On Tuesday, November 3rd, Americans will choose the next president. The two major candidates are the current President, Donald Trump, and the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden. One of these men will be president for the next four years beginning in January, 2021. Do you care about the election? Does it make any difference to you who wins? Which candidate do you think is most popular in your country?

- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
I have no interest about the coming election. I won’t give any opinion. In my country there’s a man. His name is Paryut Chan-O-cha. He is a prime minister of Thailand since 2014.
ReplyDeleteBut it seem like Thai citizens doesn’t like him that much. They think he’s an extravagant person due to his action.
I think maybe in the eyes of Chinese people, more people would choose Biden instead of Trump, because Trump's actions made the Chinese feel unhappy, which caused disgust. So I think Biden will be better
ReplyDeleteI actually care about elections because I plan living here for live and of course it makes a difference for me, but I think for Spain too because they have businesses, I think that in my country the most popular president is Trump because the things he has made and the way he has of thinking.

I’m actually interested in election for tomorrow. Because it would effect my life of US for the future. But the problem is I don’t know who is doing to be a president which means I don’t know what I am supposed to elect for. So this is what I have to study for. Totally I’m very interested in this vote, also I want to study who would be more helpful for my future and I would take that side after know.
ReplyDeleteI am not very into American politics but one of my goals for this year abroad is to learn how politics is here and the different parties. I think it is important to learn about it. For Spain it is also important because they have “business” with them and also it is really important economically. In Spain I think they are people from both parties because of the different opinions everywhere.

I like Trump because what he did was so good, and I also prefer the republic. About my country, I do not care because the Vietnam government is communism, not democratic, in other words it's dictatorial. What they call "election" actually is set. So our votes are as well as not. That's how communism or socialism runs, dictatorial and cruel.
ReplyDeleteI have no interest in American politics, but I hope it will be Trump this time. From what I hear, Biden supports homosexuals. And North Korea and China have always been intimidated by Trump, but now their fears are gone.And as I am Christian, I think it's right for Trump to be president because he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
ReplyDeleteI don’t care who wins but my family prefer Joe Biden because my parents said Trump agree to make war. And also my parents said that Trump does something too strong. I don’t know that which person my country prefers. But I heard from my brother that there are some opinions that if Trump wins, the world will be better and it’s better to Biden wins than Trump. I think it’s a controversial topic. So I can’t say something easily.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Trump better than Biden. Because I competition with Chinese or the other asian people. However, Trump doesn’t - allow Chinese enter USA. That mean if Trump selected by USA. To go to university is easier. That is the reason why I prefer Trump better than Biden.
ReplyDeleteHonestly,I don’t care about American election this year.I don’t know too much about Trump and Biden,but I’m learning these days while election lasts.In my country,Trump is more popular than Biden,but I think that is just because he is current President.This year I’m voted in my country for first time and I learned and heard about politics a little bit.

ReplyDeleteI'm not interested in election too much but I think Joe Biden better than Trump because America are heavily affected by Covid-19 and Joe Biden want to improve healthcare. Donal Trump doesn't care much about healthcare make COVID-19 in America get worse. So I hope Joe Biden will win

DeleteI'm pretty interested in Korean politics. First, I don't support president in Korea. And, U.S and Korea is very close in relationship. So, result of election affects to us. There are so many differences between two candidate. Trump is conservative and Biden is liberal. Trump focus on economy and U.S citizen. And, Biden focus on human rights and health insurance. So, I can say Biden is similar as Obama. In my opinion, U.S has to focus on U.S economy. Because, China tries to take over globar market. U.S must have a means of containment. Trump always try to keep in check against China. But, Biden doesn't. I wanna say more about this topic. But, my opinion may be sensitive to someone, so I'll stop here. ReplyDeleteI think that United States election affects not only to United States it affects to all the world due is the most important country and have a lot of power but sadly I’m not informed one hundred percent and the only thing that I want is that Biden wins, I don’t know how is he and how it’s going to do it but I didn’t like Trumps management honestly.
Personally I do care about the election because I am living here in USA and it could change my life because of the police and all kings of things and it can really have an impact on stark market

This election should be in our expectation, because many Chinese people think that Biden will be elected as the president of the United States this time. A lot of help has come, and Biden's approval rate in our country will be higher than Trump.

I even hope that Joe Biden will be the president and most people in my country also hope that Joe Biden will be the president because of Trump’s covid-19 and his madness to blame China. This behavior makes too much China People are moved, disgusting and nonsensical. If Chinese people are allowed to vote, Trump’s votes will never exceed 10%.
ReplyDeleteTo tell the truth, I am very concerned about the election. I think Joe Biden's policy is more friendly to our students. Qiao Baideng is not well-known in China, but trump is very famous in China, mainly because many people are laughing at him because of some outlandish remarks he has made.
