ReplyDeleteYeah , Homecoming dancing night, so good! So nice! I regret that I did not go to homecoming dancing night last year because I lent my trousers to my good friend who has a target girl, and she would dance with him at that night. Don’t you think I am a good friend! I watched with Billy, Tong, Mark Zhang and Lihua at last year homecoming night, so nobody can stop me to homecoming at this time( I’m sorry, I don’t lend my trousers at this time.........)!!!!
Return to the topic, yeah, my partner is LIHUA!! Please don’t ask me why don’t I ask a girl to become my partner, I think .... Because of some reason...... Umh ....she does not agree .... Never mind! I think if you don’t have girl partner, you just can stay with your male friends, we can stand around a circle and do some street dance.. Cool! What a nice Idea! Actually, it’s so stupid>_<.
Ｉthink high school dance party is so important because I want to take friends with more people, and maybe sometime if you don’t have a girl partner, you will look like a heterogeneous, but don’t worry, heterogeneous are not just yourself!! You can relax yourself from homework, study, workout and computer games, so I just think homecoming is a relaxing method, and revel with your good male friends!
It’s also necessary because old students need a good chance to take friends with new students, and I think new students need the chance to. In normal school days, we can’t meet all new students in same class, so this party becomes very necessary.
Girlfriend is not necessary, but good friends are necessary! Especially for the international students !( If I can find a girlfriend, it’s the best!)

ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance is coming! It’s my first time to go to American high school dances. I am so excited that I keep imagining what the homecoming dance is like every day.
It isn’t my first time to go to school dances. I went to a Halloween dance when I studied in China. However, I found that plenty of Chinese students didn’t know how to dance at all. Some boys were too shy to invite girls to dance. It was such a boring dance that I left before the end of the dance.
Although I used to go to a boring dance, I still look forward to going to TA’s homecoming dance very much.
First and foremost, I believe that we can be more confident when we go to dances and parties. Girls have to learn how to dress up when dances are coming. They can improve their aesthetic abilities by arranging clothes. Imagine when they wear gorgeous dresses and stand in front of boys, they must feel quite confident of themselves. In the meantime, it’s necessary for boys to be brave and confident if they want to invite girls to be their dancing partners. Imagine although a boy is not very handsome, he is very confident of himself, most girls must be moved by his grace. All in all, going to dances and parties is a good chance to become more confident, especially for shy students. The more confident you are, the more possible it is for you to succeed in the future.
What’s more, we can make new friends when we go to dances and parties. Although I have plenty of friends, most of them are girls because I live in the girls’ dormitory. I believe when we dance with boys, we can have a funny chat with them that is quite different from that with girls. We can talk about sports such as soccer, football and volleyball with our dancing partners. In addition, we can also talk with our dancing partners’ friends after dancing. I believe it’s very necessary for girls to make friends with boys because we can learn a lot, such as persevere, courage and tolerance from them.
All in all, I can’t wait to go to the homecoming dance!
In high school, i think school dances and parties are really good for students to know each other. And also people can make new friends in school dance. In my last school, I went to school dance every time. I have already used to school dance. So it dose not matter for me. Because i think school dances and parties are not only way to know each other.

ReplyDeleteI believe high school dance party is important to us because we,as new students, can make new friends in the dance party. And we can relax ourselves in the dance.
Homecoming dance used to be boring to me. I miss the dance last year. But in this year, I want to change myself and be an outstanding student.
ReplyDeleteMy mother told me that join the school's community sometimes is more important than the academic grade. If you have a large friend group in the school, you will study much easier. So why not try it? Try to make a few more friends during the dance. My parents also want me to have a girl friend during the high school time, but my best friend Edward told it doesn't matter to have no girl for the dance, he can be my dance partner!
And the homecoming day: the October 4th is my eighteenth birthday, too! I will be an adult! Congratulate me！
I think dances and parties are parts of high school life, they are very important for every international students, these actives help us make more friends; let us ahead of time to know and adapt American living environment, that are also the reasons why I came here to study.
ReplyDeleteOur school homecoming will be on this weekend, we should cherish this time. But for some reasons I like to stay lonely recently, so I am not very interested in homecoming, wish next year I can have someone to go with me, just need to wait until The One appear.

ReplyDeleteI think homecoming is very important for us, because we can meet more people at that time. And we probably can meet a lady who can let me give her my trust. But the most important thing is we can get 5 point on next quiz.

Homecoming is coming!!! I am so excited about homecoming. I have never join any of party before, so homecoming will be my first party night. Meanwhile, I am a little bit nervous about homecoming. Actually, I don't know how to dance, and I am shy of dance with boys. ><!!!!! In Chinese high school, they don't allowed we have boyfriend or girlfriend, so it is impossible for me to dance with boys. Homecoming is very important for me, because I can make lots of friends during this activity. Dance party is a kind of American culture, and every country has their own culture. It is a good change to learn a new culture!!!

ReplyDeleteIn my previous school , we had such event only for graduated students , so it was a big surprise for me. But as i said , i hope it will be fun there and maybe i will meet someone new ,who knows?
Everyone says that they don't like Homecoming but i can bet, that everyone will be dancing with such power in their legs ,that won't stop till the end of the party.
The homecoming is coming!!! That is the best chance for international students to make new friends and know each others.I think dancing and parties are a part of school life.The homecoming is a good way to learn American culture.I want to try it.

HC dance is kind of excitting beacuse you have all, i mean friends, food, and music. It also depends of the kind of person you are , if you don`t like music and hang-out with friends you will not have fun at HC dance. i think they invent that thing to know more about the people / meet new friends) im kind of excitting!

ReplyDeleteIn china,there is not any social dances and parties for students in school.And Boys and girls can't be very closed at school.I used to be very shy when I talking or working projects with boys.When you walking with a boy after school even if you just go to see a teacher,other students will think he is your boyfriend.
My first time to join a dancing party is when I went to England.I just sat at a table and saw foreigners dancing.Suddenly,a Spainish girl came to me and invited me to join the dancing.I said that I was too shy to danced in front of so much people.Nobody would want to dance with me.But I followed the girl finally.We danced together,and then two boys came to us and asked us if we would like to dance with them.
We had a good time and I become more outgoing and don't afraid to talk with boys any more.
We may work with heterosexuals in the future.So we need to learn how to connect with heterosexuals in a correct way.We should put our main focus in study.however,Love itself is beautiful.
The dance and party are the big part of American life. And they are also the main social activities. In China, we have some similar activities, just not exactly same. I have a graduate dance in China and that is in a hotel. The different is that is held by students, not school. The most common social activity is drink. Chinese like have a dinner together and drink some wine. That's the way that Chinese show their emotion. From now, some young Chinese like go to the KTV or the bar to drink or dance in the dance floor. The dance party just hold very official in china. I think the high school dance is a very good way that let youth to know how to socialize and let them have a very unforgettable memories. That's important to me because I can know more American social life.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming day is coming!!! In China we don't have dance party like this ,we don't need to wear beautiful dress and find a dance partner . I am so exacting and can' t wait the homecoming day ! At that day ,we will make up and wear favorite dress . We can dance together and meet different people in the dance party . It also is a chance for international students to improve our English ,we can have a topic with local student . It is interesting right^^
ReplyDeleteHomecoming party is coming. It is really a kind tradition cultural of modern america and a way to show everybody the country’s ebullient. Actually, the parties is a kind of easy and quick way to make the international students blend in the local students. I think it is not really that important…but it is also important. It can relax the atmosphere of the school. High school parties are a kind of way to make the students more closer.Anyway, wish the homecoming party successful.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance is coming!I have just been to Christmas party dance annual in China and went to a social party when I was studying in a summer school at Cambridge.But it's my first time that go to a homecoming party in the United States and also it's my first time go to a homecoming dance in high school. When I was studying in middle school in China, the similar party or dance always been held by each class or each grade but not whole school.Besides, everyone didn't pay close attention in dress ,and just dressed up as same as normal or just wore more formal than normal.
ReplyDeleteI think it's not too important for me.Although it's a good chance to make friend and know more about American culture ,but I nearly get no interest in that.And I don't like spend money on this.So I really don't want to go to the homecoming.
Only 2 days left until the homecoming party. I have never been in any homecoming dances before, we don't have that kind of party in my country apparently. It would be fun, memorable and important for the first time experience Homecoming dance and party. I am going to put my suit on, I haven't had a chance to put it on as anytime in Vietnam. Therefore, I can act like a gentle man as I haven't done before. That's what I'm expecting.
ReplyDelete2 days to go for HOMECOMING. It's the place that everyone is having fun. Dancing all night with your friends and with people you have never met before is always good unless songs are bad.
ReplyDeleteI think high school dances and parties are just as important as getting good grades. They are the times in which us students can forget about all the pressure from HW and quizzes. We can make new friends in these events and most important of all, have a good time. I'm looking forward to the homecoming dance. :3

I heard somethings from senior students, all of people will take off shoes and all lights will turn off, then dancing, so I think this is a very good experience.

It is my first time go to the home-coming dance. I never had a dance party before. I don't know how to dance. In China, the school only has sports festival. I don't know what a high school party will like. I have my suits and shoes. I bought the at summer vacation. I want to dance at home-coming this year. It is a good chance to meet new people. Home coming is not very important to me. I am a boy and many boys don't dance. However, the school should have dance parties. Homecoming is important to the school. It is happy time for every students. I am happy to join in the party.
ReplyDeleteOn the occasion of the spring prom, we see flowering youth taking on the formalities of "adult". Fine dress (most of the students who attend the senior prom rent expensive tuxedoes) or purchase high quality suits or gowns for the occasion)

ReplyDeletewell it seems to me that this kind of parties and dances done that so we can meet new while we enjoyed it , I've never been to homecoming people, I want to go because it is a thing not in Spain and I think it will be fun
Homecoming is the one of the important opportunity to have socializing with many friends. We can meet good people that I don't know, and have a wonderful time at there. Actually high school students are so busy to prepare to enter collage and it is very important. However, studying is not a only important thing to us. Having a party such as a homecoming also important to us. We should experience many thing before to be adults. As many resident students have never had homecoming , this is my first time to go homecoming either. So I don't know what do I suppose to do at there. But i want to learn it and have a good experience on my first year to stay here. It will give me fun and new something that have value. So the homecoming is pretty important to me.

ReplyDeleteIs homecoming very important for every students? Maybe, but I did not do any party like homecoming before I came to the USA. It doesn't allow to have a boyfriend or girlfriend in Chinese high school, but I think TA's homecoming is good, nice music delicious food and elegant girls. It's very important for me to make friends in homecoming, and I can get 5 more points on next quiz.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance is a command activity that almost every school will held in the first few weeks at school.This is a activity to encourage students interact with each other and release their pressure from studying.Also,girls and boys can find their Mr/Ms.Right on the homecoming dance party,this kinda kill two birds with on stone activity.In my personally speak,another benefit for joining homecoming dance is improving our English and understanding America culture better,we socialize on the party,dance with each other so that international student can be influenced by this local America culture a lot.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming day is important for all the students, i think the homecoming day is good for students social skills, in China a lot of students study all the time, test already become the most important things in their life. test grade in can show everything in their life, everyday the things they discuss is the study but nothing else. In my opinion they are a kind of machine, a study machine. when they graduate from university they just won’t find a job easily cause all they know is how to write the collect answer on the test paper, how a boring life?! To compared, a homecoming day is such important for students, it can let us relax and practice our social skill, it also can notice us the study is not the only one important things in the world, we need to have some relax with dance and have fun.

Homecoming dance is coming.Though many students are getting really exciting about it,I think it’s very boring for me.And I prefer to stay at dorm and play computer game or do my home work instead of going to the homecoming dance,as an option base on the flowing reasons.
First thing first,homecoming dance do give me the chance to make more friend.But,I can make more friend by playing computer games.If I want to go to the homecoming dance,I will have to wear formally and dance with other people.However, I hate dancing and I hate wearing formal shirt.Therefore,I prefer to stay in dorm,the computer games can give me the same feeling as the homecoming dance.There many people play with me,there are many chances that can let me make more friends and I don’t have to dance like a clown who wearing a silly formal dress.
Secondly,the homecoming dance will start at night.And it do let other people feel good,because night might let them feel roman.But,I disagree with that statement.I believe that people should play and enjoy the sunlight at daytime.For example,I always play tennis or other kinds of things at daytime,and do my homework at night.But,the homecoming dace will start at 7pm.That’s the time that I have to do my homework.If I go to the homecoming dance,I will not able to complete my homework.And I have to do them all at Sunday.And It will have a great negative impact on my homework’s quality.
In summary,the homecoming dance is not suitable for me.If I go there,it will not be much fun for me.And it even will harm me in many different ways.Therefore,I prefer to stay at dorm instead of going to the homecoming dance.
No doubt high school parties are necessary for me. I already spent two years in my high school life, and two years later I am going to go college, thus some social activities will be very helpful for my future life. In fact, I am trying to challenge a few social activities like baby setting. I believe these activities will come in handy on someday.
ReplyDeleteSocial activity is a good choice to improve me, but I can't say that every activities are suited to me. On yesterday, the school held the Homecoming Dance party. I agree Homecoming party is very nice, and it can promote our friendship. Actually I had think about that should I try it, but it is really not suited to me. First, I am not an outgoing person, and I don't like to show to others. Next, dancing in a place which are so many people there will make me very uncomfortable.
Maybe the dancing party will never suit the people like me, but the world is fair, there must be something else are suited for me.
I think homecoming is important. That is a good a social opportunity to make friends and try to do something those American high school student do. The more important things must be that is a good chance to invite and dance with the boy or girl who you like. The boys have to get up the courage to find a girl to go to the party, girls also hopes the boy who they like to invites them. For me, that is the first time to dance with my boyfriend. So I’m looking forward to go to homecoming.
ReplyDeleteI think parties and dances are important for me. Although I cannot dance well, it's still good for me to join some activities and just try my best. In China there are not such things. But in United States, high school student don't have stable classes. So that the ability of socialization become very important. Since now I'm here. I think it's the time to make some change. Give yourself a push and wait to see how things go!

It is a very successful homecoming and I also want to join in the homecoming next year.
This is my first homecoming. It was great , I like the music, food and people. The parties in Mexico are different but I like more homecoming because more people come.

ReplyDeleteI did not go to the homecoming. Because I do not like to dance. I prefer a quiet environment. So I will feel comfortable and relaxed. Because I have a lot to do, so there is no time to go. I'm looking forward to attend the next homecoming.

Thanks everyone, for your comments. It's true that going to dances helps your social skills and informs you about American culture, but the main reason to go to a dance is to have fun and meet people. I hope those of you who went on Saturday had a great homecoming.

ReplyDeleteThis is my third time to go to the Homecoming dance. I like go to Homecoming with friends because it is so fun for me! I can memories I ate Koi in the school at the Homecoming's time. In China, we don't have a activity like Homecoming dance, so I think I am very Lucy to came to the TA. TA let me try something new which I had been never try in the China. I like TA and TA's activity.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this homecoming dance, but I made a big mistake, I slept until afternoon! I miss it and at that time I felt something is losing form me, the extra credit on ELL, changes for a girlfriend..... and I take to my self: "why you push off the alarm!" but it's to late to say. I keep sleep till dinner. I think it's is important things in high school and the parties must be great. I will set the alarm next time.

ReplyDeleteIn Spain we don´t have those dances so, when I came here I thought that it was going to be awesome but when on Saturday I was there with my friends, I didn´t like it much because the american´s songs are not good for the dances and the people didn´t know how to dance so it was a bit weird but, it was a good life experiece.
The homecoming dance should be great and fun, I guess everybody like party, especially at school haha. I think school dance or party are pretty good ideas, it's like give the student a little bit rest during the semester, people can totally forget about homework, assignment those annoyed stuff. In China, since sport is not a big part of our school, we don't really have the homecoming, or dance. School in China are kind of boring, but sometime we will have a short party when it's holiday. Therefore, I totally suggest Chinese school use the homecoming idea.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming dance is one of the most popular school event in USA. In somehow it is a part of American that other countries don't have. At that day, people wear a fancy clothes and dance together. It is really great because it make people more closer.
ReplyDeleteDo the party of homecoming is a great idea because you can meet new people and make new friends. I think is so funny see your normal friends with more formal clothes than normally and is a great opportunity to do a lot of photos and most important, have a great time dancing.
