, being able to understand, be considerate, and forgive that person who make me mad or sad. If everyone is sympathetic, the world will really get better and better, and the person himself will change for the better. However, I hope everyone becomes one as soon as possible because I know I can't.
ReplyDeleteSympathy, kindness, being helpful, wishing you don’t see the other suffering that’s compassion. For me the compassion is a value very important in all the people because anyone want to see someone hurt or suffering an having compassion you help that people to not be suffering like encouraging others to don’t be bad by a situation, helping in someway the problems.
ReplyDeleteI have a cousin that her mom died when she was a kid so my family and I helped with some stuff because obviously we don’t like it being sad, so we like inviting her to help her forget the bad situation, trying to make him feel like home, we have compassion in the situation she and her family was trough. I think everyone should have compassion for other people's stuff and having empathy for problems is a very challenging and important value.
Compassion is a noun which means that sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. It's kinda like sympathy, to think from other people's situation, or giving emotions from other people's perspective. Compassion is kindness, to care other people.
ReplyDeleteFor example, one day, when i am writing my homework at my home, i saw a little child is fell down, and he is crying, but nobody help him and nobody cares about him, I went downstairs very quick and helped him to clean the wound for him, finally he can walk again! I think that is the moment i showed my compassion.

ReplyDeleteI think the biggest threat to the earth is the pollution brought by human beings and the break of the biological chain caused by hunters. Many animals die because they have no food. The ozone layer of the earth is polluted by people's excessive release of carbon dioxide and other gases, resulting in the rupture of the ozone layer. Ultraviolet rays are getting bigger and bigger on the earth. People can only protect the environment as much as possible, We must replace the vehicles that need refueling with pure electric vehicles and do a good job in garbage classification, so that it is convenient for everyone to decompose these garbage, rather than let them float at sea and pollute the marine environment. I think as long as we protect the environment and the earth, we don't need to live on other planets at all. Of course, we don't rule out this possibility, but we still hope you can protect our earth home
How does this relate to compassion, Eric? TG
DeleteFor me compassion is treat every one like you wanna be treated , and make every one feel good in less words be a good person , i show compassion helping every one on the dorms and being a good person with every single person on this school , a good example is when you see someone that needs help for what ever you go help ,
ReplyDeleteCompassion for me is understanding the other people who is in the bad situations. At now, we are in padamic, so we need to understand and consider each people. Everybody is in bad situation, thus we have to wear the mask in public to consider the others

ReplyDeleteCompassion means showing sympathy and caring for the suffering or misfortune of others. Compassion is a very important value for me, because I don’t want to see someone hurt or suffer, but I am indifferent. I hope this Everyone in the world will go back and care about others, the world will be better
Compassion means empathy and showing caring for others. Me personally think it means how much humanity or friendship you have in you. Compassion isn’t something you have to think before do but rather an instinct. Helping out others when they needed is a way of showing compassion such as if someone got their heartbroken, we should go console them and make them avoid any suicide
ReplyDeleteWorld like today,
ReplyDeletecompassion is more important. Since covid happened most people are having a hard time. That’s why helping each other is especially important at this moment.
There are lots of ways to show compassion. Keeping the door open for others or
when you see someone drop something and picking it up for them could be compassion.
For me compassion is showing that you care about the people that are around you, not only in your house, but everywhere around you, it also shows that you are someone who seeks for the improvement of the people in these World.
ReplyDeleteI show compassion when I talk to some that is really sad or depressed so I can help them with their problems
Compassion is the ability not only to feel another person's pain, but also to help either to get rid of it or to reduce it. At the heart of this feeling, in my view, is love for all living things, because without it compassion cannot be sincere.
ReplyDeleteThus, it was the love for people of the famous Mother Teresa that throughout her long life was the basis for the building of dozens of shelters and sanctuaries for the poor and sick. For her compassion she received the Nobel world Prize.

ReplyDeleteI think it is really important to show compassion, because we are people and that’s one of the human’s traits. We need to help people when they are feeling bad, because if we all help each other, world world would be better.I also help animals by providing them food, because they can’t do this by theirselves .
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should be sympathetic. If a person comes to a very strange place, we have to help him, let him adapt to this place, instead of bullying him and repelling him. This way the world will become better and better
ReplyDeleteIn my own opinion, I believe that compassion is one of the emotions that people have a hard time handling. Not all of us want others to be compassionate to us, if we don’t know the right way to compassion others, then the comforting effect won't work. For example, when others are pouring out their unhappiness, we should listen more instead of talking too much.
ReplyDeleteCompassion for me is a very important value. It’s the ability to comprehend the emotional state of others. Even though it is not the same thing as empathy, I believe those two values are very related. Once you understand and be sensitive about other people’s feelings, you are able to think about how you would feel in their position, and you can help them.
ReplyDeletefrom Damir:
ReplyDeleteThe definition of compassion, according to the Merriam-is the "sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it." The meaning compassion for me is to recognize someone’s suffering and then take action of help, compassion embodies tangible expression of love for those who are suffering.
For me compassion and empathy go hand in hand. People usually feel bad when they see someone suffer and who tries to relieve their pain or suffering, to remedy it or to avoid it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the best way to know if someone needs help is to analyze that person, for example, the way they look, how they speak and act and some little details that makes you realize how the person is. Then if you notice it you can ask them and let them know that they can trust you. Some examples that happened to me are: when a poor man came to my house and asked me for food, then I made him a sandwich, or when I noticed that a friend was having a hard time, I decided to help him and let him know that he could count on me.
In my opinion, compassion is being empathetic and understand each others suffering. Compassion is a value which allows you to treat everyone with equality. When I listen to other people, being generous and when I forget.
ReplyDeleteI think compassion is similar to sympathy because people who have compassion feel sad when they meet pitiful people. They sympathize with other people so most of them help each other and try to understand each other. For example, when they argue with their friends they try to talk with their friends. Instead of just asserting their opinion. Therefore, I want more people to have compassion. Then, I believe that the world will get better.
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion is the ability to put ourselves in the position of others and try to empathize or understand what they are going through and help them get through that. Compassion should be one of the main values of everybody with out compassion the world would be a horrible place to leave in. Sometimes people forget that we don’t know what the people around us are going through and a bad comment or joke can be the drop that maybe the glass spill.
ReplyDeletefrom Nick:
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion I very important. It very similar to sympathy and people that ha e compassion just simply feel sad for other people when they have a hard time or either they are sad. I show compassion to other people by trying to help them in hard moments for example: when my friend doesn’t know how to do his homework or lost something that is important to him I always try to help even if I don’t know much. The good thing is that when you show compassion to others they will probably also show it to you. For me compassion is very important in our life.
For me, compassion is kindness that all people have in their deep heart. Sometimes, it’s difficult to show our compassion. But I think even tiny things are good. For example, to keep the door open for next person. The important thing is to try to show their kindness. If it isn’t going well, absolutely someone gets it. Also, if everyone tries to show their kindness, the world would be a better place for everyone. And I believe the compassion has power to make it possible.
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion is a positive response and desire to help with an inner motivation to lessen or prevent suffering of others, you can try in your daily life to motivate others, share pretty words, say thank you, help someone in their goals, or another idea is that is the ability to understand someone else's situation and the desire to take action to improve their lives.
ReplyDeleteFor me compassion is helping the people when they need any type of help, even if is work problems, love problems or whatever because you know that they are not having a good time and you want them to feel better and to know that you are going to be for them at any time.
ReplyDeletefrom Edward:
ReplyDeleteCompassion to me is empathy, people sharing. Compassion motivates people to go beyond their limits to help with the physical, mental, or emotional pain and themselves. Compassion is having a sensitivity, a dynamic dimension to suffering. We can show kindness through our actions in real life, such as donating to homeless guys or charity. I usually treat poor people well as a respect to them
from Vittorio:
ReplyDeleteCompassion is one of the most important sells at Thornton academy. In my opinion, compassion is a form of sensitivity that we commonly feel for another person.
I usually use my compassion to help another kid who may be struggling in those moments.
For example, I may see a child lost in Milan, so I feel compassion for him and try to help him find his parents.
So in my opinion it's a feeling that comes when you see another boy in trouble and it's as if you feel guilty.
I think compassions is more like thinking about others, not just in yourself, I guess it could be something like not being selfish with your actions, thinking if your actions are going to hurt other people and then not doing it if they do, that’s compassion, for example if you know that eating something in front of a person with ED could trigger them, they don’t do it, have compassion with others.
