Drugs are a huge problem in America. Opioid abuse (e.g., Heroin, Oxycodone, other prescription and street drugs) is in the news now because of the number of deaths they cause. But there are lots of drugs that don't necessarily kill you but hurt you anyway: alcohol, marijuana, LSD, crystal meth, tranquilizers, etc. Here's the question: why do people, especially young people, take drugs? Are you interested in "experimenting" with drugs? Why or why not?

- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
I’m not interested in experimenting with drugs.Because drugs will hurt my body and make me addicted to drugs.This will make me unable to concentrate on studying or working, or even getting some terrible diseases.So i think I will not interested about drugs.
ReplyDeleteI’m not interested in experimenting with drugs.Because drugs are very dangerous,and it’s will hurt my body and kill me.i will never touch the drugs and I will never be friends with who touch or sell drugs.if I use drugs I can’t get back to normal life easily,and I will be very sad and unhealthy.
ReplyDeleteYoung people are very curious and like to pursue stimuli. When they see someone taking drugs, they are easy to try under the drive of curiosity. In addition, one of the characteristics of teenagers is that they like to party and imitate each other. It is often the case that one person in the circle takes drugs, which will cause most of the friends around him to get poison. If I find that people around me are taking drugs, I will definitely stop them, because there are too many harms in drug use, and there is no benefit. I am not interested in taking drugs myself.

DeleteMany of the people start using drugs and alcohol at a young age since they are 15 years old. They start experimenting with all of this. They start using drugs out of curiosity and knowing how it feels to consume them. Adolescents like to experiment and feel new things.
ReplyDeleteAs a person I have never used drugs and I am not interested in doing so because they often affect your health and can also make you addicted to them.
Many young people use drugs to be less aware of the dangers of drugs. Drugs that are not self-motivated by friends or others will begin to take drugs. I am not interested in using the drug "test". Because many times, because of curiosity, we are prompted to try and finally many people have embarked on the road of drug abuse. For drugs such as drugs that are harmful to our bodies, we should learn to better protect ourselves from "testing" and eating them.
ReplyDeleteAs I can see, the reason make people use drug is the feeling drugs give to them. For example when you drink drugs you will feel relaxed and happy or you choose don’t drink and feel pressuring, stress? That why young people drink drugs. I don’t want to get drugs but sometimes I want to try. Because I’m a curious person so I want to have this experiment.
ReplyDeleteI think many young peoples take drugs cause is these young people don’t have enough knowledge about drugs, and they may don’t know dangers of drugs.Drugs is very dangerous for peoples. Cause,if you want to try one time.You won't stop.If you use the drug for a long time, your body will fester and your life will be reduced.Will also affect family members.I am uninterested for drugs,is so dangerous.All of the above is my opinion.

ReplyDeleteI think the reason why many young people take drugs is that these young people are curious and cognizant about drugs. They may not know the harm of drugs. Drugs are very dangerous for people. Because if you want to try it once. You won't stop. If you use this medicine for a long time, your body will fester and your life will decrease. It also affects family members. I am not interested in drugs, it is too dangerous. It will even ruin your life.

DeleteAlthough drugs can give people a short time of pleasure and stimulation, the damage it causes to people is irreparable. Once people are addicted to drugs, they are basically ruined in their lifetime. In China, it is a big crime to take and sell these contraband goods. You can be sentenced to death if you sell more than 50 grams of drugs. I will not touch and take these contraband anyway, this is my principle. No matter what happened in the future, I am still steadfast.

Every year, many people in the world die and take drugs. Many artists, the boss went to take drugs to reduce stress. The last change of family broke. DeleteDrugs, a lot of people take drugs knowing that is the worst thing in the world, I take drugs too when I am in Spain and I get drunk with alcohol at the same time that im getting drunk I know im taking drugs, that is sadly, but a lot of people still taking drugs knowing they are going to die soon because that.
ReplyDeleteIs normal that people tried a couple of drugs being in high school and college I would say the 2 “better” drugs i couldn’t say better like good than the other ones are alcohol and marijuana always taking care you don’t do that stuff all the days or all the weeks.

ReplyDeleteNowadays, many young people use drugs. I think it is part of the pressure on life. For example, in work have many problems and in learning have many difficulties question are the pressures of most young people. so they want ues drugs and smoking to relaxation pressure.I am not interested in trying drugs, because it will make me weak. If I can, I want to try to let my classmates or friends to quit cigarettes.
ReplyDeleteWe live in a world where drugs are very common, I think young people take drugs to look cool in front of their friends, there is also a very bad influence of rappers, they make songs and in their video clips they appear taking drugs and I think that It incites young people. I'm not interested in drugs because I play soccer and that would be bad for me, but occasionally if I drink alcohol in Spain.
