Environmental Protection
James Lovelock once said, "Sadly, it's much easier to create a desert than a forest." Currently, it's quite difficult to repair the seriously deteriorating environment, which has aroused deep concern. I firmly believe that it's everybody's responsibility to save the earth and ourselves.
Firstly, it's extremely necessary for us to recycle materials. Only in this way can our natural resources last longer. For instance, I’m a member of the Environment Club. Recently, my club has been working on a project in order to improve the recycling rates at school. With the help of plenty of teachers and students, we made a map of the school to find out the inventoried current locations of recycle bins. We also discussed where more recycle bins ought to be along with trash cans. Ultimately, in our joint efforts, we added more recycle bins on campus. For instance, we added three more large brown recycle bins in the gym for the reason that we found out that plenty of students preferred to drink beverages after sports. Some of them complained that they didn’t know where to place the empty bottles although they wanted to recycle them. After adding these recycle bins, they can protect the environment. I’m proud of myself since I’m making contributions to the environmental protection!
Secondly, the government ought to spend more money on improving public transport. For instance, we'd better not travel by car unless it's quite necessary for the reason that the increase of private cars has led to more and more serious air pollution, such as carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, sulfur dioxide, etc. In addition, driving can result in traffic jam, especially in the rush hour. During the rush hour, the load on the road can be increased and the normal service life of the road can be reduced greatly. Based on the above reasons, it's quite necessary for us to choose public transport. For instance, we'd better walk or ride a bicycle if we don’t go far away. It not only benefits the environmental protection but also conduces to physical fitness.
In general, we, as individuals, ought to try our best to take care of our home, the earth. Just imagine how bright the future would be if only we devote ourselves to solving environmental problems.
What I think we should do is to make sure we clean he city every first Saturday or Sunday of the month and make a lot of people attend because it's a must to keep the country clean and also for our own good.

DeleteThe best way to save our planet is to clean and not to spoil nor litter. But the problem is, one person or a few people cannot actually do anything. We should educate them how important the environment is, how it affects us. Littering is bad, seeing people litter is even worse. We should tell them to pick up or we should pick it up. Moreover, most of the diseases are from the trash and dirty places. We should keep the planet as good as we keep our own lives.

DeleteIt is definitely a huge problem right now. Everyone has the duty to protect out mother planet. Although it seems hard to change anything just by ourselves, it is still great if we start from littlest things. For example, we shouldn't throw trash anywhere. And also, we should try not to by products that have to be made by killing endangered species. What's more, we should save papers because woods are important for the Earth. It's possible to change the situation in a good way if everyone makes effort.
ReplyDeleteI read a news that is scientists believe the earth has three billion years of life left recently. I am so worry about it. Earth is our only home, we should take care of it. What can we do for our home?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, we should Recycle Cans, Bottles at home or school, it can reduce pollution. Secondly, we should ride our bike or walk to school. Too many cars cause a lot of air pollution. Next, we should save paper. When we do homework, we should use both sides of a paper.

Earth day is a great day. Everyone has duty to protect Earth because Earth is our mother planet. We can do a little thing to protect our environment. For example, we can turn off the light when you leave. I see some people alway open the light when they leave. if we see that we can help them to turn off the light. What’s more, we shouldn’t throw trash anywhere. Some trash is hard to resolve in the earth, and it maybe takes a long time to resolve it. If we can throw trash in the trash can, and the Earth will become clear and more beautiful.

ReplyDeleteProtecting our home is definitely in a hurry. For " Earth Day", we turn down the lights for an hour. It doesn't seem a lot of stuffs. But if everybody does " an hour shut down", it would improve a lot.
So what I think is to turn the lights down as much as we could in our daily life.

If we don't start to saving our planet, it will be destroyed in a couple of years. While you do a s,all part of cleaning it's a lot to the planet because it's less the years that earth can be still be alive. We can start separting the food from tras, cans . Recycling, using solar cars, solar lights, less pollution, take care if the water, trees, plants, environment, everything you do for the planet is worth it.
ReplyDeleteEarth Day is a good day for telling people that we have to protect the earth. It is everyone's responsibility to protect the earth. The earth is being destroyed everyday. I think what we have to do is pick up the garbage that you can see everywhere. Some garbage can be recycled so we don't have to get new resources from the earth. Don't pollute the water, this is very important. We get water everyday so we can't put garbage in the river. We can plant more trees which would make air fresher and this would give more animals a place to live.
ReplyDeleteThis year marks the 46th year of Earth Day, it calls to people focused on environmental issues. Definitely, the earth environment affects our life, people would try to do something to protect the earth. And there are a brunch of things we can do for this beautiful planet we call home. We can planting a tree to preserve our planet. Trees remove this CO2, along with producing oxygen, giving us shade , and providing habitat for birds. Ride bike to work or school. Break free from the confines of cars and feel the breeze on skin by biking to and from work or school when the sun is out. Getting a little exercise while reducing car emissions and beating rush hour traffic. Moreover, we can save paper using and make sure use both side of paper. One of the major material to produce paper is wood, save paper and also save the living trees.

Nowadays, waste is the main idea hurt the earth. People waste water, wast oil, waste many things. The first thing that how to solve the problem is not raise some activities, it is to think about what do we want the earth looks like and we have to do something can help her! I am sure that after some activities like saving water, people will still lots of water to take a shower. We have to go into action, we can save our plant from a little thing. Just like the last example, if you take a shower takes 20 minutes usually, you can just usually 15 minutes, the whole week it can save a lot. There are many examples like this in our life, like we can ride a bike to work or to school, it makes you healthier and if there are many cars on the road, it can save your time too!
Many serious things is because of these waste, let the “Earth Day” have its meaning, do thing real as individuals, some small thing either can help your planet.
Earth day is a good day to make people do something for our earth. We live on the earth has a long time ago. Earth's environment changes to worse than before because the human activity. It affects environment becomes bad. Climate change, acid rain. Those are shows to us that we need save environment now. If the environment doesn't change to better. We have to leave the earth. Earth day is a good chance. We can turn off the lights 1 hour. We can by bicycle to the school and stop the Co2 produced. It just little bit thing if everyone do it,it can make a big change. Let us saving earth now.

I think earth healthy just like a like humans health, we both have "heart" but earth has more hot one, We both need water, we both need keep clean and we both hate "fight". Water is the most important thing for any life, so water is "expensive" to. No one like see the trash are in anywhere. So don't throw trash whenever and wherever you want. "No more war please" this sentence I want say to every leader of each country. Someone said " I don't know what will happened during world war three, but there is one thing I know which is, we will use Woden and rock to fight during the world war four.
ReplyDeleteSaving our earth It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities. For one thing,rubbish may cause a lot of pollution. It may pollute the air,the water and the places we live in. For another,it may do harm to people's health. So in our city, rubbish is well dealt with. First,it is sorted. Then old newspapers and glass are recycled. The harmful wastes are buried and the waste water is cleaned before it goes into the river.The government has already made laws against pollution caused by rubbish. But that's not enough. We must all try our best to prevent rubbish from polluting the environment so as to save our city and our living place.

In that day, we can do some activities to saving our home, for example, we can combine some friends to make a group, in that group, we can throw the trash away at some street. In that day, everyone need to turn off their lights in one hour. I belive it can help earth a lot. ReplyDeleteEarth, the planet that we are living. People know that our planet is going worse, but a lot of people don't know why our planet is going worse. Just because of us. So, we have to take some actions to protect it. How? It is an very important problem. If you are only one person, you just can do some little things like turning off the light when you leave. If you are groups that have lots of people, you just can do something like letting other people know the importance of our planet, and ask them to protect our planet together. We just have one planet, it is earth, and it is going worse.

Earth is a home of human, this is the place where we born, and live like a family. However, such a pity that there are some people who betrayed mother Earth because of money- one of the human invention. They cut down all the tree, they poisoned all the source of water and kill all the animals. It caused the unbalanced of the eco system. By this rate, humanity will soon be destroyed by these people act. In addition, with the dangerous of the nuclear weapon. Once the nuclear war happen, their will be nothing but ash because of the stupidity of human. However, there still some way to save the situation: education. Education is the only way that we can save this planet because we have to show how the world is being destroyed and with is right and wrong to protect the environment. By this way, the future generation will know what they need to do and stop the thing that will harm the earth
ReplyDeleteToday there is more and more pollution and the environment is becoming worse and worse. So we have to know how to protect the environment. First, we can stop driving our personal cars. We can go to school or work on foot or by bus. Not only can it protect environment, but also it is good for our health. Second, we are not supposed to drop litter anywhere, we should put them into the trash bin. And it’s best to pick up the litter on the ground when we see them. Third, we should save the paper, the water, the food and so on. Fourth, we should protect the trees and we should plant more trees. I think if everyone does something to protect the environment, our world will be much better.

ReplyDeleteAfter we human appear, the earth is developing consultantlty.Technology of tools, education of people, human 's living enviornment. But all these development is not based on human but earth.
These years, people use lots of to kill the earth to get more treasure anf make themselves more comfortable：Cutting down trees, open up land a lot, industry pollution...earth, human are facing a big problem that one day, the earth will be empty.
It is true that to develop the earth, resources missing from the earth is inevitable. But every time that we get something from the earth, we shoulf first think of the earth environmental ecosystem, second think of protecting the nature environment and ecological diversity. So that we can maintain The harmony between human and nature.
As we know today there are more pollution in our world. The air and water become dirty. How can we protect our environment. I have some suggestions. First I think we should solve the air pollution. We should take the public transportation more. Second, in my opinion we can use some new energy to get the power, such as wind and sun. Finally I think everyone has the duty to protect our world, we can't throw the trash wherever we want. So if we do like this our environment will become better and better.

Also, we should think about future generations on Earth and how it would effect our future. You should also, drive less and turn out the lights in the rooms that you aren't in, and don't waste things. ReplyDeleteEarth is important for human, we need to protect it. In my opinion we can save the world by doing those steps.
First of all the government need to act as a leader for saving the world. We need to cancel the boundary in physically also in our heart, the world should be in an environment that all peace without war. All the country put the environment problem on the first, the scientist no longer inventing the weapon but the technology for changing a better environment.
Not only the government, the people that live in this should help each other too. We can save and change the world by changing ourselves. I have been worked in a shopping mall before, as a staff that respond for the upload the product, I saw all my colleague would never care where the crash go. All they care was how to make more money.
In my opinion, we don’t need to do any big project for our earth because we are just high school students, but we can do something normal and simple. First, we can throw all of our drink cans and paper to recycle boxes and make care that your friends and teachers do these important details, too. Second, we can’t waste water, especially when we wash our hands. Third, we can look up some environmental information from websites, and I think they can help us to know what we should do and can do in the future.

Human searched natural resources from her body in order to improve their life and become more powerful . War was leaving its mark on her . Those way we did , also bring her a lot of diseases . Water pollution , air pollution , global warm . We should protect mother Earth right now ! For example , we can reuse water to save water reassures. We also can plant some trees to reduce carbon dioxide emissions . For me , I always use public transit substitute drive car . In meddle of Shanghai , the traffic jam is very serious, sometimes for several hours will be blocked. So , if I want to visit the middle of Shanghai , I always by subway . ReplyDeleteAs we all know, the earth is our mother, and we are suppose to take care of the earth like we take care of our own biological mothers. However, as the time goes, the technology develops, our environment is getting worse and worse day by day. There are ten main horrible ways we harm our environment. Littering, wasting food, paper, water, electricity, toxic chemicals, improper disposal, car travel, air travel, ignorance. We all make mistakes, from leaving the tap water running while brushing our teeth to tossing dead batteries in the trash, but once we become aware of the harm we are doing, it’s easy to make changes. I used to waste water a lot, and after I recognized how important water means to us, I started to save the water and reduce the waste of water use. However, what one person can do is limited, what people can do is infinity. I believe that if all of us start to take care of our own earth, our environment will get better and better.

Protect Earth
Earth is our home, humans only home. She is just like our amiable mother, take care of us, tolerance us whatever we do to her. But mom will be tired sometimes and she will judge us. So mudslide, sand storm, earthquake, and etc. are happening sometimes. They're the punisher and coming for punishing human treat earth so badly.
We dug holes on earth for exploiting ourselves benefit. We cut down the trees for let more people join and exploiting more quickly. We thought we got a lot of benefit because of this, but it also made the punisher coming sooner. the more we destroy the earth, the quicker they are coming.
London used to have really bad haze in 1950s. They extracted coals and burned them immoderate. They thought they did something super good for humans and pushed the history forward, however they were wrong. The haze and the sulfuric acid mist became the punishers and came to punish them. The haze and the sulfuric acid mist enveloped the whole London and start to attack humans lungs, hearts, and other organ of the body. It made thousands of people died in lung cancer, Bronchitis, bronchial pneumonia, heart disease.
We can’t take things from mom without control or she will get angry and become an adjudicator and make punishers sanction us. We need to fix the problem to make mom happy. Then the punisher will be gone.
We need to plant a tree after we cut down one. It makes the trees don’t become extinct. Trees help humans digestion carbon dioxide and produce oxygen and they become charcoals and coals after they died. Plant more trees also slow down the global warming. It makes the coastline won’t rise up too quick that makes island or island country live longer. Do not exploit without control. Mom likes them and need them sometimes. Driving less car. It makes the carbon dioxide come out less and the global warming will slow down too.
All in all, protect earth is protect ourselves. Earth is our only home and we need to keep it gently. And remember that mom only can live for three billion years of life if we treat her nicely and without accident.
Earth is a tiny planet in the universe. However, it is a huge home for all of us whether we have different skin colors or we are from different countries. It provides all the basic resources for us, but we did not treasure it. Instead, we hurt it in all the different ways like pollution. Now, our earth mom is already scarred by our selfish actions. Today is the mother's day, we need to protect our earth mom. We should save resources from small start, such as water. We can keep the water after we wash hands, because it can be use to flush toilets. As individuals, we can save our beautiful earth mom by ourselves.

You mentioned picking up litter, recycling garbage, conserving water, developing alternative energy, using mass transit and bicycles and feet instead of cars, as well as more profound ideas involving education and changing minds. I think it's important that we all feel we can do something to save our home. Otherwise, we truly are doomed.
ReplyDeleteActually I don't really know the answer for this question, sometimes it just unavoidable. We are getting more and more people, the earth can't afford the population soon. People needs car to drive, needs to cut the tree so they have place to live. If must come out with a plan, I will say we need to decrease the population, but I don't know how.

We should give more spaces to other living things. For me, don't waster water and food. Don't waste paper and boxes. Don't waste water when taking shower. Also, tell other people to save more things. ReplyDeleteGlobal warming is the increase in the world´s temperature observed during the last few centuries. Due to global warming the poles are melting and the water of the ocean is getting closer to some cities in the coast. It may not affect many world citizens however it affects the natural habitat of many animals and it will affect your progeny.
ReplyDeleteEventhough it seems as something impossible to avoid we can make a change, because humans are the cause of global warming. This essay will explain some habits we can start doing to avoid global warming.
Drive less. In developed countries almost every citizen rides in a car at least once a day, we are human beings we can walk, we don´t need to use the car every single day. We can also use public transport, that is a very common habit in countries such as Switzerland, Spain or Singapore however in countries such as Mexico people bearly use the bus or the subway.
Plant a tree. Just one tree can absorv a ton of carbon dioxide and it will also produce oxygen. It is something really easy to do and if for example every single citizen in the US plants a tree there would be 300,000,000 trees more in the country which will help a lot to the enviroment.
Change bulbs. Replacing a traditional bulb for a low power bulb saves more than 45 kg of carbon dioxide per year. If we all make this change in our house the planet will thank us.
Taking this into account if we all do these small changes in our life we would all be contributing to the decrease of global warming. It is a serious issue because as the quote says ¨Only when the last tree is dead and the last river is contaminated humans will realize that we can not eat money ¨
I have read a book about the environment of earth couple month ago. This book tells reader that the environment is becoming worse and worse. A important reason is humans's activities. But I think we have many ways to save our planet. Sometime if we want to go somewhere, we do not have to drive. we could take bike and walk. And also we could reduce the amount of paper we use. For example, when we are taking note on a binder. We could use both sides of paper.
ReplyDeleteWe all want to protect our planet, but we're mostly too busy or too lazy to put up big change that would improve our lifestyle and save the environment. Driving is one of the biggest causes of pollution. If you want to use your car, ask yourself the following question: do I really need my car? Walk or use your bike if the journey is a short one.

In China,the environment situation is serious.Because China has the biggest population in the world,and on the other hand,China is a developing country,therefore,we need more energy, which may cause the environment pollution.

ReplyDeleteAs we can see right now,there are more and more desert coming out,more and more environmental problems occurs.Nowadays,people want to be more developed than past so that a lot of inventions have been created.But things always come with two sides,one positive side,one negative side.Those negative sides of these technologies are the bad influences impact on Earth.For example,global warm,air pollution and water pollution.I think these technologies are necessary,but it should be used as long as we keep the environment in a good situation.To prevent environment getting polluted.We can organize people around the world to plant,set up a holiday such as cleaning city day to pick up the trash around the city.Also we can shut down some extra heavy industries just for making money.In this way,I believe our Earth could become much more safe and be the best planet to live.

ReplyDeleteIn order to protect the environment that we are living in, just recycling is not enough. Recycling does help to keep substances like plastics in check, but we need something more. Technology is our best bet. We need new substances to replace plastic, which does not decays naturally. We need large renewable energy sources. We need technology that can turns deserts green. So in order to keep our Earth green, us students need to study hard to become greats scientists.

Reduce the driving time and try to on foot. Sometime we can see garbage on the floor, road or in the river. We should avoid dropping trash this, and if we see it, been it to the trash can.

ReplyDeleteFor saving our earth we have to put restrictions. We have to recycle materials, stop cutting trees, stop hunting the animals that are close to extinction. People don't get that if they won't take care of our home earth, aliens won't help us . We got to take it to our osn hand maybe it needs some money more force but we got to do it. ReplyDeleteThe Earth day is a historical movement. It shows why we should protect our environment. The answer is pretty simple: The Earth is our only home.
It is very surprised to me that Earth day was created by Americans. Mostly I think the American politicians are so conservative to value our little planet over than their nation's economy.
I'm so glad to see Americans' consistency in environmental protection. That's very motivational for environmental groups in China. As we raise to be the second largest economy, our environment was also badly polluted. We should forget the old saying that environmental protection can hurt the economy because if we lose our blue planet, we will have no economic development to enjoy.
