- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
As the flowers bloom, I know I will write something about spring at last. My memory to spring is always vigorous and wonderful. It makes me feel good to smell the proximity of all living creatures. Now that my junior year in TA has just 7 weeks left, I realize I should do something to make my college application look nice. It's irrefutable to seize the opportunity of May 4th's SAT, which would be a big step toward success. All the exercises and exams we have done, remember bring your friends' expectation and goodwill in spring. Finally, let us get our largess in the dish of spring!
ReplyDeleteI love spring. The weather turns warm and the flowers bloom. It makes people happy everyday. It is almost end of the school year and I really can not believe that I will be a senior next year; but that means I should be really hard-working for final exams and college applications. Spring is wonderful; I can sniff the redolent flowers and the buds. All of these make me yearn my old school because when I left there, everything was like this. The spring is so nice because I can stroll with my friends outside and do lots of activities or sports; and my favorite summer will be coming soon. For next few weeks in TA, I hope I can get a good grade both in final exams and SAT test this saturday; also, I wish all my teachers and friends will have a nice summer vacation. Finally, good luck to all the seniors and I will miss you all...

ReplyDeletei feel like when the spring comes not only plants start blooming but people too. Spring is the season of love and peace. The main two things which i wat to accomplish are to lose weight and finish this year strong which is pretty hard because of the relaxing and playful mood which i have during the spring. The weather outside is too nice for studying ;)
ReplyDeleteSpring has already begun and final quarter has started. We don't have much time left before summer. Time past so quickly, I feel like it's just yesterday when I first came here. I really want to improve my grade from now till the end of school year, and have lots of memory about my first experience in the USA. Actually, there is nothing that I need to bloom inside of me. Maybe some desire to finish the rest of this year.:)
ReplyDeleteThe weather is warmer now, it reminds me of the very first mouth when I first came here knowing nothing and no one. And to me, this is not a good feeling at all, because it makes me miss home even more. It is May now, most of underclassmen are leaving in 2 mouths, and this has been disturbing, I can't even think clear these day. To be frank, all I have been thinking about is things after one and a half mouths later. All I really want to do is not to fail any class and have a safe trip going back to China. I have nothing else blooming inside of me expect the desire of wanting to go home.
ReplyDeleteWhen spring comes, people usually feel delighted and refreshed. The day becomes significantly longer and that really have a great effect on me. During the winter, when the night is dominant, sometimes I just felt so gloomy. However, now I look forward to everyday. I would like to make all my grade into A in the last quater. I should not be too comfortable and have a 4th quater slide. If that happened, all the effort I made before will become meaningless. Besides the academic works, I would also like to do some outdoor activities more often to be more physical. After all, when the school ends, summer holiday is coming! I really look forwards to going back to China and meeting with my friends.
ReplyDeleteI want to say that spring has finally arrived. In my impression, Maine is just the winter—we need to wear thick clothes every day—I do not like that feeling. But now, spring is coming. The grass grows, the flowers bloom, and the wind becomes warm, this kind of weather makes me feel particularly comfortable. We only have more than one month until the summer vacation, it also means that I will be able to go home. I eagerly hope that the time can be faster, because I cannot wait to see my family and my friends. But now I want to do some preparation for my exam, because I want to achieve a good grade at last.

Spring has already came. It reminds me my country. Because flowers bloom, sun shines, weather is going to be hot and only after 5 weeks I am going to my country, Azerbaijan. For me spring means flowers, beauty, end of the class, to go back my country, to see my parents and my friends. I am sure that these things are what I need right now. Only spring can give them to me. So welcome spring! Coming soon summer!! ;)
Spring is coming, and the weather gets warm and warm. actually i like spring most.in the spring, everything since new to me. the flowers bloom, the trees grow up, the grass gets green and green, and almost every creature starts their new life! but that also means, the school year also ends. a lot of tests and project are coming to me. i wish i could get good grades each my subjects, and i hope every one enjoy their spring!
ReplyDeleteSpring is the best time of the year because I could feel the warmth of the sun, smell the fresh air, see the green grass and flowers.I always had heard the rain and stuff like that when I was in my hometown-HangZhou,China. Time goes by, I have been TA for almost two years.I would love to say I like TA so much,TA gave me too much wonderful memories.Up to now, the only thing I want to do is improve my grades. I have a goal which is get an "A" on ELL3 class in the end of this year. I will study hard and I believe my resolution will come true.
ReplyDeleteAs the flower bloom, spring is coming. The weather gets much warmer and we are going to finish this school year. Spring is gorgeous and hopeful, we also want to accomplish some achievement before the end of our school year. For me, I want to get a better grade and enjoy life with friends in the rest of semester. Some of my friends will leave next year. I will miss them. Any way, I want the success of academy and forever friendship bloom on me.
ReplyDeleteI would like to accomplish a lot of things before the end of the school year, one of those, is to finish the school with good grades and without any issue, so I can go back to Spain and have a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteTA have giving me a lot of memories since I came here, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to miss it when I'm gone, but I had such a great time and that's what really matters, my goal before I leave will be to work hard until the last moment and take advantage of this year, I have nothing else "blooming" inside of me.
I really like spring. The temperature becomes higher and no snowing any more. It is a good season to do some exercises outside. And I want to accomplish two things before the end of last quarter. First, I would like to make my grades better so that I can go back to China with happiness and confidence. Second I need to keep improving my basketball skills and English. I hope I can live better in Thornton Academy.
ReplyDeleteFinally, the final is coming, and the summer is coming soon, as well. It seems that Maine has very short spring, for the temperature reaches a pretty high level now, and mosquitoes also come out. Time will fly then. I want to end this year with a good grade before back to China. I will not forget TOEFL and SAT, although I am already stressed out for the AP exams. Anyway, Spring is a good season. No matter what mood I am in, no matter what kind of day I am suffering, I smile.
ReplyDeleteWhen the flowers bloom, spring is coming. People all excited about it because they have more work to do, more out-door activities to do and the summer holiday is close. But as an excellent student, i have more things to accomplish before back home. I need to get all A or A- in all of my courses which is still a long way to go, because i still have 2 B+. Then i also need to improve my English in both reading, listening and speaking. Finally i want to live better in Thornton Academy~
ReplyDeleteWhen the spring is coming,and the flowers bloom.We have been expecting this for a long time.I really like spring,it is warm outside,and no more snow.The green grass grow up,i really like this season,much more than winter.One thing I would accomplish,is to keep working hard.Then i will take a great transcript back to my country when the summer vacation is coming.I can not wait for that.By the way,i want to keep working hard in basketball,and get great achievement.These are purposes that i would bloom in myself!
ReplyDeleteI think spring is my favorite season except winter. And spring is very beautiful and fresh in Maine. Temperature rises gradually, I can take off my heavy coat. Every morning when I go to campus, I can see lots of flowers and green grass. Spring is the beginning of the year, so I should plan a new year schedule, make more credits in the last month of my sophomore year, and ready to start my junior year. So this spring could be very important for me. Besides studying, I should join more activities or clubs, like running and playing basketball, make me be stronger and maturer. Spring is coming, so I can't be lazy anymore. Study harder and improve my English. I'll bloom all my dream in this spring.
ReplyDeletei love spring because every living thing getting "bloom". and there is only 6 weeks to end of this year, too many senior will leave us and i know i was so reluctantble. sometimes we will do one or two sports in spring, like badminton or basketball. because it helps you keep healthy. i am a junior now, and when spring is over, the summer vacation is coming, it means i will be a senior next year, i need more time to study and less time to wasted. so i need to make a plan that can make me become successful. anyway, i love spring, and i hope i can been better in my senior year.

ReplyDeleteEvery one is studying hard to make a good grades. I study a lot last two weeks. I like the weather outside because it is warm and i can hang out with my friends and have fun. In last weeks of studying i want to be with my friends more because i am senior and every one is leaving very soon. And also i am doing a lot of staff for going to college. It is hard time for every one.
I want to go to Boston to take a pictures because i will remember my last year of study at Thornton academy. And i want to try to swim at the ocean.
But i am staying here for two years more because i am going to college in Maine so i have all summer free. I will be sad that my friends will leave and i won't see them next year because they are all seniors like me.
Finally, spring's coming. The temperature becomes warmer and warmer. I really don't like winter and I hate snow or rain. I like warm weather and I can go outside for many sports. This is my last year in Thornton academy and after graduated I will go to the University of California Irvine for new four years.I love the time I study here and I love here.
ReplyDeleteAs we approach the end of the year, and I personally have my last month in my sophomore year, I want to focus in my SAT test that I have next month, get the best grades that I can in the 4th quarter and in the final exams, and focus in the end of my tennis season. I'm very excited seeing pretty vegetation around the campus, and having such a nice weather as the spring offers. By the way, I'm shocked of how the time flies. I can't believe I'm having my last month of my exchange program, what I've been planning for more than an year and a half.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great year for. I will aways remember this experience. It gave a lot. I learned English, learned American culture and other things. My goal is to get good grades. I am preparing for the exams which I am going to pass in Russian University. I hope I will pass all finals exams in Thornton Academy. It is going to be very complicated 5 weeks. This is very stressful for me. I also want to spend time with my friends as much as I can. this period of the year is great especially weather. I am also exited to see my family. I can't wait to go home and be excepted into University.
ReplyDeleteFinally, I have been waiting for worm weather for ages! I hate to put jacket on in the morning, and take off at school. Now, I can just wear a T-shirt go to school. As a junior, there are many stuff needs to deal with, such as SAT, TOEFL and colleges. I don't have to finish any of those before I leave, but I should be ready for everything next year. It will be awful this summer. I hope I can get good grades at least, also the first SAT test that I took will be a good news for me, I hope. One thing I have to mention, there are some trees whatever they called in fornt of my house,has blossomed. I swear to god, it smells horribly, it makes me so sick! I only allergic to this pollen.
ReplyDeleteIn this year, I think the time passes faster than last year. I came TA in February last year, at that time, I didn't know everyone here, anything I should do, and any rule I need to obey. Even like the place I lived that is Hobson House. I spent lots of time to communicate with my homestay family. It was a strange environment for me at that time. The time passed everyday, I used all things I can do to adapt the life in TA. So the time passed very slowly, because I really want to back China. But in this year, I've already known all the things here, and I don't really want to back home. Then I feel the time passed quickly when I realize it's only one month long to the end of this school year. And in this year, all the students who are my friends are all graduate. I feel lonely. Maybe my loneliness is blooming now...

In spring, not only plants grow up, people also grow up. We learn a lot in this school year. As the end of the semester, we all have some improvement. Also spring show that summer vacation is not far. I am really looking forward to going back to China.
Spring already comes into our life in 2013. Spring is so beautiful, and it is not as hot as summer and not as cold as winter. Trees start to grow up, and flowers begin to bloom. I can still remember that, 5 weeks ago, our ground was all covered by khaki, and it seemed that there is no vital force in the world at all. However, everything is filled with bright green now, so that everything looks new. Everyone knows that the final exam is coming, and some people may say that, in this spring, they just want to get high final grades to successfully finish this school year. That’s my goal, too. But I also have another hope. I want to really appreciate this beautiful spring. Because sometimes I want to get out busyness of studying and appreciate the beauty of nature.
ReplyDeleteSpring has come finally. Even though my favorite season isn't spring, it still makes me feel good after a long cold lifeless winter. I hate getting up in the winter and dressing up very thick in the morning during the winter. It's warm and pretty outside now. Everything woke up and is alive again, fresh air around every corner. Green grass, tender leaves and colorful flowers are all symbols of spring. I know spring in Maine comes later, but when I saw those sights, they remind me about my hometown. I can't wait to go back to China.
ReplyDeleteI really love spring, it is a beautiful season, everything we lost in the winter is reviving, I like the feeling when the sunshine covers my body, very warm and cozy. Spring always gives me some unforgettable memories, spring is a season that means energy, many flowers come out, many trees become green. Don't you see the beautiful dandelion in the sky, they are so loveliness, aren't they? Now that my freshman year in TA has just 6 weeks left, I think I can do better, i wasted too much time on internet this year, I should go outside, do some exercises and feel this moment!

But when spring coming we approach end of this school year, so we have many thing to do. In a few weeks, that is the end of this year, we have a lot of things to do, and we need to do better job for the grade. And I am going to take a good transcript in the end of this year. Next year is very important for me, so I have already make a big plan for it. From this spring, I am going to bloom.

I want to use these days to improve my grade. I don't want to bring a "C" to home. I also want to use these time to do some fitness before I go back to China, so I can show my good form in the beach. ReplyDeleteSpring is the best season for study, my teacher in China thought that. Because it is not so cold or hot. And this time is also near the final exam. That's a good time for review. We need to pay our attention on study, and try the best to review and remember new knowledge. This also my "blooms". However, I think I can not give up the activity in TA, it's also important for my future. Right now, I'm in tennis team. Even if I'm just a JV, but I will also try my best. It's the only technical sport that I can play!! Anyway, it's spring. Please everyone be "revive" and find your "blooms".
ReplyDeleteI enjoy summer vacation very much. Because summer vacation is the longest vacation of the year. We have more than fifty days to rest. Though it is very hot, we can either go to swim or stay in the air-conditioned room . In the evening, I like to go shopping with my friends. We can eat many things in summer, such as ice creams, watermelons, grapes, and so on.In summer, I always go on a trip with my parents. It's a good chance for us to visit some nice interesting places.

ReplyDeleteI dont like spring at all, thhough it seems everything is rebirth. It's the first season of the year. The sun shines everyday and the day becomes longer. There is a lot of rain in this season and everything starts to grow. But, this is a tolerated season cause my skin and nose are uncomfortable. I can't eat hot pot any more as it's too warm. I have to give up the skiing which is so fun. I don't like spring.
The flowers are blooming and the summer is coming. In my personal opinion, I think lily is the most beautiful flowers. In China, lily represents the pure and glorious. My junior year in TA is almost end. I have one year to go. I need take TOFEL and SAT. I'm worried about the future. Probably I will go western of USA for university. I hope I can go to a really good university. I hope I can live like lily.

I like spring. Because it's not very hot. Flowers start growing. Trees get leaves again. What a wonderful season it is! The flowers bloom, with the gently wind, it's so comfortable. Sometimes it also has some rain. Feeling so cool! And it's almost the final quarter of the whole school year! That means it will be a long vacation soon! We should "get up" and do some work! So, I like spring.
ReplyDeleteBlooming flowers, Light green trees. Everything woke up from the freezing snow in the spring. The spring takes off my heavy jacket and boots. She is like a beautiful fairy can't wait to give us warmness and happiness. When I looked back to my junior year, I found out we only have couple weeks left. Wow, time flies. The spring woke me up and asked me, "did you do well in your school work?" "Did you try your best ?" I want to answer yes but I down my head with my blushing face. So, I made a list for my self called the goal of spring. First I want to be happy and make people laugh. Second, I eager to have better relationship with my mother who works exhaustively. Third, getting a good great at school. The spring means start for plants, year, or animals, then I believe spring also will be a new start for myself.
