September is my favorite month. One reason is apples become ripe this month. Even though September is still a summer month - at least until the 21st - the days get cooler, the light sharper, the air drier; usually, skies are blue and the wind is light. All in all, it's a wonderful month to do outside activities like hiking, biking, walking on the beach - you name it. How about you? Do you like September, or are there other months you prefer? Why?

- I have been a language teacher (ESL/ELL, French) for 30 years. I have taught in public and private schools, immersion programs, refugee programs, adult/continuing education, elementary, middle, and high school as well as university. Currently I teach ELL at a high school somewhere in New England.
Autumn is a wonderful season. The farmers gain the harvest. The food is the require from human; therefore, it is really important and new fructification means the exhausting work for farming is end. It is really joyous and this is a new beginning. For me, it is kind of start of my new life, new school, new classes and new ambience. Also, it is my birthday month and I grow up for one year old. The weather is not too hot or cold, so we can enjoy our days. But my favorite month is March. The spring is a kind of for hope, animals and plants wake up over the winter, the ground feels prosper. All lovers make the world become sweet. Spring, full of vatality.
ReplyDeleteHi, my favorite month is March. I like it because it's very wonderful month for me. There are 3 reasons i like that month: first - i like March because my birthday in 8'th of march. Second - in March there is gorgeous holiday - women day. Third one - i like it, cause it's spring. Also in that month were too much adventures with me and my friends. Of course i like other months and seasons, exactly winter)). But as i said before my favorite is spring. In March weather becomes warmer and some people start to wear T-shirts without sweaters or jackets. Nights become shorter, while days become longer. I don't have any idea what else to write now. So, that's it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is December. Because it's winter and it will snowing! I't has a lot of fun and has the ice lantern in my hometown.Do you know ice lantern? Put the LED into ice and stick some ice together to form a pattern.It's interesting. I like the ice slides. It's so HIGH, I can take a cardboard to slide from the top. However I don't like summer. There are so many bugs in summer. And I always itchy for mosquito bites.It's very annoying.
ReplyDeleteeh..! Talking about to my favourite month, i will definitely mention October. Never have I had so much enthusiasm to live in this month cuz nothin' seems difficult to overcome. I am authentically glad to say that not only the celebration of our country's National Day is contained in it which means all the citizens have the authority to take a rest for 3 days, but also my mum's birth took place which do have me the next. Let's skip the bored part but to the point. The best reason i could of thought is my mood deeply ameliorated by the weather. Nothing i cannot say out to demand which come up in my mind. I love the steady temperature and during the short away end of the fall i don't need to worry to change the type of wearings. So, pray for October, also for all.

DeleteActually, I like March best. In my opinion, my favorite month is March Not only my birthday month, but also the best climate in the whole year. The climate in March is not very cold and not very hot, it is good for outside activities. Usually, i would like to go out and enjoy the sunshine. Also, in March, everything is fresh because most of the flowers blossom，and most of the animals come back form south. Finally, the most important thing is my birthday is in March, which is most excited!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite mouth will be February not only because it is the end of one semester but also because it is usually the start of a Chinese year. Back in the south part of China the summer is really hot so the winter is a better season for me. The most important reason I love February is because children can get pocket money during Chinese new year. At that time, adults don't have to work, kids don't have to go to school. We visit our relatives that we can not meet every often during the busy year and chat with each other. We can also see the amazing fireworks and enjoy the delicious food. Because of those reasons I really love February!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is DEC.Actually I used to like july, but I changed my mind until I came to USA.Even I cannot find the reason for my convert.In December,I enjoy the cold and quiet.We don"t have to open the air conditioning like July,when it is getting colder,I can put my warm clothes on it and go get a hot coffee.That sounds good!I have to say December bring me the "energy".I believe everyone wants to stay at their houes to spend time during the winter time.The other side is you can do more exercise in the DEC,after that,you will fell more comfortable than you do that in summer time.The reason is you have to do more work in DEC if you want to keep yourself warm.It is same as work,therefore winter bring us more work,more attention,it makes us health and happy.I like it!
ReplyDeleteTalking about my favorite month,I will forthwith choose June.If i have to find the reasons, i think the most important reason is during june we will enjoy our summer vacation,we can do whatever we want to do!We will say"byebye"to school,to our homework.Meanwhile i like watermelons,furthermore watermelons will become mature and i can taste the sweetest watermelon!Oh, of course we can go to the beach during hot summer.We are closed to "Atlantic Ocean" but everyone knows the temperature is too low, in my opinion, during summer we will not have this problem,we can freely enjoy the embrace of the ocean!i like June, but it is september right now,for now all i can do is to work hard and wait for next June's coming!
ReplyDeleteApril is my favorite month , I love april , my birthday is in april. it is a wonderful month , there are so many great music, I think most of us are energized and motivated by great music. and in april ,there were something interesting for me , I got my first basketball and a wonderful bike, I love them , and I keep them for a long time , but now , it doesn't work.and when i was 11 years old , that was my first time to show the violin that i stand in front of all the teachers and students，I'll never forget the scene, I was so nervous. I love april.
ReplyDeleteSeptember is my favorite month.If i have to find a reason,i think the most important reason is that september is the beginning of one semester.I always have a lot of things to do, so everyday can be very sufficient.Also,i can see my classmates after a long and boring summer holiday.By the way,September is the part of autumn,the temperature can be very suitable,not too cold and also not too hot,i can enjoy myself during this month.

ReplyDeleteI like September but my favorite month is January. This month is first month of New Year. January is colder month in winter and it is snowing a lot. I like January because I can play with snow and I like when it is cold because I am from Russia. In January we have vacation and it is Christmas. Christmas is holiday when you have a lot of fun and you can do so many things. When I was in Russia and it was January, I was playing ice hockey every day. In my hometown we can play ice hockey only when it is winter. It is so colder in Russia then here but I like it so much.
So January is month when you have so much fun and it is really good make some fun with your friends.

September will be my favorite month all the year. In September, it's time for all the students back to school. We can make new friends with the new students. It's a good month to communicate with others. And in September, lots of fruits will ripening, like apples, oranges and lots of sea food. I like sea food very much, maybe that's the reason why I love September so much.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't like September. I hate fall in general because it brings depression and school. I love Spring and April is my favorite month. During the spring i fell like everything wakes up from the long sleep. Sometimes during the March you don't really get this felling because of the snow which lies on the ground. Plus in April is my birthday so i get really excited when in gets to it.
ReplyDeleteActually, I like October best. It is the tenth month of a year. Here is 2 reasons why love October. First, it's fall in October. I like fall, because it's very cool. Even though when you wear jackets, you will feel cool. And leaves is very beautiful in fall. Leaves change color to yellow or red, I like colorful things. Second, my birthday is in October. I love my friends, I love my friends play with me on my birthday. That feels fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think July is my favorite month. It is the start of the summer holiday. All the classes and exams just end. So I have a lot of time to go to play tennis and golf. I have time to stay at home play video games and have a rest. And also I have time to go out with my friends. Therefore, July is my favorite month.
ReplyDeleteDecember is my favorite month in that 12 months, because the Christmas day is in the months, in December, my sister's birthday will be conducted, I love my sister's birthday because her birthday party has a lot of fun, we have a great dinner on that day and then we will going to watch movie or singing. But December also is a very cold month, so everyday at home, I will get up at 6, then I'll going to climb the mountains and having breakfast.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is June.Because in June ,I can go back China and be with my family.I always travel to many places with my family in June.It's a warm month. In this summer,I went to Hangzhou and Hongkong during June. But there are little hot.My hometown is called Spring City. When my friends complain with the weather in them hometown , I can proudly say I living in Spring City. The most important reason is because I can stay with my family and my Chinese friend in whole month. At home, my mother can cook my favorite food,I miss my mother's cook.
ReplyDeleteDecember is my favorite month. Why is it my favorite month? It is my favorite because December 19th is my birthday! Every year on that day I get presents, cake, and lots of smiles and congratulations. I always have a great time.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the presents, cake, smiles, and congratulations, but if I could spend my birthday any way I wanted, I would do something very different. Before you blow out the candles on your birthday cake, you are supposed to make a wish. I wish that I could get into a time machine on every birthday and relive the best moments of my life. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to spend a birthday?
October is my favorite month. I love the weather in October, it's cool but not strong cold, I like the feeling that sweater close to me and I enjoy the soft wind likes silk, when it blows to me i feel relaxed and comfortable. At the same time, the whole world become golden, farmers start to work, they can get their acquisition. Although most of people will think plants will die in autumn, actually it means we send away the old things and welcome new generation. It is a peace and slow month, I enjoy the sound that leaves fall down, I will follow the speed that leaves fall down and walk along the street. One more thing I found that the sky in autumn is very bule, when you look at the sky, your mood can be much better. I love cool, I love October.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite month if december, specially because in my country december means the beginning of the summer vacation, and we have chance to travel, or hang out with the friends when you want. Other reason why I like december is because in this month with have the Christmas and the New Year, I don't know here in U.S., but in Brazil is the most important time of the year. Here in U.S., I guess that June will be the most important month for me, because I will have a chance to go back to my country, and visit all my relatives and friends. About september, I don't like a lot, because is a season after the winter/summer vacation and far from the summer/winter vacation, so, it's a month to study and work hard.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is October, because this is the month when I was born. It's so wonderful to have a lot of present in this month. This month also remind me the time when I still lived in Vietnam, remind me about my friend, my family. The weather in October is not very cold or very hot, it's cool!!!. Maybe this month doesn't mean anything to somebody, but it means a lot to me. I don't really enjoy September, this month comes means we have to go to school, start studying after fews month relaxing. Anyway, September is not too bad^^!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is December. There are couple of reasons for choosing it. First of all, My birthday is in 22th December. I love to make parties, to meet my relatives and friends. Also I like to get presents. Then I love Christmas. It is snowing also. And I love it too. Last In december there is vacation. I can spend my time with my friends in December vacation. Finally, on vacation I can visit to my country, Azerbaijan. It is big reason for choosing December for my favorite month.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone does not like January, because we should come back to school from our home. But I think January is a very wonderful month. Since about 5 years old, I began to like this month. Of course, it is not my birth month. There some reasons making me appreciate January. Firstly, January can always bring me something new, because it is start of the whole year. And it can make me feel more excited. I can begin to think of my new-year resolution. Also, I love snowy days. It usually tends to snow in January. When it snows, our world will be filled with snowy white. So it will be really beautiful. We can make a snowman and play at snowball. As a result, I love January. I think it is unique.
ReplyDeleteActually, I don’t like September because it means I need to go to school and study a lot. My favorite month is July. Do you wonder why July is my favorite month? One of the reasons is that I like summer because I enjoy summing very much, and July is in the summer holiday. So I almost swim everyday with friends during the summer holiday. The other reason is to the summer, July is not only very hot but also has appropriate temperature. So I can enjoy the warm sunshine. I feel so comfortable so July is my favorite month!

ReplyDeleteI love October. It's close to September but in September it's still feels hot in sometimes. I'm afraid of hot weather. In October, it's much more cool. I always feel comfortable in this time. It's not hot and not cool. Well, in Saco, it might be a little cold for me. It's also a good time for playing sports. Whatever basketball, soccer,baseball or anything else, it's an appropriate time. Because the cool weather makes us energetic and won't be too hot. But what should be noted is we need to avoid to have a cold. What's more, I born in October.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I don't have favorite season. Because every season have their own advantages and disadvantages. Like summer is too hot but can swam, winter is too cold but can ski. I like spring because flowers in bloom, I like summer because everything in fire, I like autumn because fruits are come out, I like winter because snow will cover the world. I mean just because every season, every month gives us a colorful world.I love every single season, every single month, and every single day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is october. Frist, the reason of that is october first is my country's birthday, and we have big celebration day which is call National day, in every ten years. All citizen also can join the National Day holidays for seven days. Second, My birthday is october 6th. My homestay mother Kathie her birthday is in october, and her grandson's birthday also in october. What a coincidence! There is no way I don't love october. Last but not least, in Maine state broadleaf forest's leaves will change color. Especially, Maple forest, maple leaves glow as red as fire. That was best landscape I never see in my life. However, maple's view is only star in late october.

Actually August is my favorite month,because every year in august has no school and i all of my friend can stay with my,that makes me feel very happy. I love summer , i enjoy the sunshine ,and julep. I like outdoor sport and august is a very good time to it.that's very cool.My birthday is also in august , so every cool thing is in august, why don't i love it?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite month is July & August. Why? Because these two months are summer vacation! I can stay at home and enjoy the happy time in China. When the summer vacation is coming, I can have lots of time to relax. In China, most students study at this time. They all want to use this long vacation to learn more knowledge. But it's not good for ourself, we should go outside. Enjoying activities can make we strong and happy.

ReplyDeleteFebruary is my favorite month. Even though a weather is getting cooler, i still like it. In February the air is very dry. In winter you can do a lot of sports such as hockey, skiing and etc. I like playing hockey. Also in February a weather can be very cold, so you can spend more time for you homework. Sometimes a weather gets too gold, so we don't have school those days. My birthday is on February 9. That is one more why i like this month. It is a wonderful month to do a lot stuff outside for people who like snow.
My favorite month is october because Autumn is my favorite season and I have a lot of sweet memories during autumns. Autumn is very short, but the world always be very colorful in the limited time. In the field, we can see the lots of yellow.In the school，we can see the faded and fallen leaves. october is colder than summer and warmer than winner, the season makes us feel comfortable.We often play the basketball and running outside because when we finish the exercise we also have the extra energy to do other things.If we excise in summer, we always feel very tired. Overall, I think october is a fanatic month.

Because my birthday is the end of this month and the weather is really great, either too cold or too hot. i really enjoy have party with friends during birthday. And the school day start in this month. Anyway, September is my favorite month, I really enjoy this month.

ReplyDeleteAs far as I concerned, the most non-popular month is September, just because it is the school season. But September is my favorite month because we can meet each other again. My classmates and I always share the experience during the vacation when the first several school days come when I was in China. Though it is the first year I living in America, I have a great number of new friends and I believe we will be happy to meet each other in the next September.

My favorite month is october because is my birthday month ( this is the most important reason)
but i also like october because I like cold weather and the falling leaves, in this month we celebrate (specially in america)
a party called halloween, this is not a very famous party in Spain but i like it, so i like celebrate it. we just need to dress like a monster
o something scary and go from house to house asking for sweets, then you go back to your house with your friends and you change with
them the sweets you don' like.
