Here's the Earth seen from space. Seen from this perspective, the home of humans seems small, even insignificant. All of history - its inventions, wonders, art, achievement, on the one hand; its wars, hunger, disease, and destruction, on the other - well, all of it seems somehow less important in this context. ReplyDeleteWhen I view this picture like the earth, I feel the world has many things human don’t know. On the basis of human, the earth is really a huge ball, but compared of the sun, the earth is also really small. So “the world” which we can see is the tip of the iceberg in the large world. Maybe, there will have many secrets are writing for us to explore. What things are on the opposite side of the world? Has there a second earth? Is it a heaven or a sukhavati? Now, it is still s secret.

As a kind of organisms in the nature, each person is very tiny and he or she can just do limited contributions, so it’s necessary for everybody to cherish life. We human have captured the earth. We are constantly developing on the land and continue to write the history. In the long river of history development, we can find many good and bad matters or phenomena. The environment is becoming worse and worse. As the haze weather appears frequently in China and the emergence of ozone hole caused the concern of the international community. Then, the population is increasing constantly. The population of India will outnumber the population of India next few years and it will have the largest population in the world. Finally, GM crops are inundating now. These crops bring some side effects to human, and lead to many children get syntrophus. Human leads these phenomena mostly. We human should review. We can’t forget that we just have one Earth and one life!
This is a meaningful picture. It can remind each people of many ideas. I like this, I hope human can continue exploring and protect our home.

When people went to space, they found the world is only a earth, it is a unlimited world by human’s vision. People knew the world is not only the earth, here’s many planets in the space, but I don’t think it means we are small and insignificant. God created us because he gives us a chance to live. We should follow god’s order, enjoy our life, enjoy the pain in this world. In the other way, we are organisms, the world’s is survive, like other organisms, too. This is the first feeling about my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThe second feeling comes to me is the way we to see this picture, although we are very tiny in this picture, even we can’t see it. But if we don’t use microscope, we can’t see virus and bacteria. They are small by our eyes, too. We don’t need to know how small we are, because it doesn’t effect our live.
Also, this picture let me know we still have many things need us to explore, the world has many interesting things we didn’t know, even it is dangerous or misery, they still need us to find it. That’s what I think about this picture.
when i see the image i think the universe is huge and we don't even know how huge it is and if is any way of life out there. A simply person in comparison with the other humans, animals and earth is nothing, insignificant but when you compare it to the universe you are not even the size of an ant.

when i think in all the death, wars, violence , peace , history and all the things that has happened to the earth i wonder why? The human nature is being curious so we would never stop until we discover why we are here if is someone more out there or if we are only pieces of a mechanism with no more reason that keep living and working.
i would love have that view from my eyes, be in the space and look at the earth and ask myself all this questions.

ReplyDeleteEarth is huge for animals that fly in the sky, for example, in China the swallow will spend lots of time on their migrate when the winter coming they will from north China fly to south of China, it spend like one fourth year on their 10 years life, if the earth is small they might just need one month or one day even they needn’t to spend time to migrate. I also believe there isn’t a kind of birds can fly half earth’s distance. So the earth is huge for the animal fly in the sky.
Earth is also big for animal swim in the sea, “70%Earth make by Water” and there are more than 32100 kinds of fish that we know, if sea is not enough big that there can’t be 32100 kinds of fish. So earth is huge for the animal swim in the sea.

DeleteWhen I view this picture, I think I live on the earth and this is my home. But my half home is covered by dark. We live in a circle. I work hard everyday but I can't return back the same and how successful how great you are, you are always in this circle even die. Most people have to work for life including me. I'm not a smart person so every problem I need to focus on and work so hard to solve it. However, if others she can go through it pretty easily. Life is unfair but this is true life. There are many competitions in the circle. We fight for a good life. In most situations, the poor are always poor and the rich are always rich. Sometimes I feel like I can't change anything in this circle. I'm so small and so wreak. For me, the night is dark and the day is also dark. I only see dark in my life now. I really have no idea to do better for my life. I know I should do more than others, but it was always useless. Again and again, the half earth is covered by dark so my half house is covered by dark and also me is cover all by dark. Sometimes, he walks around me and I like him. Life is so easy.

ReplyDeleteNow as I see this picture, I feel sorry for how I used to live. I should enjoy my life more. I wonder why there is so much quarrel, violence throughout the planet. We should try to make life happier and easier, not complicated.
Also it reminds me of some cartoons in my childhood.
When a person think of the world, he might think the world is big. It can hold too many people, too many countries and too much staff. Different events happened on every moment. Every country, even every city has each own people, language, behavior and religion. If you come to a unfamiliar city, you need to know it’s cultural and language and so on, otherwise you will not be able to live in that city. When I come to an unfamiliar city, I can always feel how huge the earth is and admire different cultural in different cities. If you think of this way, you will feel that the earth is big and awesome. But if you look at this photo, you will be surprised at how small the earth is. While you observing the picture, you can see our home- Earth is just a small blue ball. Something will jump into your mind if you are observing the earth carefully. I can feel our hometown, the small blue ball is getting smaller and smaller. I can image a day in future, the earth will die because of the hurt by the people. ReplyDeleteFor the first time I saw the picture, the word comes to my mind is beautiful. We live in this beautiful plane. Earth is big enough for people travel and living. I think we h have to spend many years to discover all of the mysteries of the Earth. Meanwhile, we make history and human’ culture on the plane. We develop cities and create new inventions for better life. We also struggle between benefit and morality. But it is small enough compare to the whole universe. As the statistics shows diameter of the sun is 109 times in comparison to the earth. And the sun even doesn’t show on the picture of the galaxy. I guess nobody can visualize how huge is the universe. Since that, everything happens on the plane is very insignificant. Love, hate, happiness and sadness of hundreds of millions people on the tiny plane. I think it is not a big deal if we make desalting to bad things. We truly have happy and easy lives. ;)

I think that we are very lucky to live on the earth, because it provides all the things that we need to survive. The earth is our beautiful and comfortable home, but there are a lot of people who just care about themselves and destroy the environment. Because of them, the earth became warmer and warmer, and it wasn't beautiful as before. A lot of species disappeared from the world, and our living environment became worse and worse. I felt very sad about that. We should protect the earth together, because in the universe, there is only one earth, and the earth is our only home. Everybody would like the world to be beautiful, so a lot of people realize that we should do something good for the earth right now. Low-carbon life is an example of protecting the earth. In addition, people also plant a lot of trees, build a lot of nature reserves, prevent factories from making pollution, and so on. Even though earth is a very tiny planet in the vast universe, It's really miraculous. On the earth, I can breath fresh air since I open my eyes in the morning. There are also many living things like humans. We live in the earth like neighbours. As humans, we are not along on this planet. Earth is a big family for every living things. So we should take care of it. With the advance of technology, we have polluted many rivers, lands and even part of the sky. And on the picture I can see that deserts is more than greenbelts now. I believe that there are many beings in the darkness. But they are too far away from us, we can’t find them with our limited technology. They may also try to find us. It just like in a lifeless endless thick night, a television is still working though no one is there. Although now the space exploration is become better and better, compare with the endless universe, it doesn’t mean anything. Human is too weak and too small. Compare to other planets, for now Earth is the only planet that can give lives protection and it’s a good place for human to live. It means Earth is the only place for human and we must to protect it. There’re a lot of things we can do to protect our Earth, such as stop cutting down the forests, stop wasting water and stop polluting emissions. These things would damage the environment. From the space you can see lots of animated nature such as ocean, forest, lakes, desert, sky and mountains. There are many abundant resources on the earth. Its resources have been giving human a lot like home, happiness and life. We can’t even give back reward, but it never want to get back anything form human. We still build factories, cut the trees and pollute the river. Even we have big war around the whole world never stop until now. That was so stupid and awful. Now the earth fades her original color and the sky is not blue like used to be. Many rare plants and animals is disappearing and the desert is returning back. The world from that view looks gorgeous and amazing. It reminds me how much space is giant. Even though our world seems huge actually we live in just a little point around the space. Anyway from the space the only building that we can see is Great Wall of China.Also we can see the clouds. That means there is probably a storm, or we can see mountains. As we look to the Earth all the bad things like wars, hunger or disasters seems nothing. So we can learn something from looking to Earth. So our life's so short to think about it. I just love here because here is my only home, and humanity is the most intelligent biological, so I believe we have duty to lead and protect the biological in this planet. Because of a lot of reasons, humanity started to damage this world, our only home, and I think the biggest conflict is between countries and humanity as a whole. We still distinguish race in this world, so different races and countries have to protect themselves and their benefits in this world. People from different countries grow endlessly because they don’t want to face dangerous from the other countries, and China grow quickly now because it was a really poor and dark country in 19 century and 20 century, China never want to try this feeling again, so we still grow quickly now. We live in such a mysterious and amazing planet, Earth. On the Earth, there are full of many diverse things. It doesn't look a bit like where we live, it doesn't look like my house and it doesn't look like my school. I think it looks so small and calm. When I look at the picture, I can't believe the earth has so many wars, hunger, disease, and destruction. The earth made people instead of people making the earth. The earth was here first and then people came. People divided in to countries and they try to control it. I think it’s bad that people control the earth so it makes hunger, pollution, and destruction but people can also do good things. For example grow more trees, use less cars, ride more bikes. Today, the problems of pollution are hard to solve. The water and air pollution also threaten our life. Human get great development on all kinds of aspects of life indeed. Everything on the earth is changing all the time, we are merely short-lived for her. I like the earth, because in the vast universe I can have such a beautiful home, it is really luckly. Everything on the Earth like human, animal and plant are very small. There are many amazing things about the wildlife of plant and animal, many new tribes around world and a lot of planets that people still haven’t discovered yet. Beside that, all of human’s history includes achievement of inventions or wonderful art, building, wars, famine or disease around the world and destruction are really small in this Earth and seems like nothing in this immense universe.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see this picture, I feel the earth is so beautiful and huge. Also I feel the world has many things human don’t know. Compared with the universe, the Earth is just a very, very small ball. Like the earth compare with a molecule. Even more. Times are making progress every day. Someday humans will fly out of the solar system.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the earth, the first mind jump in my mind is why it is so small. We are living in this place for more than theorem years and here we stand, and here we'll stay. In my mind I think about the history, the wars happened in here. All of us are the kids of the earth. We grow here, we full in love here, and we get married here and all of us will dead here. But we do not how to protect earth; many of us just know how to break. We all know in those years how many bad thing happened in earth, earthquake, Volcanic eruptions, Plane crash, war happened… if we are still going to break earth, and do not gonna to save it.I don't know we can still live in here. We need look for more space to live.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see this earth I remembered one picture that I saw on the internet. One scientist forecast what will earth look like in the future. In that picture there is no more energy on the earth, we can only see a yellow ball in space. There is no living things on earth, but we can see many old things that make by human. Earth is our only home, and it offers everything for us. We need to protect earth and make our home more and more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSomething as grand as the earth could be just a tiny dot in the entire outer space. When you see a picture like this you just have to realize how little power you have, how small you are and sometimes you even feel pathetic because you effort seems meaningless in the gigantic world, despite how hard you tried to be different. But that also made me glad because in this annoymous world, we still be able to meet the ones that we love. Thinking about making friends thousands miles away from home, it's pretty incredible. I love pictures like this, it reminds me not to overlook myself, but at the same time surprise myself how lucky we have been. We don't need to be able to make a big impact, we only need to know how to appreciate the things we have, in such a huge universe.
ReplyDeleteThis just a the earth which shows on the Google Map, If you want, you can see the earth like this size, like a magic ball, the land, the forest, the sea and the wind. it's so cute. But, you can not even know which part of the earth this is. Nowadays, the technology and science develop so fast, people now tralve to the moon if you have enough money. people in the past thought that the earth was a cube and earth was everything, nothing bigger than the earth, but now, the earth in the space just like sand.
ReplyDeleteThe Earth is a gigantic house for every compact human being. Being seen from this perspective, it seems so diminutive that I am able to hold the whole world in my hands. However, “ our little home ” is being polluted every single day and humans, who are considered the most invasive species, have a key role in causing the climate change.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, each year the typical American family throws out 2,460 pounds of paper, 540 pounds of metals, 480 pounds of glass and 480 pounds of food scraps. Such is a great amount that enables to pollute the environment easily. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, there's a more than 90 percent probability that human activities over the past 250 years have warmed our planet. The industrial activities that our modern civilization depends upon have raised atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from 280 parts per million to 379 parts per million in the last 150 years.
It can be seen that we have caused a massive damage to the Earth. Some people believe that it’s time for us to find “ a new home “ in the universe such as Mars. Others think we have to protect the Earth and prevent it from being polluted. In my point of view, there’s no place like home, so that we can’t just abandon the Earth. It’s tough to live far away from home. Even if scientists found a living on another planet, they could not make certain that place would be better than the Earth.
This kind of picture just remind me the word "beautiful". I love earth,I love human being,nature like this. I want to keep this beauty for my next generation. But I feel that these days environment is destroyed too much and I don't have enough power to keep this. I try to do small things that I can do but it's not enough. I'm going to be a powerful person to keep the beautiful earth.
ReplyDeleteWhen this picture first time come into my mind, it shock me a lot! Wow! This is so powerful! First time I watch this picture I am so proud of our planet. She is so beautiful. This planet gives us a very wonderful living place. Although there are so many diseases and destruction, I still love this planet. It's our own homeland, we should protect it. Stop the wars, attacks or violent behaviors. Let's make a better future in this planet!

ReplyDeleteWhen I view the picture of our earth I start to think whether we can try our best
to take good care of our unique earth. I cannot believe that we have already harmed our
earth so much even we are just too tiny to be seen in that picture. Earth is the only place
that humans adapt to live, so if we don’t take good care of it today we will be burying
ourselves tomorrow. Even though we will probably find another planet that has similar
condition and atmosphere to our earth, we still need to protect it because the earth is like
our hometown that we cannot ever forget about it.

ReplyDeleteWhen I thought of the earth before, the word came up to my mind was greatness. There are too many things on the earth that we even cannot image how many they are. But when I saw this picture, I understand the earth is tiny. Let alone the human. I saw another picture about the earth before which was compare it with the sun. The earth was only a small point in that picture. I still rejoicing after I saw these pictures, because I think the earth is so fragile. Probably one day the earth will disappear. So just cherish everyday on the earth. It is the only home we can live.
When I see a picture of this I think in five continents. Also I think how can I live there, it looks so weird. I think that Spain is so small respect to the world, also that the humans are so small, and that makes us look insignificant. Also we are so small respect to the earth and the earth is small respect to the sun, so depends on what we compare we are so small, and more insignificant Also when I see this I have thoughts like happiness, love, also things that are impossible to see, so that is what I see. I don't see anything else because there's nothing to see, just a round ball.

ReplyDeletewhen i see this this picture i think of how small the world is. we al live on that small rock that floats in this giant universe. its beautiful. thats why i think we should keep it clean or we might destroy it and lose our beautiful planet. by that i mean reducing the gas we realize in the atmosphere every day and throw our trashes in the environment. i really like my planet and i would never live anywhere else.
