How
do you choose a friend? Do you speak the same language? Do you come
from the same place? Do you have the same interests or believe in the
same ideas? How do you know when someone isn't a friend? Do you
choose not to be friends with some people for some of the above reasons
(different language, place, interests, beliefs)? How easily can a
friend become not a friend? How does that happen?

- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
I often make friends, no matter what country he comes from or what language he speaks. When I make a friend, if I find that he is not friendly to me or he often lies to me, I will not be good friends with him. But I never make friends with someone because of the international or the language. If you want to be a friend, it is not good to lie to him and be friendly to him.
ReplyDeleteI think that all people can be friends regardless of the country you come from the religion in which you believe and the political idea that you have, the most important thing is that when you spend time together you have fun and you can have it if you have a problem and help you to solve them.
ReplyDeleteMost of my friends I know them from when I was young but but there are ones of them I meet them in the United States and most of them are because they talk Spanish or are friendly because not all of them speak Spanish, a friend can become not a friend because something happend that ruin the relationship or can be for another reason.
ReplyDeleteI choose my friends in an interesting way, I choose my friends for what they are, not for what they have. I can have friends from differents country that it doesn’t matter, but most of my bests friends they are from Mexico, we can disagree in differents topics but it’s doesn’t matter, sometimes we can have the same interests but sometimes we have discussions about that, I know when someone it’s not a friend, because she or he can tell you bad decisions or bad things about the other or they can make you look bad person I like everybody from differents parts of the world, differents religions, if they are good person it’s good, I don’t care if they are bad people only i will not talk to them, sometimes is easy make a friends because you can have the same interests of that people, sometimes is difficult, maybe you are not in home or maybe you don’t like the people from that country or place.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion,I think make friends is regardless of country or race.If a person wants to know if a person is a friend，You need to see if this person will help you or comfort to you when you are in trouble and you can also see from the money whether this person is a friend,for example,borrow money from him.If two peoples perior to were friends and after weren’t friend.Because of these two peoples have become distrustful each other.I usually make friends with people who share the same hobbies or who can get along with me .
ReplyDeleteI think if you want to make friend you should be nice to them and friendly to them.i usually make friend,and no matter where they from,and I don’t like to be friend with someone are rude or very disrespectful,I don’t like to be friend with them.
ReplyDeleteI chose my friends to know each other in a variety of ways and then become friends with each other. I think language is very important, and being a friend is usually through language communication. I don't think it's not necessarily that people from the same place can be friends, usually having the same interest or believing in the same ideas will make us more likely to be friends. People who do not respect me are generally not friends. You may choose not to be friends with some people because they have some very bad behavior. It is easy for friends to become friends. A sentence or a thing can cause a friend to be a friend.
ReplyDeleteI will choose friends in the same language or different languages. I can come from other countries. I will like friends who love sports and computer games. I don't exclude religion, but it must be legal.I will choose people I think are honest and hardworking.
ReplyDeleteI make friend by the feeling .whatever you are.Chinese or Americans .If the feeling is right.I want make friends with you.If not.ok goodbye.and I think the best friend must have some similarities with you.like hobby and character.they will make you become best friends.otherwise you will always have problems with your friends，like when you have free how did you spend it，and you want stay in the dorm play video games .your friend want go out take walk and eat some foods.so that is your different.maybe someone think that is ok.but after sometime.you never won’t have this idea.case too different.like come from different world
ReplyDeleteI think making friends must be very friendly, be polite, I think that language has nothing to do, of course my most of my friends are Chinese, because communication is easy, don't need to speak other languages, I make friends Are generally have a common interest hobby will play well.
ReplyDeleteI don't care who my friends are, poor or rich. As long as they have common interests and hobbies, it is enough to have a common topic. We can play video games together and travel together.
ReplyDeleteI am willing to make friends with people from all over the world. Most of my friends are from the same country. Now I am in a different country, so many friends and I come from different countries. My friends and I will also have frequent disputes, and our preferences are different. There is no such thing as a friend in my eyes. Some people can't be friends with me because they are very stubborn and have many conflicts. Anyone can be friends, we don't have any qualifications to choose friends, everyone is equal. There are many reasons for being friends and become not a friends. A person may hurt one person and let your friends no longer forgive you.
ReplyDeleteI will choose people who share the same interests and have the same interests as friends. In this way, we have a common topic and can communicate better. But I think the most important thing to choose a friend is to make a person who can make progress together with you in a good way, and can help you in your study or life.

ReplyDeleteFriends are one of the most important parts of everyone's life. Everyone has a lot of friends in their lives. Of course, I also have many friends. There are two points in my selection of friends. First, he is a funny person, a person who is good at expressing himself. The second point is that he is a kind person and a good friend. I think friends are regardless of race, color, language. Many people are friends with you for your own benefit or for other purposes. So keep your eyes when making friends. Some friends just know each other and are not familiar with each other. So I think that a few people in your life really understand you, and understanding your confidant is enough. ReplyDeleteMake friends just a miss in this world. Friends are animals lives in the herd, the powerful one always make weakness one work for. All of their ready give member to sacrifice for them. Friends are sin, they selfish, lying, love to beat up to others. But I don’t want to make mistake again so I don’t want have friends.
I dont care if my friends there are not from my same country and believe in the same religion, i just want in my friends that they love me and believe me, thats what i do to them.
