That's a joke. Every culture has its jokes - thousands of them, in fact - but very few jokes are funny to all cultures. In fact, it's hard to see the humor in the jokes of another culture, even after mastering that culture's language. Here's the question: What makes you laugh? Who makes you laugh? Have you heard jokes or seen comedies from foreign cultures that make you laugh? Share a joke, if you want, and make us laugh!
I don't like to read jokes. I like to watch some interesting shows. I like to watch a program in the United States called ellentube, which is actually a reality show. I also like to watch reality shows on programs in China. Because I don't read jokes, I don't have any joke to share with everyone. In a reality show, it may be a sentence spoken by someone that makes us laugh. Reading jokes should be less popular in the present era. I think watching reality shows or comedies is what makes people happy right now. These are my own opinions. Everyone has a different understanding of this.
ReplyDeleteA person who can make you laugh is means both of you have some same backgrounds, culture or interested in a same thing. So my friends and my family members usually can make me Laugh by some jokes. This is why there are lots of jokes that Mr.Griffin talked us but we didn’t get it. However I really have a thing can share with all of you: A day Mr.Carlson asked us “ Is this Chinese year of dog?” In the history class. Every Chinese students said “Yes.” “Eh…” Mr. Carlson thought about one second, and seriously asked us, “ Which kind of dogs?” some students laughed. But Alex said “ single dogs.” LOL …. that is not a joke, it real happened. All of Chinese students laugh because we have same culture. Anyway, I like “jokers” ,not only because jokers are the largest combination in the Chinese ancient card game, also the people who can bring fun to you, they must have a pair of eyes of discovery. They are love them life.

There are so many different cultures in the world. Each of them is very different. There’s one thing in common, that people tell jokes to each other. But some jokes are not funny at all. I am very interested in telling jokes, but I always fail to make people around me laugh because most of them were being told by others. For example one time, I was watching a TV series called The Big Bang Theory, and I still remembered that Sheldon, Leonard, Amy and Penny were playing a game called Draw Something, and Sheldon always draw something about science instead of regular daily life, so they lost the game in the end. When I told my friend through WeChat, I found out that he had already watched that part. Pretty embarrassing, right?
In china have many joke many things make me laugh.My farther always says joke and my friend always says joke it's a funny thing,and I like to watch funny videos like some people spoof others when I boring I watch that.

I remembered one joke is this, one person had one test about driveing car. Arrived at one crossing, one indicator written turn left. He want to insure so he asked teacher ' turn left?' The teacher answered 'right!' Then he failed the test!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to make me laugh by telling some “funny” jokes. Normally I just can not get it and make others embarrassing. It is easy for you to make other people laugh if both of you guys have same understanding and life experience to same things..In other words, you are same kind of people. This makes you have same “haha” point. For me, I like jokes about video games and animes. These are the areas which I am interested in. Therefore people make me laugh are other gamers and players. I saw some Jokes and comedies from foreign cultures that make me laugh. And it is really difficult to get it at very beginning. Because the difference between language and culture.

That really can make me laugh because you have the real scenes to think about. Sometimes the talk it is not like the real scenes have that much persuasion. And i think if you stay with someone you like, you will laugh by unconsciously. Because you like to stay with them, so they do any “stupid” things you will laugh. Smile is good, that can make you be happy at all.

I don’t like tell jokes, and I will not spend time on reading them. But there is a lot of things can make me laugh. Sometimes I will watch funny video. Some of them can really make me laugh. My friends are full of hummer. We always make fun of each other. We will probably laugh. Comedy movie can make me laugh too. They could be very outstanding.

Even the things are not laughable. Once, My friend was feeding a squirrel. He thinks that is safe to feed. While squirrel eating a peanut, then squirrel bites his finger. My friend took back his hand. Then he blame on that squirrel. Suddenly, squirrel get scared and jumped really high. I laughed about this all day.

ReplyDeleteI never liked TV-shows or films that were identified as a “comic”, because almost all of the jokes were primitive and repetitive. There the same situation with cartoons, whether TV-show or a “theater cartoon”, 95% of jokes are always either about farts and burps, or very stupid and not-funny situations, or both of them. However I found a source of “jokes”, fun and entertainment for myself in video games. Because in video games you can do whatever you want, and sometimes this freedom causes you to do random things, which can cause strange and funny situations. Playing with friend is always funny, because you can always cooperate and create a fun situation, or convince your friend to do it, or even put your friend in fun situation. Games are universal way of entertainment because they do not require specific language, or skills

I think that makes me laugh because the language or there are culture are different, sometimes people say something in the show you will get it immediately. If you translate different countries jokes in English it may not funny anymore. Here I don’t have any jokes to share, because I don’t read jokes.

It’s also called Americans favorite video. I was die laughing with those video that people post on the show. It’s still a little bit hard for me to understand the Americans jokes such as knock knock jokes, but I always watch the fun video on the YouTube and Chinese website to relax and release stress. It works much better than tell me a joke.

I think that the Americans don’t have that type of humor that we have, we laugh a lot. My dad tell me a lot of jokes and he is very funny, I like the Mexican stand up movies (comedy) they are pretty funny.

ReplyDeleteIt is weird that I can hardly laugh when I am alone. When I saw a joke alone, I could not laugh, but when I read the same one with other people, I will easily laugh. It’s weird, but that’s also a reason why I really need a friend. My parents and friends can easily make me laugh by doing some funny actions and reading me some nice jokes. I always like to listen to jokes. I think that has more fun.

Jokes which based on the language or the culture itself is hard to understand for people from another country. However, I think other jokes are easy to understand.
I also don't like to tell jokes, so I have no joke to speak. But watching some variety shows can make me happy. I think variety shows are more interesting than jokes. And in this era of our lives, watching TV shows and watching mobile phones are the things that make us happy. So there are very few people who like to listen to jokes. However, we want to listen to jokes when we don’t have TV before. And ghost stories, but I still like those scary stories.

mean. To understand jokes, it depends on the cultures of the jokes. For example, there are
many jokes in English that would make everyone who speak English laugh. However, listening
as a perspective of a foreigner, they would not understand what the meaning actually is.
There are a lot of jokes to make fun of someone not as a rude way, but its so hard to explain like we use a lot of similar word while we are talking the country we usually use English to pronounce the country for example if you want to say i wanna go to Chile and there is two meaning of this word "Chile' first is country and second meaning is i want to punch you, so if you say i wanna go to Chile in korean people will say oh, you want punch me? and makes fun of he or she, there is a lot of funny jokes in korea but unfortunately i don't know how to explain with using english.

Here is a joke：One woman took an important exam, made an appointment for the hotel's wake-up call but she oversleep and missed the exam the next day. ReplyDeleteI have heard a lot of jokes in my life, and some of them is really funny. But sometimes the jokes have limit interesting due to the culture and language different. Nowadays, there are more than 200 countries and more than 5000 languages in the world, in some big countries their language are even different in different area of the same countries. And that led to sometimes the joke is funny in my culture, but others. There is a real example happened on me is when i going to watch a movie in the United States, some of sentence make all of other people, but even i can understand what it is talking about but i still cannot get the laugh point.

One of my friend told me that one time he came to America, and at that time his English was not that good and then he saw a rat in the room of the hotel and he screamed and give a call to the hotel and asked them "Do you know Tom and Jerry” Hotel server：“yes sir, what can I help?" then my friend said：“jerry is here!"
ReplyDeleteIn now days, something in our daily life is pretty harmful to our environment, like plastic and wooden stuffs（because its need to cut a lot of trees), so for save our environment, we needs to use some thing reusable, for example, use fabric bags instead of plastic bags, use chopsticks and furnitures made by recycled materials, etc.
