September is "Hurrricane Season" in the Atlantic Ocean, and right now Hurricane Florence (pictured above) is hitting the coast of North Carolina in the United States. Climate change is causing an increase in the number and strength of extreme weather all over the world, including hurricanes, typhoons, and other big storms, as well as droughts (very dry weather). Two questions: have you experienced extreme weather of some type? If so, describe it. Second: do you think anything can be done to prevent or prepare for increasing extreme weather? What?

I think before the arrival of the typhoon,we can close the window、close the door and put away the clothes on the hanger.I think it is a good job to help others. I hope that one day is very important to me. Because,I study to find a good job in the future. I think a family must have a parents. I think a society is made up of many families.
I haven’t experience any of those extreme weather.When the hurricane, when the storm comes, everyone should not go out, check the firmness of your house, check all the doors and windows. If it is a very dangerous hurricane, a potentially fatal hurricane, you may need to leave the city, pack up the necessary things, and do the best protection for the house, but if you destroy it, there is no way.

ReplyDeleteOnce this happened in my city, once all the people were preparing for the hurricane but we did not know that it was coming, the news said that it arrived in two days but it arrived the same day that we were told in the news, a good preparation is making shelters, having an open hospital and having police guarding the city. ReplyDeleteI haven’t seen hurricane like this in my city.but I know how to prepare for it.first ,we close the window and doors.and then we go out get everything important inside. Because if you leave it outside ,the hurricane will take it away.and then we buy a lot of food before the hurricane come.because the hurricane is too strong ,we can’t go outside,and then we will stay in our house eating our food and watch tv until the hurricane is gone.

ReplyDeleteOne time the hurricane catrina were near panama and there was a lot of thunderstorms and stuff but I wouldn’t be glad if I were in a hurricane. But we never know when a storm can come up for that we always need to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteI have seen mudslides, sliding down from the top of the mountain. It is very scary. There are many big stones. I think I can smash the car. I have read some articles. The best way to prevent mudslides is to plant trees and lots of grass.

I have encountered a typhoon in Hainan, China. At that time, I went to vacation with my family, so we avoided the typhoon at the hotel. ReplyDeleteI have experienced extreme weather before. When I was in Fuzhou. It’s a place in the southeast
of China. The Fuzhou is near to the sea. In the summer some typhoons appeared in Fuzhou.
When the typhoon comes, everyone will in the house and close the windows, lock the doors. If
you look out the window, you will see the tree is very shaky, the broken branches appeared on
the ground. I don’t think do anything can prevent the extreme weather. The extreme weather is
part of natural. We can’t change it. If we change the natural will be worse but we can something
to prepare for bad weather. We can avoid the bad things happen and turn to some useful things.
When I was a child, I met a level 10 typhoon when I was in Macau. That is very scary. We sat in the car and saw that the tricycles outside were blown away, and the glass of the hotel was blown. The entire Macau is closed and vehicles are not allowed to pass. So when this dangerous storm comes, people must stay at home. Check the windows and lock the doors.

ReplyDeleteSo I know some simple prepare for this weather. You should stay in house close door, window stay away from it. If you are driving, you shouldn’t try driving fast to go home replace it find a place nearest to find, don’t stay under the tree.
The best way is always watch weather new to have good preparation
