It's autumn - also called fall - and the leaves are turning color. Many think the fall is New England's most beautiful season: not only do the trees become orange, red, and yellow, but the skies are often clear blue, and the days are crisp and cool, perfect for all sorts of activities. What do you think of fall? Is it your favorite season? Why or why not? If not, which is your favorite season and why?

ReplyDeleteFall is not my favorite season. I will be very lazy to do everything in fall. Especially, the weather in fall in Saco makes me feel uncomfortable. In the morning and evening, I want to wear coat and in the afternoon I have to wear T-shirt. Every day I need to take off, put on more time. I don't like it at all.
I like winter most. In winter,thin people and fat people all wear much clothes look like a ball. So fat people can cover some disadvantages of their bodies. I very hate hot. I prefer cold dead to heat dead. In summer I often sweat from my head to my feet. This will make me annoyed. The view in winter is very beautiful. White represents pure. Many people like this color.
Last but not least, I like winter because Mr.Morse's birthday is in December. He like a Santa Claus and my grandpa. We left home to here. Sometimes we will fell lonely but when I see him I feel so happy to do everything. I like him soooooooo much. Every volunteering, I want to join. Because I can stay with him and look him smile. I hope he can live in the world forever.
I think fall is a picture that's drawn God's hands. It's a perfect season. We can enjoy the fresh air and the cool weather which we feel most comfortable about. For many people, they like fall because it's such a happy and silent season, so do I. But I'm more into Summer, my most favorite season. This season is the most active and powerful one,and I like these feelings,so I always have my best time in Summer. Though during this time the weather is hot usually, but the time also drives us crazy because of the most longest holiday.
ReplyDeleteNow is autumn, a sad season, with a lot graduation and farewell's season, Now is the season that with a lot defoliation and wilted flower, Now is autumn that my favorite season. In autumn I can see the leaves fall on the ground, it make me feel powerful because in autumn defoliate is a very common things, for this reason I can see defoliation everywhere, and some times I will think about myself if I study idler, will I like those leaves fall on the ground no one know me, no one see me then I die like a sand in the sea. When I think about those things I feel powerful then study hard. Also when a leaves fall down the other leaves beside it won't fall down with him, so I also know we should do the things by our own, by our hand. Now is autumn, Now is my teacher's lecture time

ReplyDeleteNow is autumn. The view of fall is so beautiful. The leaves change green to red or gold. When the breeze blows, a plenty of the leaves fell down. Some children like stepping on the leaves which on the floor. The leaves rustle while they step on them. It sounds awesome. I like autumn very much. The first reason is the weather is not hot like summer and cold like winter. So we can do a variety of activities, it’s a good time to do excises. The second reason is I like maple leaves. When I walk in the road with maple leaves, and listen to music. I feel comfortable and relax. I lived in Beijing for about 10 years. Now, I studied in America, I miss and admire the autumn foliage in Beijing. When the leaves turn their colors, the Xiang mountain covers itself with a red and yellow blanket. It’s the best time to have a cup of coffee while you are stunning due to the fantastic view.

DeleteAutumn is one of my favorite seasons. It's like the end of a life cycle. And it also means a new life would begin soon. Fall season is like a man who becomes old and nearly to die. But at Spring, everything will have a new begin, everything will be regeneration.
ReplyDeleteAt autumn, everything become slowly and more comfortable. The weather is cool and comfortable, and makes people feel very relax. Fall season would make plants yellow, red or orange, and would make animals slept. Although Autumn takes many things away, but everything will start again at Spring, so it's like the cycle of samsara.
My favorite season is fall. Green mixed up some red, fall’s come. In my mind, there are no seasons can compare with the beautiful fall. Not cold as winter, not hot as summer, more colorful than spring. In such a cool weather, I can’t stop calling the past. Wore hoody and the shorts, put on the headset, stepped on the path covered with a layer of golden leaves, ran around in the park, and a cup of starbucks comforted my tired body. What an enjoyable morning! In fall, only leaves are farewell to the world, so many other things begin to restart. To my excitement, it must be the new season of the NBA. After a long summer, I have no more patience to wait. Meanwhile, the new term of school starts. Whatever it is laborious or sad, happy or unforgettable, campus time is always a beautiful memory in my life.
ReplyDeleteFall is my worsth season. Because this season is a sign of a illness for me. The wheater is chancing everyday and that makes you sick. Thats why i dont like fall. And the other things the sign of a fall are football and soccer. Because these sports are fall sports. It is fun to watch them. Also fall is make me negative. Because it means the summer is over. Fall means school is starting. This is the another thing that a hate of the fall. Although all those things I love fall. There are lots of song about fall. One of it is ''Noverber Rain''. ReplyDeleteIn autumn, the day begins to draw in. And the leaves turn in autumn, they look like rad sparks. I think it is nice. I remember, in my hometown, there are many trees on the both sides of the road. When autumn is coming, the sidewalks are covered by red leaves. I miss the scenery. Autumn is a harvest season. Many crops are mature. So it is a good season to enjoy delicious foods.
My favorite season is winter instead of autumn .I am not dislike the season autumn ,I just think that ,compared with autumn ,I think I like winter batter than it .I know ,it is very cold in winter ,but the season is the representative of purity. The season is also the representative of my mother ’s love, because I was born in winter in 1995.I should say “Thank you! I love you!” to my mother.
Autumn is a beautiful season. In Maine, the biggest changes in autumn are leaves. The leaves are colorful, red, yellow and green. My hometown is in the south of China. So it is my first time to see the maple. The first time I saw a lot of kinds of color leaf mixed together. In my hometown, because in the south of China, is not very cold in winter. My favorite season is winter in my hometown is not cold not hot. I most like to go out in this cool weather.

ReplyDeleteI like autumn. I love the falling leaves in autumn. They cover the ground with golden yellow. When you walk on them, they rustle beneath your feet, just as if they are singing to you. I know trees get ready for their next year's rebirth by doing this, so I enjoy them without any sad feelings. The fields in autumn are fruity. People are easy to have good mood in a harvest season.Autumn is a gold season.The days begin get shorter and colder.Plants shops flowering and leaves begin to fall from the tree.The leaves are turn yellow.Birds are flying to south.Fruits and corps are ripe. autumn is not my favorite season i like it because is beautiful see the leaves fall but the autumn is cold and you are in the school and i don't like the school , in the autumn you begin the school the routine and i hate that. My favorite season is the summer without school, the sun caresses your skin you can hang out with your friends every day , the nights are hot , you can go to the beach , you have a lot of party's , you can stay in the street later than in the other season because you don't have school the next day , you can wake up later , is the best part of the year , the last summer if was of the best summers in my life i stay with my friends all the days ,and with my family when we visited Santander( a city of España) .

Absolutely autumn is my favorite season. The most important reason is my birthday is in autumn. Other hands, the view of the yellow, red leaves covered the whole mountain is so grand. I love big city, but be in a tranquil surroundings can make all the pressure and the work slip from my memory. Before I came here. I already knew New England’s autumn is the most beautiful of the world. Even though I am not new here. So this is my first see it. It really made a profound impression to me. It is a colorful autumn.

ReplyDeleteEverything turning orange, red or green and I always take some picture of fall cause of view. Last fall I went to Tibet in China, I was fascinated by the view of fall when I saw it.
There are many animals coming out to eating something and plants are full of vitality.
But sometimes autumn is a little cold, so people would wear extra clothes or something to keep warm. Autumn is a good reason to traveling and hiking. When autumn coming I always go outside and do some activities with friends because of temperature is appropriate. So that’s why i love autumn.
In our region, autumn represents dreariness and loneliness. So when I see the autumn wind is blowing and leaves is falling, I always be sad. In autumn, plants die and some animal is moving to warm places. The vitality of nature is less and less, like hope is less and less. So I don't like this season. But my favorite season is summer. Especially the summer in Saco. It is not so hot, but doesn't lose the characteristic of summer. Plants growth is very lush. And I wear T-shirt and short pants and go to beach. I also enjoy the sunshine here in summer. I hope the autumn can leave soon. Although winter is cold, I can snowboarding in winter. So it won't be so boring .
ReplyDeleteIn the fall, the weather is start cold we have to go to school and most plat are start to wither, so I dont like fall.My favorite season is summer. It's hot and I don't like the cold day.when the weather is hot we only wear rarely clothes. And summer is vacation time I can go back to my hometown to eat my favorites spicy food. And in the summer vacation I can have enough time to travel to where I want and do some adventure like surfing or fishing in the primeval forest. So I like summer it will not make me get bored.

Such as leaves changing color from green to red, the most beautiful maple, it is red. I like that feeling. We no longer stand the heat, looking forward to this winter's arrival; farmers harvested a lot of food. There's nothing more exciting than this up. ReplyDeleteActually, I don't like fall because the weather in fall is kind of cold, and I don't like cold weather. I think that fall is the beginning of everything's dying. The leaves begin to fall down from the trees, and they turn orange. I also think that things become boring when it's fall, although I agree that the scene of Maine's fall is beautiful. Which season do I like best? I like summer best because I can have a very long vacation during the summer. In the summer, I can have a lot of fun things to do. For example, playing basketball with my friends, traveling to some places that I want, swimming in the pool, and so on. Summer is always exciting, and I really enjoy the time of summer vacation.
ReplyDeleteWe have four seasons in the Earth and they changes all the time. In four seasons, I love winter best. In winter,the view is very beautiful in snow and the world become white any where. We can go to ski in the mountains, it's really fun and it's a good sport. In winter, we can make snowman, and add his nose and eves by carrot because I don't like to eat carrots. Also I think winter will be dryer than summer but not more than fall. Dry weather always make my nose blooding. Summer is so wet make me always feel slimy on my skin. I think in winter the sky will be more clear because here's not shiny sunshine. That's why I love winter.

Because in the fall , plants and flowers dies , the sky becomes dark and blind , I like sunshine , because shine weather give me energy and motive to begin a new day , so I think my favorite season is summer . Because of my hometown , Wuhan, I adapt hot weather and now I think I start to miss my hometown's weather , wet and hot( I hate winter and cold!!). Good shine days and blue sky , maybe you will feel the hot weather is too bad for you , but I miss all of them in my hometown.
Another important thing is that I can eat my favorite fruit watermelon in the summer , only in the summer!!
(watermelon is not delicious in the another seasons, so I only like the watermelon which is in the summer!)
Autumn like nearly twilight of life, everything is slowly getting older, recession. And with the vicissitudes of life, the Chinese have a poem said: "the setting sun is infinite good, just near evening." Dusk like autumn, awaiting the darkness and the cold is the same, this process is the most sad, looking at everything had gradually lost, at this time is the most uncomfortable.

ReplyDeleteOf all the seasons, I like fall best. In this season, farmers are busy harvesting in the field. I often feel cool light wind blow when i walk on the country road. At that moment, I always see yellow leaves fall from the tree and fly away. And there are many fruits in fall , Just like :apples , bananas , oranges… And the Mid Autumn Festival is in fall , too . Besides, many animals run or fly in the air here and there. They look very cute. Grass in hills feels soft. I think it must be more comfortable than any other beds. I love fall! I often fly kites and go hiking with my good friends.

Spring is warm so that it's a good time to go hiking outdoors. After spring, it is summer. Summer is my favorite season,because I can swim quite often. The third one is autumn. ReplyDeleteFor me, Fall means sadness and hope. When fall is coming, the leaves will leave the tree just like children leave their parents. I believe for all the international students, leaving home is a really difficult thing for all of us. We never done that before,or at least most of us didn't. However, there always have one day we have to leave them. The leaves will leave the tree because they grew up. Growing up always with sadness and happiness. We can't change it, but accept it is not a bad thing. When old leaves go down, the new leaves will go up. Every year, no matter how many times we have to leave each other, there always have a hope.

It is always full of sunshine, and in Spring, almost all of the flowers will flowering. All the world will be really colorful and exuberant. In 4 seasons , the most season I like is fall . ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season. Mots of the trees become orange, red, and yellow. So I love autumn. This is the second time I see trees change color. In my hometown, mots of trees are never change color. Mots of people think autumn is a sad season, but autumn is a pretty good season for me. Autumn is a beautiful season. The weather is not very hot and not very cold, it is cool. The skies are always clear and blue. We can do lots of activities in autumn. For example, we can barbecue in autumn. It will be a good time.

In China culture,we always associate autumn with anxiety. There is a sentence made by a Chinese woman poet:" Autumn`s wind and rain make me so distraught."
Fall is also the time life start sleeping. Most of animals look for shelters to hide during the winter. They are too busy to appreciate fall`s beautiful scenery. Only human will care about that.
I like spring better than fall because l love a season that life start growing.
Fall is too chilly for me.

For farmer, autumn is a season of gain. They hard working six months just for autumn, and then they will have enough foods to face all winter. Autumn is a beautiful season. Many people like to climb on autumn because the tree will change color, and it is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteAll most people like autumn, but I dont like it. In my city, the weather is always rain and wind in autumn. When it happen, my mom will let me stay at home all day and do my homework. I really really hate it. My favorite season is spring. In my mind, spring just like a new start. New year, new life, everything is new for me. I will forget all bad things in last year. Nothing happen on this year, so I will have enough confidence to do my best.
We have four seasons for a year, spring, summer, autumn, and winter. My favorite season is the autumn, It does't like summer so lively, also does not like the winter too cold. The four seasons just spring and autumn is the most similar, But only autumn has the quiet.
ReplyDeleteIn the fall of all trees, flowers will wither and die. So people always associate death with autumn tightly together. I think this is wrong, because the autumn like holiday for plants and animals that allow them to rest, and to prepare for how to during the winter.
Autumn's sunshine through the window, gently across the face. A gust of wind blow over which mixed with the flavor of leaves and grasses, close you eyes and fall will be on your side.
Fall is a broken time, It can make sad people of immersion. Recall the dream, hope and love. But In the end they will know the time still goes by. Have nothing is also a new beginning.
I love autumn, because sad and hope can live together. I love autumn, because the quiet is already deep in my heart.
In my opinion, autumn is a mushy season, everything become silence. But autumn also is a gain season,hard-working farmers gain their fruits.

As we know,fall is the season for harvest,but also the season for leave,plants become ripe and next is fade....i don't like fall because there always end after climax,after plants become ripe, they will die,the leaves become red or yellow cause they nearly to finish their final life. It is nice about the sight of fall, but every time i thought about it,it will remind me to thought about the death,it is really kind of terrible fell......

ReplyDeleteFirst I like snow so much, I can play snow ball and skiing with my friends during the snow days. and This is my first winter in America, so it is memorable.
Secondly. This is my first year go to school in America, so I can go visit a lot of great city in America during the Christmas vacation. Because the school's dorm will not open for student during the Christmas vacation.
So that is the reason I like Winter more than Autumn.
I don’t like autumn, because autumn makes me feel sad. In autumn the weather will be cold and leaves will fall. The day always cloudy is look like very sad. We have he Mid-autumn festival in China. People always go back home during the Mid-autumn festival. I’m in America now, So I can’t back home it make me very sad. And my favorite season is summer. Thanks, everyone, for your comments about the fall. There's a lot of diversity of opinion regarding which season is best. Many of you find the autumn a bit sad and prefer summer. While I prefer fall, I also think every season has elements to savor.

In some ways, fall means a lot of harvests for famers but it also means they got much more works to do during this season.

It makes me feel very comfortable. I do not like summer or winter because I do not like when the weather is too hot or too cold. It's not my favorite season, because it not summer but it cold.My favorite season is winter because it very cold and i play hockey. Back home we have were cold winters , i like winter here better for home.

beautiful. The trees have a lot of different colors. Especially in the parks near a lake
or mountains. You can only find this period in the northern hemisphere. I am from
the south so am not used to see that every time. That’s why it is so amazing for me
