Journal Question #12

Ever feel stressed out by school?  What are some good ways to cope with, avoid, or eliminate stress?  What can a student do to make his/her life at school as stress-free as possible?  Share some tips with your fellow students, and read some of your classmates' ideas; you might find out ways to improve your life at TA and beyond!

  1. I feel relaxed at TA. Because there are very few homework and exams. If you ask me what can I do to relieve stress, I think exercise is a good choice, such as running and playing badminton. When you're done exercising, you will feel relaxed after going back to the bath . If this doesn't work for you, then you can go eat your favorite food. When I eat the food I like, I feel as if in heaven. But the most important thing is not to push yourself too tight, learn to relax, this is more conducive to learning.

I don’t feel stressed in TA as I was in Spain, to avoid stress the better thing to do is to do the things they have assigned you, for example you have three projects and two exams, you start doing it the first day that they assign you that homework and don’t wait for the last day to do that things.

  3. I don't feel any pressure in TA. I come from China. The study pressure in China is hundreds of times of that in the United States. Every day, I write my homework to two or three o'clock in the morning and get up at six thirty in the morning. This also makes me feel very relaxed here. I can sleep to eight thirty every day. Whenever I feel pressure in China, I play games and listen to music to relax myself

  4. In Mexico I used to feel so stressful because of all the work and tests. The things that made me fill less stressful were to always organize my homework and always do homework with time. Another thing I used to do is study days before because that made me feel more confident. After all the thing that made less stressful was playing some sport or hearing music.

  5. Of course everyone have their own stress. It depends on reason that you have stress. In my view, all most students get stress on the test or the final exam. They can hang out with their friend to relieve stress. Or playing some sports that they like. So it can make the students can feel better and comfortable.

  7. I think everyone has their own stressed. We can not avoid stress from our life, but we can decrease our pressure or turn pressure to power. Stress is not always a bad thing for me.When we meet some difficult things to cope with, we may feel stress. But if we can go through it, defeat it, we will become much better than before. It also can be a power for me to become better person, because I think a too comfortable place will never make people grow up.

  8. I used to feel stressful when I didn’t do sth very well, because i know my parents won’t happy if they know it. I’m a person who sets high standards for myself. I can’t tolerate every mistake I made, but when I feel too much pressure, I will watch movies or listen to sone light music. That will make me feel better and more relax. I don’t like to share my pain to my friends or my parents, I will try to figure it out on my own just like doing a reading comprehension. Everyone sometimes stress out, but never say never.^_^

  9. I think school in Mexico is more dressed than here in USA but if you want to go well in your grades you have to organize your homework and study to all the tests and quiz.

The truth is that I do not suffer stress in this school, it is all very quiet people and the environment is not as heavy as in Mexico since in Mexico I have the price of my parents and the social price two things that generate a lot of stress and here I do not have them what happens to me here is that I despair since living with only teenagers is desperate

  11. I think that my life in the US is much more relaxed than in Mexico, I think it also influences that I live winged from school because that way I don't have to use the car and avoid traffic stress, I also think that
    The school here is much easier and more flexible than in México also I think the teachers here understand the students more and give us more opportunities

  12. I don’t get a lot of stress than when I was in korea high school. When I was in korea I got a lot of stress because we have a lot of pressure about get good grades than here. When I get stress I always try to take a nap or get some deep sleep. Or sometimes I go outside to play sports with my friend or talk with my best friend to share my stress with my friend. But good thing is I don’t get a lot of stress in TA.

  13. When I was in Korea, I felt so much pressure and stress about learning. Thus, in my case, I don't get much stress from school now. However, in my opinion, all student have their own stress. Not just from studying, there must be other reason such as a relationship between friends. I think finding a hobby and enjoying it is a good way to relieve stress. Also, to make their life at school as stress-free, student should join some club, and do some activity with their friends. And I'm sure this way is really helpful to relieve their stress!

  14. I used to go to school when I was under a lot of pressure, so I would do a lot of things to relieve the stress. I often played games to relax me. Sometimes I would eat some food I like or cook by myself. Things make me happy

  15. I felt stressed when I study in China. I can drink more water and do some exercises and play video games to avoid stress. I think this a good way to avoid stress. Attend some activities also can avoid stress.

  16. I think almost every student feel stressed few times, if I feel stressed I just take a nap or sleep. Because After take nap or sleep I feel fresh. If you don’t want to get stressed do your homework as soon as possible. If you finish homework as soon as possible you can make a time and you have a time to do the other things.

  17. In my opinion almost all peoples feel stress . If someone become stress he or she have to know what to do when they are stressed . when I become stress i will see move or take nap of be stress. I no i'm talking about stress and you going to say how being stressed makes me feel better . If I'm stressed and am stressed about other things or not my classes or school I will think about it and I Will try to solve it that makes me feel better . Is not always only same times. The school here makes me more stressed than in my country because if I was in my country my brother will help me with many things so I will not be stressed and here working by myself without my brother and his advice makes me stressed . To not be stressed, what we have to do is do our thighs on time that is my suggestion to not become stressed.

  18. I don’t feel stressed in TA. Studying in China is one of the most stressful in the world, so if you try to study in China, you should spend your free time finishing your lots of homework. However, we only have less homework need to do so that we will have more time to do something we like. And I can play basketball for a long time everyday and it is so great.

Sometimes have pressure at school, when you're feeling stressed, you can find some things to do, Saturday and Sunday to travel, usually go out for a walk, listen to music, for fun, eat your favorite foods, do something you like, can also play some relief, would it be possible for me to reduce stress for me these things, interesting things much more special in the world, there is always a thing can let you relieve pressure, I hope that these methods can help you reduce stress

  22. I feel stressed on the test. Listening to music, calling Japanese friends, and watching concert DVD of my favorite artists will alleviate my stress. If I study everyday, I will feel more confident in my scholastic ability and feel less stressed on the test.

  23. I feel the pressure because of school, I should study harder and ask the teacher in time where I don't understand. Having a good social circle and a very good score can help students eliminate the pressure.

  24. I often feel stressed by the school, homework, grades, or friends. Actually, my life in here at TA is much more relaxed than it was in Korea. But I still have stresses here, then I usually do some sports. The school athletic programs would be very good because you can also hang out with your teammates and play the game. Also, just working out by going to the gym would be great. You can forget about your concerns by making your body tired and after the exercise, you will feel much better than before!

  25. School can be stressful sometimes but you can avoid the stress make by the school. The last year I had a very stressful moment at the school when I was at the end of the semester, I needed to do 8 tests in 5 days so I studied all day
    I avoid the stress by playing video games and listening music. The school can be stress free having good grades and you not need to worry about the school.[ Beto]

  26. Yes school is stressful but you can avoid it being really prepared to quizzes and testes so you cant stress. I eliminate my own stress by doing lots of sleeping and eating. It has been good since 1 grade. Just focus in the classroom and be ready to testes and quizzes and don’t be that guy who starts doing studying at last night.

  27. For me, the way to relieve the stress of learning is of course to play video games. It can make you feel like entering another world, and you can also interact with others online, the main thing is. You can do it in the dormitory. But the bad thing is that it ’s easy to get addicted to it

  28. Usually, I don’t feel stressed even have a lot of work. My tip is don’t thinking’s about negative, don’t be sensitive. That thought is a main reason make you stress. Same as everybody I play games, workout, listen to music, take nap to avoid stressful.

    Sometimes at school, the pressure is still a bit stressful. For example, the next day I have to take an exam. The previous day I will be very nervous. Sometimes there will be a lot of homework. If it is a problem, there must be a way to solve it. I am a boy who likes playing basketball very much. Whenever I am in a bad mood or under pressure, I will go to the court to play basketball. Playing basketball can relax me. I can vent my bad mood, and basketball can always be Accompany me, this is also my favorite thing, so whenever I am stressed, I will go to play basketball to solve the problem.

  30. I have never felt boring and stress in TA study life, because the study here makes me happy. Whenever I feel boring and boring, I will think about my study life in China. I used to study in China. The pressure there is very large Homework often makes it difficult for students to accept or even commit suicide. In contrast, I like TA

  31. When I was in Korea, I was stressed out at school, and Korean students studied by reducing their sleeping time, watched quizzes every day, and had a total of four big tests a year. High school was decided according to grades, college was decided according to high school grades, and jobs were decided according to the name of the university. So when I was in Korea, I was stressed so much about my grades. But I am currently attending TA in the United States, and I am stressed about my grades and tests, but it is less than when I was in Korea.To reduce my stressed, I planed schedule well so that I don’t get stressed out about my grades and exams at TA, and I put my favorite subject on a day when I have to take a subject that is too burdensome for my grades. For example, Maroon Day takes subjects that require attention to grades such as English and mathematics, but Maroon Day takes my favorite athletics course. So I can reduce the burden of grades and exams to some extent. Eating lunch with friends and participating in school activities can also reduce the stress from school.

  33. Korea is very different from here in education. Taking exams the next day after staying up all night, daily quizzes always make students nervous. I came here to study abroad, so my stress on studying has decreased a lot. I had time to think about my future, not just my score, and I could think about what I really wanted to do later. Of course, I'm stressed out here, but I feel stressed that makes me move forward. All students are under stress. It could be studying, friendship, or future worries. I have my own time each time. Sometimes my worries grow bigger and my mind wobbles because of what people around me say. If I have time alone, I can organize my thoughts on my own. If other students are stressed out by various worries, I recommend taking enough time to organize your thoughts.

  34. I do feel stressed sometimes by school but I try to handle it in a way that it doesn’t make me feel that bad or I try to look for solutions to what ever is causing that stress. In my experience with stress to successfully manage it you need to identify what is causing this feeling and then try to solve that problem. For example if the stress is being caused by a homework you haven’t done and you don’t have enough time you start the homework and ask for a late submit. Also being more organized can help to reduce stress at school.

  35. Here I use to be more relax, I am stressed about my grades and tests in my country I used to have teachers after school in my house so that was easier for study here I have to study by my own and do my homework by my own but here it’s easier.

  37. I don’t feel stressed in TA. Studying in to the French systems, is hard end American systems is really easy However, we only have less homework need to do so that we will have more time to be with my friend to go out whit my friend.

  38. I don’t feel so stressful in TA just sometimes I have a lot of homework but if I have a stressful day by the end of the day I go for a walk to relax. When I use to study in panama there were a lot of hw that there wasn’t nothing to not be stress as much I couldn’t see my friends until the weekends.
