ReplyDeleteThanks TA gives us a chance to practice English during the ELL Lab. It's very helpful because we can solve our problem in language learning immediately. I have never seen such helpful class in China because we always focus on test. We didn't learn English for conversation, instead we learn it just for “good grade”. In ELL Lab we practice language skills a lot. Ms Englund correct our common mistakes like run on sentence, tense consistency and dubbed verbs.

ReplyDeleteGenerally I study right after school. I do not like studying at night. I love listening music when I am doing homework or studying for an exam. Music makes me happy even I am stuyding at that time. Sometimes I drink tea while I am studying. Basically I study maximum 2 hours per day. I do not like giving breaks many time. So when i start studying it should be finish in 2 hours. I should finish it as soon as possible!

ReplyDeleteWhen I study I usually like to do it alone, when I'm with people is hard to study, but if is something that I don't really understand, I like to study with people, I never go to the library, I do it in my room, I like it to do it with music and taking some breaks, for example study 20 mins and then a break, talking about study hours I don't really care, sometimes night or evening, is just when I feel better to study. If I have soda and some chips I will enjoy it more! But the problem that I have is that I'm not really organized so sometimes I forget everything. It depends of the day I study more or less!

ReplyDeleteI am a lazy person, always forget somethings important and always like to do my homework when their is only a few minutes to the due. So I think the best place is in the school where there are so many people doing the same work with me, and another good place for me is anywhere when there is a few minutes to the due. And if I am in a quiet place and there is a teacher or my parent can remind me to study, I will study very efficiently.
I like to study alone in my room. Study in my room can make me focus on the homework, I always study after school but I also study in school. I have study halls at school day and I will so some homework. I usually study at seven or eight o'clock. It is the quiet study hour. I will listen to music when I study. I don't like to eat when I'm study but I will drink water. If there are tests and quiz, I will study longer. I will do my homework and this is all the study.

ReplyDeleteActually, the way that I study changed a lot since I came to the U.S. In China, the only two places I went everyday on weekdays are school and home. I always went home immidiently to do my homework after school or I would not have time to do extra exercise. However, in the U.S., I don't go back to the dorm right away after school. Instead, I usually go to the library and spend almost the whole afternoon there until the librarian asks me to leave. Why? Because I am a person who love sleeping and it causes that I am easily attracted by bed. If I do my homework at dorm just next to my bed, I will fall asleep. Personally, I prefer doing my homework and some extra English exercise in the afternoon and preparing for the classes or tests next day at night. The reason I do it is that I think it 's better for me to memorize schoolwork at night than afternoon and that is what I need to do to prepare for classes and review for tests. To be honest, I think there are still many defects of the way that I study now. For example, I usually have one hour left after I return to the dorm in the afternoon and what I usually do is watching cartoons or playing chess to relax myself after schoolwork. I should try to spend this hour on listening to some English songs to improve my listening skills rather than watch cartoons and learn a lot of Japanese.
ReplyDeleteI usually study right after friend in the library or study center. When I study or doing homework, I always put music on. If there are some tricky math question, I will put my earbud away and focus on my homework. I don't really care study alone or with some friend. If I'm in library, and I have some question on homework. I will go ask some people near by me even I don't know them. Then maybe can start be friend. I won't eat anything when I'm studying.
ReplyDeleteI usually study with my dorm's fiends in the lounge while we listening to music in our earphones and we help each other's. If we study like that we can ask the girls for help or they can teach us the things we don't understand. Sometimes I do my homework in my ELL Lab but I don't usually study there because I can't focus on my books. Most of the time I do my homework after school, during study hours ;because I am in track and I can't do homework after school at 2:00 or 3:00 pm. I finish my homework at 22:00pm. I know it is so late but I lose time talking to my friends. I start working at 7:30 pm everyday. So I study approximately 3 hours. I don't eat while I am working, it is disgusting if you make a mess in your project or homework.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I'd like to study in a quiet environment like in a library or in my room. Because a quiet environment can make me be absorbed. Howeve, like in school study hall, I could not study, because there are lots of people around me, that makes me want to play video games. I always have plan for whole day, like when to study and when to play. And also a quiet environment could make me be efficient.

I always study at home, because I don't focus on studying, if there are some people around me. So, I prefer to study alone. Through this semester, i normally study on the desk at home. Sometimes, if I come home late, I always study during dinner time. I change my study time day by day. It depends on what am I doing after school. For instance, I have sports to do, I will study in ELL Lab or study center. I like to listen to music while studying, because music will make me focus on homework. I think music will make me excited to do anything. I don't like eating or drinking while I'm studying, because I have to clean my hands after I am eating, I just want to finish study first. So, if I eat while I'm studying, then I won't do very well. I'm not sure how much am i studying everyday. It depends on my mood. For example, if I failed on my math quiz, I will spend more time to study on that. But if I did well on my quiz or it's just a normal day, I won't study a lot then.
I'm usually study alone, in my room. I don't like that someone is talking near when I studying. I like to study during evening study hours, But If I have more homework to do then normal day, I start to study after school. I usually study on the desk because My laptop is on desk. I try to study always same time but It is depend on how many homework to do. And usually I finishing my homework in 2hours.

ReplyDeleteNowadays, the studying environment plays an important impact in our life. For me, I love studying in the quiet place because I can't focus on my study if it is too noisy or listening to the music. My learning efficiency will be very low. I often study in Shanghai Library which is very big and close to my house when I was in China because the studying condition is very good. Not only it is so quiet but also you will see many hardworking people there. These people make me feel that I have to study hard because they will be my competitors in the future and I can't lose to them. Otherwise, you can find the books and get the resources easily there. These things let me study very effectively and efficiently. Every day after school, I went to the library and did some studies. But my learning method changed when I came to Saco. Saco doesn't have big public library and the library of TA closes very early. It is not quiet enough too because Golden Edge takes place there every day. So my room of my homestay family is the only place for me to study except ELL Lab. To be honest, I hate studying at home because many things will distract me from studying such as TV and my bed. But I have no choice. Although the condition is not very good, I still spend plenty of time on study every day. In the afternoon, I do the homework for today. And after supper, I will take the online TOEFL class. Before sleeping, I always do some reviews and recite the new vocabularies that I learned on that day. I believe that practice makes perfect! I will keep studying hard!
I usually study in my room. I study at a desk. I usually study after dinner.If I have a quiz next day, I will study after school and review after dinner or do some exercise. I always do my homework or study alone. I think that is better than study with a group. I usually talk about the problems of the homework with my classmates or my friends. We will do together and save the question and help each other.I don't listen to music during studying, I think is not a good way to study. It doesn't make you pay attention to the studying. I will listen to music after studying and take a rest. I also play games after studying. I am drinking and eating while studying. I usually take a review before quiz or test. In normal days I just do my homework and watch movies or play games. This is my study habits.
ReplyDeleteI study very differently than I used to study in Spain. In Spain I had much more things to study than here. Here at TA I work alone, but sometimes when I have homework or something to study in common with another person I like to study with people. In my room I can not concentrate so much during the day because of the noise or because of the people around my room. So I study most of the time at night. When I study with people I like to study in the hall because we have more space and also we don't annoy anyone. I don't have so much to study here because it is easier. I usually study in study hours but I like to do the homework before study hours or in ELL Lab. In Spain I made a schedule for after school but here I don't have any schedule. Every day is different. When I have a lot to do, I make a schedule if not I don't make a schedule. I study most of the time quietly so Icahn concentrate better. I usually drink while studying because it keeps to my concentration. As I said before, here at TA I don't study much between two and three hours after school and in Spain I used to study six to five hours.
ReplyDeleteI usually study at home in my room or maybe in the dining room. Sometimes on weekends I do my homework in the dorms with my friends because we can help each other not only with the subject also with the language if we don't understand something. I usually study with chill music, but it depends on what type of homework I'm doing. Also sometimes I do my homework in ELL Lab or in study hall. I like to do it in ELL Lab because the teachers can help me, for example with essays and that is great. I usually do my homework after the gym when I come back home like at 5:00pm. But many times I amuse talking with my friends or with my phone looking to social pages. So I used to start my homework a little bit later. I don't usually eat while I'm studying because it distract me and also I don't want my works to get dirty.

I can study almost in every places, but it's up to how do I feel in that time. Usually I do my homework in the school because I feel lazy when I come home. But some time after dinner, I feel extremely good than I will finish my homework in my room nice and easy. When I do my homework I always listen to the music except math because listening music will disturb when I thinking math problems.
The most wonderful place where I did my homework is in Thailand. I lived in a hotel where locates nearby the beach. I felt how cool it is when wind come and heard the voice of wave flapping sand.
In the weekends, I do my homework I the caffe because I love the leisure feeling. But I think finishing homework in the school is the most efficient way because I can’t be disturbed.
I usually study when I have study hours in the dorm. While I'm studying I like to listen to music. Music helps me to study. I love to eat when I'm doing homework, but if I'm starting to eat I make a break for food. I can't eat and do homework. Also I always do all by my own. I can't study with someone, because I will be entreating all the time. Usually I study in my room or in hall. I like to do my studying in ELLLAB. It's good oportuniti to have more time to study. I spend bigger part of LAB for my homework in Ukraine. In the dorm I spend two-three hours for studying with breaks.
ReplyDeleteI study during study hours in my room.I usually study alone but when I have some trouble with math homework I always call my friend from dorm. I used to started my work around 9 pm, but last few weeks I had to start at 7.30 pm. It's much better for me, because I got more free time then and I am not too tired. Sometimes I really need listen to music when I am studying or doing my homework but it probably depends which subject I study.Many people can't eat when they're studying, but I need it. The best thing is when I have coffee from Starbucks. Sometime my phone really bother me so I need it put far away from me. I can say that I have really good memory so I don't have to study so often , but it really depends how many quizzes I have in a week. If I study,it takes around one hour.
ReplyDeleteI usually study in my room in the dorm I like studying alone because then I can concentrate better for work.Sometimes it is hard to share room with another person when you need to study but it can be good too for example when you need to do some project,you can work with your roomate!I normally study during study hours but some days I want to do my homework right after school and then I have free time for rest of the day!It is pretty cool.Most of the time I study in the bed it is comfortable for me and sometimes I can listen to music when I study,it makes more relaxed.Studying takes about an hour or hour and half of my day so it is not that bad and I have also ELL Lab where I can do the rest of my homework anyways.
ReplyDeleteMost of time, I like to work alone. When I work alone, I can focus on study easily. I usually study in my room. There is a good place for studying. I always study during evening hour because I have some clubs after school. I always study at the same time besides I have a lot of homework to do. If I have a lot of homework to do, I will start study after school. I like to listen to music while studying. Especially slow music. I like to drink green tea while studying. I usually spend three hours for studying every day.

ReplyDeleteI always study alone and I don’t like studying with other people. I think that I need to have a place to study in silence such as Library, Study Hall and so on. It makes me focus on studying or doing my homework and other people cannot interrupt me. I really like library. There are many books and students who are very quiet to read books in the library. When I finish my homework, I always look around some books. I can enrich much knowledge from books. I might bring one or two books to the dorm. Sometimes, I will have much homework after school and maybe I have a big pressure to make me feel tired. Therefore, listening to music is a very good choice and it makes me relaxing. I also have very good mood to study perfectly. I will study at the same time. I often get ready to make a regular plan. I don’t want to eat or drink something when I’m hard working to study. I need to concentrate my thinking that improves learning efficiency and I won’t waste time. I often spend around an hour doing my homework.
For my study, i would like to study by myself cause i think that will be much more efficient than study with someone else. When you study with someone, you will easily chatting with them and then you cannot study at all. I love to study at a desk. That is no reason why I can study somewhere else. To study at the dest is the prefect chose for me. I don’t have limit time for my study, in other word, I like to study whenever i want. When I am studying, i will not think any other else but study, this is my style. For instant, I like to study quietly. With no noise and no network. However, it is hard to do that. So, I will listen to music when I study. I don’t like to eat during my study hours, the food will interrupt my opinion and ideas. I don’t study pretty much, maybe 3 hours per day, i mean the homework time. So, this is my study habit.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to study alone. When I study with other person I can’t study because , he/she divert me. I always study in my room and alone. I don’t want to people disturbing me that’s why my room is the best place to study. Sometimes I go after school study center but it is not useful to me because I like to study alone and we have quite study hours every night at 7pm to 9pm. I’m lucky that my roommates like to study with other person so they always go to the lounge or somewhere to study. My study hours not always the same. Sometimes I study after school on week days or at the study hours. But at the weekend I always study on Sundays because, I get ready myself to school. Also I can not study in a loudly room, I always study quietly. If I listening music during study I can not focus my study. Generally I never eat when I’m studying. Finally, I don’t have any specific study hours. It depends which subject I study. For example; if I study for Biology I need to study 2-3 hours, but if I study for German I need just 30 min. or 1 hour.
ReplyDeleteEveryone in this word has their own hobbit, such as eating hobbit, sleeping hobbit, and Study hobbit. I would study at everywhere as long as it is quite. Some people told me that they like to study or to do homework with their music on. I love music and I sing them too. But I got to say I do not like listening to music while I'm studying. The music bothers me and keep me away from things I'm trying to get. However I will sit in my seat for hours once I got started. I will forget everything while I'm doing homework or studying. However, I will forget everything will I am on my games. It sounds weird, but it actually happens to me. I think I will be absorbed in everything I do. It is good when I am doing right things, but it is also bad when I am not.
ReplyDeleteEveryone have different habits during they are studying. For me, I really prefer to study alone. Someone think if they meet some questions which they can't solve, they can ask people help. I agree, this is one of advantage for study together. But I am a person who hard to concentrate on my work, if someone study with me, I usually talk to him or her, so I prefer to studying alone. If I meet some questions, I will mark them and ask someone later. I like study on the table, and the environment have to be good. For example, the table is clean, nothing on the table beside the thing I have to use,and it has to be quiet, because I have to concentrate on, so that is the really why I never do my homework in my room,because my roommates are usually make some noise. I like drink something when I am doing my homework, but I don't like to eat something. Talk about some habit when I am doing my homework. I like touch my hair, and I usually do the easy work first, put the hard one at the end.
ReplyDeleteI don't study except there is a quiz or test. I just do homework to improve my grade. I put the music when I am doing the homework, the music is always hype songs. I usually do my homework in Jefferson's room. I ask them questions if I don't know how to do it. The reason I do my homework in their room is they also like the song those I like to listen to. All of us don't do homework during the day time. We do homework together at night. Actually I need to study to improve my grades because i hate after school study center.
ReplyDeleteBasically, I prefer studying by myself because I can focus on my homework,projects, or reading. I usually study on my table at my room. I like to listen the music when I do science homework and math homework. I don’t like to listen the music when I do my English homework and Germany homework. Usually, I study after having dinner, so it is around 8 pm. I check my schedule and step by step to do my homework. On Gold Day, I usually do my Germany homework first because I have Germany class on Gold day; I do Ell homework after doing Germany homework; Math homework is the last homework. And then, I take a shower to relax. After that, I do some Toefl practice, like listening part or reading part. I spend some time remembering some vocabulary. I seldom eat or drink, except water, when I am studying because I always study at night. If I have food at night, I will gain weight, and I don’t want to gain weight. Generally, I start studying at 8pm, and I go to bed at midnight.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to study by myself in my room. I like to listen to the music while doing my homework, it helps me to be more concentrated. Usually homework take about an hour. My homework start at 9:00PM and end at 10:00PM.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, study is a boring thing. I really don't like boring, but I have to study. So, I always try to make my study interesting. For example, I often study in the same place which I choose hard, have the same drink(it is always hot milk or tea because they make me feel calm and peaceful.) and the same pen. I know it is a little bit strange, but it is truth. Those things make me have a lot of energy and patience to work. I am a person who really likes quiet. Base on that, I prefer to study quietly. However, there are always some sounds that disturb me when I can't be calm. At that time, I usually wear earphones with some peaceful music like light music, blues and jazz. Well, I am also a person who has procrastination. So, I always study in the evening, sometimes late at night. Finally, I have a good efficiency most of the time.

Most of you prefer to study alone, almost all of you don't eat while you study, and some listen to music while others prefer quiet while studying. The amount of studying differs a lot! ReplyDeleteWhen I am study, I like work alone. Because it’s quiet, if anybody work together that is noisy. And I also like study in the room, that’s quiet that make me pay more attention. Sometimes I want study in school, if homework is difficult or confuse. On the other hand, if work is easy, I will study after school and I am doing my homework late. Sometimes I do my homework while listening music and I rarely eat snacks or drinks when I am studying. I do my homework slowly and carefully so that I will spend long time.
ReplyDeleteStudy is ubiquitous even I don’t like to study, but study is good. I have to study because now is a good age to study. Everyone they own way to study. I also have some hobby on study. I prefer study by myself in my room. That’s a good way for me because that’s more quiet. I think study alone is good for me. I always look around when someone next me. I drink water all the time during my study time. Sometimes I stay up late to study, but I can’t get up early. I also have a good habit for study. When I decide to study, I always study all through that time until to I achieve all the work.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to do my homework alone, because i can focus on my work on 100%. If i have time i would like to go to Starbucks, take some cold green tea, put my headphones and doing my thing. Usually i do my homework on the bed because i can relax, but if i need to prepare for test or quiz i try to sit at the desk. In most of my time i do homework after practices, its around 9 pm. I cant do my homework without my music, because i just cant focus on work without it. I prefer to drink some tea or coffee when i do my homework. Usually i spend not more than 1 hour on homework everyday.
ReplyDeleteI like to stidy alone because I feel comfortable when I stay in a place alone without noise. Studying with group or friends is hard for me to focus on what I'm doing. The second reason is I want a private space. I don't like people stay too close to me. If someone sits beside me. I will pay attention on him all the time. So I don't have time to do my work. That's not efficient. Basically I do math and science homework first because it's simple. I don't have to think much about it. Bell and history is much harder for me. I have a bad habit on homework is I never write down the homework. That makes me forget homework sometimes. So I asked students all over our dorm what is homework today.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion,study alone is better than study with other people.I think study by myself,I feel comfortable and free.Nobody can disturb me.So I can thinking well and finish homework faster than with other people.I like to do my homework with music,because I think it will let me feel so relax that I can do it better than without.In TA,I think study in the library is best because there is very quiet and warm.Nobody can disturb me.Even I can get some books to read.I think the best study time is morning because I think I keep a so cool head that I can do anything best.
