One silver lining to the dark cloud of Covid-19 is that air pollution has decreased worldwide. Because few people are traveling and many office buildings and other work places are closed, there is much less car, bus, train, and plane use, and fewer pollutants are entering the atmosphere. Earth Day was April 22nd, and activists are working to reduce the burning of fossil fuels. Can we use this current crisis to help the environment?

ReplyDeleteWe can do many things to help environment. First, we can help environment to do small things. For example, we can save water if we turn off the water when we doesn’t use. Save water is also help environment. Not only save water, but also we can do many things to air pollution. First, we can make clean up the air to walking or ride a bike instead use your own car. Take public transportation is also good way to clean up the air. Lastly, companies should not illegally dump waste. Not all companies do, many companies illegally dump waste on the river, ocean also in the soil. It leads many environment pollution. Help environment is not a one’s job. Government, companies, and individuals must all try.
Every country and every region is different, and the rules are different. I think it might reduce the burning of fossil fuels. Most countries now have severe outbreak. Many people are going out less. It will have a little bit of help for the environment.

ReplyDeleteI think this virus has taught the world a lesson, and we have discovered many problems of our humanity. In this disaster, we can find that we are very small in the earth, and this virus also gives us The air has become very good, the water in Venice has never been so clear in recent decades, so I think this virus is hopeful to make our environment better.
Everything in this life have good and bad things yes we can use a crisis to help the world, probably this a sing to see we are killing the world and this is an opportunity for life to re borne and as a society we have to give the opportunity to the world to do it
ReplyDeleteShirley Zhou we can use this current crisis to help the environment. When we cannot go out, we will find the beauty outside. When we see the blue sky, we will realize how much damage to the environment before. So the outbreak is good or bad. It gives humans a good reflection. There are many ways to protect the earth. Everyone must learn to separate garbage, save water, drive less, and use public transportation. But it ’s not someone else ’s business, everyone needs to do it. Only when everyone has done it, the effect will be reflected So let's work together, the world will definitely get better and better .
ReplyDeleteI think we can use this situation to make people realize that we can actually save the Earth. Like me, many people have actually seen that the air pollution has reduced. As an example, in Korea, every Spring had been with the dirty sky because of yellow dust and fine dust from China which is very unhealthy for our body, especially for our lungs. However, as the factories stopped working, we can see the clear and bright sky now in Korea. Many people all over the world realized that this kind of crisis made people reduce their industrial activity and this made the air very clear. I think people can use this realization to change their behavior. We have always wanted to save the Earth for many years but we didn’t know how severe the problem was and how we can help the Earth. Just few people have been practicing. By this chance, people would have realized the problem and we can start to try from small things.

ReplyDeleteIn Korea, always have air pollution and Particulate Matter because of some the other country. This days every countries’ factory is stop and people aren’t usually use fossil fuels in their life( car,train, etc) so air pollution and particulate matter is going to be better. For this kinda example, we can realize use this crisis to help the environment.
This crisis is helping a lot with the levels of pollution around the world but the problem with this is that this is momentary because in the exact moment that this ends all the factories will open again and all will be the same, the only real way to change this is if we all change every person in the world and if we stop using many things like oil or plastic.

We can use the crisis to help the environment. Recently, the environment is getting worse and worse because of the bad behavior by human beings. The overuse of natural resources has broken the echo system, the gas from car and industry are also lead to air pollution. So it’s a good situation without transport devices and exhaust gas emission. This whole thing is a warning from the natural world, we need to protect the environment, or a more dangerous world next time.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, the environment caused by the virus is better because people no longer travel and produce outdoor garbage. Once the virus is over, we can use this virus to change the environment, but when the virus is over, the environment will continue to deteriorate. I personally feel that it is of little significance. Unless people keep environmental protection after the outbreak, I think it is the best way to use this virus

ReplyDeleteYes we can use the current crisis to help the environment.when we are not traveling or moving we don’t affect the environment. But this thing is not going to stay for a long time it is just for a short time until this is over when it is over is going to like before the factory or other thing is going to open and it is going to be the same. We can see with our own eyes the good effect on the planet of the non-presence of mankind, and that should help people to understand what we are doing to the earth and change it .

I think people can feel it is significant to protect our environment because of this virus. Also, people learn the importance of saving things because they can not go shopping very often.

In order to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infection, restrictions on going out, and reduction and suspension of production activities led to a temporary improvement in the global environment. This proved that human activities and the global environment are inextricably linked. Even after the new coronavirus converged, it was a good opportunity to prevent the global environment from deteriorating and to remind people what they need to do and what they should do.

In my opinion, we can use this international crisis to protect the environment. Before COVID-19 was started, people caused a lot of greenhouse gases. But after it was started people have to stay at home. For this reason, the degree of air pollution has decreased. This phenomenon shows that people's behavior and environmental issues are closely related. Therefore we have to more care for protecting environment especially in this period. I hope that people should be aware that they have to fix their mind and they need to be involved in saving the earth.
ReplyDeleteAlthough people are suffering greatly from the coronavirus, they have brought one advantage that they did not intend, which is exactly what prevents air pollution. Usually, Koreans use private cars and public transportation to look blurry, but thanks to the coronavirus, they often see clear skies. This is due to people not going out and not using transportation. As Earth's Day approaches, people can reduce pollution by just using fewer means of transportation.

ReplyDeleteThis crisis has been bad for everyone except the planet and global warming. Because people is not moving and using cars, planes and fuel based means of transport pollution and greenhouse emissions have gotten lower and even the ozone layer is healing. We don’t need to do much to help the planet in these days, by just staying home we are making a difference in the planet.
We can take advantage of the current crisis to protect the environment, and go out less, as far as possible to protect the environment, do not easily pollution and trample flowers and trees, we hope to see good together, in special times, we need to be more careful
ReplyDeleteReducing air pollution has a lot of ways to due with that problems. First of all, we can plant tree to replace the forest which are burn to have materials. Secondly, nowadays, scientists can create some of technology to apply the resources which has a lot like water or sunshine . But most importantly it is the consciousness of the people for the environment. So I think we don’t need that way to due with that

I think it is a good way to realize that we were killing the world before quarantine. Now after being in our house for more than two months, the environment in every country has improved a lot. I think we need to realize about that, and make a change after the virus is finished.
