- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
We can do to protect the environment is don't use much vehicle, walk by yourself, do more exercise! Plant more trees or flowers they may produce hydrogen and take the carbon dioxide away. Use less plastic bag, you can bring a small bag with you, every time you buy stuff you can put in there.
ReplyDeleteEarth is a very big family.We need to protect it. First, We can protect the enviroment, such as:Plant more tress, always walk to go to work, decrese the factory pollution. The air pollution is very serious now. The pollution come from ourselves, so we can fix this problem too. We only need to attention our behiever， and we don't destroy the enviroment. I think the Earth will become better.

I meant, even though the Earth will not be destroyed any soon like 100 years but it will happens sometimes in the future. we are not going to suffer it but the after generations will.
ReplyDeleteProtecting environment is our responsibility. Our great nature gives us a lot, but we always take and give all the wastes back to nature. This is such a bad behavior! We should try our best to save the environment. For example, ride bicycle instead of driving, take more public transportation, also like save water etc. All in all, we need to protect our mother nature. Otherwise, the Earth can't feed this bunch of people.

We have to do some changes to protect the environment, if we need to go to the destination is very short, it is recommended to walk or ride a bike, do not need to drive to reach. Do not eat any snack bags and sort the garbage. Plant trees and reduce the number of trees. In order to maintain the ecological environment, reduce the hunting of rare animals. Earth's temperature is rising, we need to reduce the use of gasoline and other fuels, we need to find alternatives to gasoline energy as soon as possible to reduce pollution emissions. The discharge of the plant must be strictly in accordance with the requirements. Earth is where we live, and protecting the earth is our responsibility.

We only got one earth, it's the only home that human have. We need to take care of it. The earth is getting worse and worse, it's because the air pollution and water pollution, also we are using our energy of the world. We can do something to take care of world. We can use recycle things, don't waste water, don't let the factory get dirty water and air out. There's a lot things can do. Let's protect our own home!
ReplyDeleteSome people say:don't drive car. We can't stop driving car just like we can't live without water. That is not the right way to protect earth, it's more like a joke: walking is more suitable than driving a car. Let's make a question:" Do you prefer to walk than drive for a long road?" hah? You can't answer that. The things you can't even answer will not be the problem of pollution. In my own view, we need to create some things can substitute for the things which can cause the environment problems; like vehicles, kitchen supplies, and something else. I know it's hard to do, and it is a challenge for human. But we should let our live going as possible to be less-pollution. Maybe someday it could all be real that We can all understand how important to save our planet and really do it.
ReplyDeleteEarth is our home, and is our responsibility to take care of it. As you said, lately we have been doing a really bad job about taking care of earth. We are polluting the earth, cutting trees and killing all kinds of life. To stop this we just need to do the reverse. We need to stop all of this, like this we will be able to make this a better place for our children, grandchildren and descendants.
ReplyDeleteThere are more than 7 billion people living on the earth, a single person to protect the environment is useless. We need a united together. At the same time one day I think it is not enough, people need every moment for the sake of the earth. In the development of the same time, do not forget the natural.

ReplyDeleteJust as everyone posted, we can do a lot of things just by ourself to protect the earth: try not to use vehicles, not leave trash on the ground. But is one people really enough? Obviously not. Protecting earth is the duty for everyone that's living on this unique planet for us. One earth day isn't enough for us, in other words, everyday should be earth day. People should help to protect the environment every moment we could possibily do. For earth day, we can spread the idea of protecting the earth. Ignorance of protecting this beautiful and unique planet is the major reason why most people dont protect it.
ReplyDeleteThe cerulean planet Earth is the only home for human beings.Therefore,if we lose the Earth,we will become homeless.We are supposed to do something to protect the Earth.In the wake of desertification spread,the fresh water is decreasing.It causes the sand storm like Beijing as well.As a student,we can't stop the desertification spread,but we can reduce the rate of it ，like planting the tree and not stepping on the lawn in order to keep the green area.In addition,before leaving your room,switch off something that needs electricity to work. I am a bit categoric that our planet will be better if we try our best to save and protect the environment and resource on Earth

ReplyDeleteThe earth is human's homeland. It's a beautiful and mysterious planet. People hurt our own home, the earth, so much. Lots of factories are created. And the human activities create lots of pollution. The pollution is a huge problem for all humans. There are some ways to solve the pollution problem. First, we can plant more trees and built the green cities. It is necessary to stop cutting so many trees with the unnecessary reason. Second, the school should tell the student how to protect our earth. We can make the earth better and better.
ReplyDeleteEarth is our home, based on the space technology now, we still can't do the transportation between two planets in a useful way, and also we still can't find a planet just like Earth. For now, Earth is the only place to let us to live. We really to protect it, and that's why we have " Earth Day". In order to save the planet, humans can't produce pollution anymore, but that impossible to achieve now, and also that's what governments should do. What we can do now is to try to produce less pollution than before, like go to school on foot. Someone says we should Just go anywhere on foot, but unfortunately, it's still impossible for most of the people to do so. In my opinion, the best way is to use public transportation more. That can produce less pollution, in the same time, you can save money from this. It's good for anyone.

(We may find other planets billion years later, but now, earth is the only one we have) The problem is, the earth, our home is dying, because of us! People want higher technology, so we make more factory; people yearn for high quality life, so some people waste a lot of food or something. We need to make something different, we need to do something, even if it just a little thing, like use our own water bottle instead of by the water or drinks, if we can go somewhere on foot, don't use the car, remember to recycle the plastic or paper... Ever body do a little bit, the world will be better.

They thought that Mars could serve as the second human settlements after the earth's resources were exhausted.However, there is still no harm to the earth on Mars. This leads to the possibility of Mars becoming second earth. Scientists have to find other planets. So the environment on Earth may be the only environment in the universe suitable for human habitation.So we should protect the earth environment. Protecting the earth is actually protecting ourselves.

We can save the earth from a detail like close the faucet or close the light before you left home in the morning. In fact many significant natural disasters are make from people like the tsunami. We can help our earth by saving trees, water, and doing recycle... We can plant more trees or use less paper; pay attention to how to use water, do not waste it; walk of take bus to work or school and go everywhere you can; recycle can help reduce pollution just by putting that soda can in a different bin... there are to many ways to help our earth, the little things can make a big difference.

April 22th is the "Earth Day". In this day, some of people encourage others to learn how to make our home earth better. First, we should stop wasting energy and food in our life. For example, we should use the water carefully when we are taking a shower. Second, We also should encourage others to save the energy. We can tell our parents to use the newer and cleaner energy like electric car.

ReplyDeleteEarth is the only home we have. We should try our best to protect it. As we can see now, a lot people don't cherish it. We will lose our home some day, if we keep damaging it. But there are many things that we can do to protect it. We should start from ourselves, and start to do small things. Such as instead of driving you can walk, turn off the lights whenever you leave a room, and use bottles which can be using for a couple years. There are a lot of things we can do, even if you just pick up garbage on the ground. It will make our home a lot better. Everyone has the obligation to protect our only home.

There is a home for every human, that is Earth. Now it seems we didn't do a good job on it. Lots of environmental problems are coming. Such as Climate change and super storms. For solving these problems, we all can contribute our power. We can use the reusable container instead of the One-time container. We can also decrease the unnecessary need of the power. Such as turn light off when we leave. Finally, the earth is the only home we have. Please protect it!
There is a lot to do for our planet as individual. Instead of personal transportation, i could use public transportation more. Tail gas is one of the main reason that cause global warming. If more people take public transportation, it can really slow down global warming. Plastic bottle is another thing that is hurting our earth. It's hard to recycle, it will have some negative influence on earth after process. So I should use reused conditioner instead plastic bottle.

Such as human activity, people destroy the forest and throw the trash everywhere. Otherwise, industry releases toxic air or dirty water result in air pollution and water pollution. Those activities will mutiply lots of pressure to the earth. The most obvious proof is that ice is melting. That is, global warming is increasingly increase result from all kind of pollution and human activities.

ReplyDeleteAs individuals, we can do less driving, travel by plane, play video games or sports at home to maintain life. We need to reduce air conditioning and heating, so use our mind to heating or cooling. We don't throw rubbish everywhere, rubbish should be put into the recycle bin. Eat less meat, reduce carbon emissions, pay attention to save water, do not waste water resources.
ReplyDeleteFor us we can do a lot of thing to protect our planet. The simplest thing is plant more trees. Trees can create oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide that make our air better. Another thing we can do is use more recycled materials like put paper in recycle or use your own bottle instead of buy the bottle of water. And also we can drive less and take public transportation more, that also can protect our environment
ReplyDeleteWe should protect earth from some bad things. If we do not protect the planet, the damage we will receive. But I do not know if it is right to limit human behavior with the intent of protecting the planet. For example, it limits the use of GMOs. If GMOs are banned, there are at least 2 million people who die from hunger in the developing world for one year. There is no evidence that GMOs have a negative effect on humans. The same is true for MSG. I have been using MSG for decades, but there have been no victims of MSG. Rather, doctors recommend MSG intake for diabetes prevention. I am in favor of environmental protection, but I really hate to face people who are polarized in environmental protection. Some polarists say chemical products should also be banned. But if chemical products are banned, they are likely to die without even being in an incubator. If you get the benefits of chemical products, they should not at least do that. Finally, I agree with the protection of the earth, but I oppose the overprotection.

ReplyDeleteNowadays, human have a big challenge about claim change. Claim Chang is a really serious issue. That results are Global warming and sea level rise. So that means some island will disappear. This is time to let human know that they need to save themselves and the earth. That is not difficult, just start in small ways. for example, the water can be recycled. When can save the water which was used by washing vegetables. Earth is our home, let realize that it is time to save our home.
In order to protect our planet, I think the most important thing is to build a nice environment and community, the perfect ecosystem. Firstly, we have to solve the world garbage and to make more green. Second, we have to educate people and or offspring to save Earth, our home. For the first solution, appealing people to saving water, cultivate more trees. For the second solution, underusing the car which seriously polluted the air. So these are my individual solutions.

ReplyDeleteTo protect the earth we shouldn't use staff that can't be renewable, use more the bike and public transports. Turn off the lights if you are not using it, the hot water use it not for a long time... and use cars with part of the motor that uses energy.

In the spirit of Earth Day. We can do a lot of things to the earth, like saving animals, using less gas, doing more activities to let people know. In order to save the planet, we better do what we can do to make the earth better. My dad is trying to walk to his company, instead of driving.
During the earth day. We can do a lot to keep earth healthy. People always drive car to school, and almost everyone have a car, it will give a lot pollution to the earth so if we drive less car and ride more bick earth will become better. On that day we use less electricity, and try to use sunlight. Stop throw trash in the river and stop the factory, that can reduce water pollution.

I think we should plant more trees and use less plastic bag and bottle, because is very bad thing for our environment, plastic is take hundred of year to get away it, it also very bad for ground around you, killed animal and planet. We can't live by ourselves, we need live with all of thing in this planet, like animal and planet, Earth make us become a big family have different life, we need respect and love each other. Earth is our home, who want destroy their home? So, we need protect our home, make our home better.
