- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
The first outbreak of Korona virus was in China. In just a few months, tens of thousands of people were diagnosed and spread to various countries. Now China has basically suppressed the virus, but the United States has also erupted. Fortunately, I plan to go back to China to take refuge. I don't think people need worry about the virus. The SARS virus was very severe at that time, but it was finally eliminated.

ReplyDeleteThe virus appears very early in the United States, probably even earlier than in China and possibly even in the United States. It's just that many American doctors don't think it's a virus, they think it's a flu. So no one took it seriously, and a lot of people got it. Until now the outbreak in the United States. I'm going to fly back to China. This is only the thing what i can do.
I think the virus is not taken seriously by people who are still living normal life and doesn’t understand that you should cooperate the system and be inside of our houses. Im just worried that it’s gonna last long because stupid people who don’t care and whole world gonna suffer.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm glad I'm safe during this time. But I want to say that the virus was first discovered in China, not necessarily originated in China. Many people started to hate the Chinese because of the virus, and thought it was the fault of the Chinese. Even when they saw the Chinese wearing a mask, they would hit him. Come early and go fast, China has fewer and fewer people infected with the virus, but the situation in the United States is not optimistic. Cities such as New York are particularly dangerous. I am relatively safe in Maine. But as the temperature rises, the virus will gradually disappear, so don’t be afraid, hope ahead.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should wear a mask and try to keep a distance when dealing with others to avoid mutual infection. Don't go out to parties and wash hands more, so that there won't be unnecessary infection and won't be infected
ReplyDeleteBecause of corona I come back to Korea. I hope corona will end as soon as possible. If you go to airport or place which a lot of people are in there please wear mask and careful.
ReplyDeleteI think covid19 has affected us all personally I am going back to Mexico because all of this situation and also not going to regular school anymore but what I think we need to do with this situation is get caught up with things that we regularly don’t have time. -Fabiana Tapia

ReplyDeleteI think we should not panic but the situation will never get better if United States don’t do anything. Countries like Us and UK did an orribile job trying to contain the virus and now the cases are probably 10 times more then what we know. UK admitted the mistake, Trump should do the same instead of keep lying.
I have returned to Korea after organizing my American life because of the school that was shut down due to the Corona virus. The Korean government recommends a two-week self-pricing to those who have entered North America or Europe. So I'm currently doing 14 days of self-examination and I'm self-diagnosing the Department of Health and Human Services every day and submitting my condition. Many people worldwide have been infected with the virus, many have died, which has led to the suspension of many international students like me, and many shops have closed. In Korea, the new semester starts in March, but the Corona virus has not yet opened the school, and students do not know when they can go to school. I hope the corona virus will be quiet soon, and those who have already been infected will be treated as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteI have returned to Spain after a good experience in Maine the reason I returned to Spain is because the school gave us the opportunity to come back because of the pandemic of Covid-19, I am doing good in Spain a little worried about the people that still on the campus, they are having lots of restrictions and some of them won’t be able to return home.
ReplyDeleteI think the virus can not disappear very easily, it is a global disaster. And the only way that we can do is to decrease the times we go out and wash our hands all the times. Also, I believe if we all cooperate and follow the words that the government said, we will become better.
ReplyDeleteI think the severity of coronavirus is far greater than any other virus. The most effective way is to wear masks. But I don't know why the CDC doesn't recommend wearing masks for American citizens. Maybe because there are not enough masks in the United States, but the U.S. government lies that masks are useless. When there are only 300 cases in Wuhan, the city will be closed, but New York City will wait until tens of thousands of cases. Why can't we learn from China's experience? In short, I think China is the safest place in the world.
ReplyDeleteThe virus started in China a few months ago.But the world gets all the virus . Because we were close enough to spread it, what I mean is before airplanes become this famous we don't travel to other counters like this but now we are traveling so much even some of us will often traven in our vacation . I think that is good but before several years there was a virus oslo but it don’t become like this the reason is we were not traveling like this before that makes the virus to not become like this big .And when we see other countries that don’t obey for the orders so they spread it so easy that make the virus bigger and when it start we assume it gone be only in chana and we didn’t prepare for it we was just living our life like other times but the virus come and the one we don’t care it become world issue . As some say we have to be careful . If it is not near oslo. And at last I am hearing some people blaming chana or the vires inshal place they didn't do anything they didn’t prepare for it “like as“that we didn’t prepare for it that is my word. Am thinking the virus came to make ass close and prepare for other things and keep ourselves .
ReplyDeleteI know this virus has had an irreversible impact, and many, many people have lost loved ones and families. During this period, our school also changed face-to-face teaching into online teaching. As a lucky person, I am grateful that the school still has the dormitory open for us, include food and residence. I also considered whether to go back to China, but after some struggle, I finally chose to stay in the dormitory. I know my country bears a lot of burdens now, and going back now would only make things worse. What's more, I believe in the safety measures of our school. During my time in isolation, I thought a lot. From the beginning to now, I have basically not made any statements or reposts about this matter. I cannot tell the truth from the truth, and I do not know whether I should be happy or sad with the continuous new events. The only thing I can be sure of is the safety of my family. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing for human beings. I sincerely hope that human beings can understand all kinds of warnings from nature to us, and we should respect nature more through this matter.
ReplyDeleteThe Corona Virus was started in China. But now it spread every world So, most of country is in emergency. I am going back to Korea because I think Corona virus gonna be worse than this in America. In my thought, Americans don’t care about virus that much as other country and now America has most cases in the world. But I am staying healthy now and I will keep stay healthy like this. I hope virus get better soon So, everyone can be safe and back to our normal life.
ReplyDeleteThe coronavirus has brought a crisis to all countries. School opening has been postponed, and in good weather, We can't go outside. It is natural to take steps to prevent the virus from spreading any more, but it is hurting everyone. The number of patients suffering from depression is also increasing due to the inability to leave the house. It's such a shame that all I can do when I come to the U.S. to study is stay at home, but it seems like it's time for everyone to overcome and endure so that the virus disappears quickly. This is a time when we should help each other rather than blame anyone.
ReplyDeleteNowadays, the Coronavirus is very dangerous. Because we don’t have medicine for treatment or vaccines. In my view, the citizens of each countries which has spread of virus must stay at home. So that can decrease the amount of the infections. Now I just stay in the school and not go outside the school. I don’t worry too much of that. Because if you have a good health you can not affect of that virus
ReplyDeleteThese days, the coronavirus is becoming a serious problem all over the world Because of the coronavirus, I came back to Korea. Korean schools should have started school at 3/2, but they can't to do so they replace classes with online classes. Also, I have to do self quarantine because I came from overseas country. It is boring, but I am having a happy time with my family at home.

ReplyDeleteWhen I look at the phone, I can get the latest information. The real-time updates of information stored in the phone and real-time help me to understand things around the world. If I lose my phone, there is not much problem. I can bear it for at least half a year.
The new coronavirus is indeed terrible. In our school, there has been a case of a new virus diagnosed. In this case, we must do not contact with others. Remember to wear a mask when you walk out of the room. What I have done so far is not bad, and will continue to do so in the next month or two, Some people think this matter is terrible, for example, my roommate, he does not want anyone to enter our room. But I think that as long as the above things can be done, the virus is not so terrible
ReplyDeleteNow I am in Korea at my home with my family. I decided to come back to Korea because the situation has been getting worse in America and my family and I thought that Korea would be better to stay at this time. I should be in self-quarantine for 14 days and I got corona virus test when I arrived. This is a very hard time to everyone but I’m glad that everyone is doing well and staying safe. Especially, I am very happy that I’m safe and I’m with my family now.
ReplyDeleteI have a good time, the virus is highly contagious, so you need to be protection measures, as far as possible go out, at home, if go out remember to wear a mask, communicate with others less, less go to anywhere there are a lot of people, and then got the virus first can feel fever symptoms such as dizziness, so you must take good care of yourself, pay attention to health, wash your hands often and less to go out

ReplyDeleteThis virus is coming, we have to face it together, unite as one, if blindly repeated and replaced there is no way to eliminate this virus, the corona virus is obviously unrealistic, I think we need all of us to organize, wear Put on a mask, wash your hands frequently, and avoid going out, so you can reduce the risk of getting sick. ReplyDeleteCoronavirus is threatening the world. In Japan, the number of infected people is increasing every day. However, Japanese teenagers do not believe that the infection will worsen their symptoms. Go out and play with friends. Some Japanese believe that they are safe and will not be infected, and are spreading the infection on their own. I am very worried because my family works in the medical field.

ReplyDeleteI think the people when all the virus started no body expected that it was going to get here and nobody took precautions. In Panama in a few weeks got to three thousands cases and now is the country with more cases in Central America, i hope everything gets better in summer, i’m scare it least more. I also think the coronavirus is going to affect a lot the economy of all the countries in the world.
ReplyDeleteWell I think as a society in Mérida(My city) we are doing great the process to accept that we are living a new era and as a society we have to take care of us and ours but also we have to see about the economy the school we have to take care of the present but see how things are gonna happen in the future, I’m not that optimistic I think this is gonna end on October but I’m sure we are gonna do great as a society
