On April 15, 1912, The Titanic hit an iceberg in the north Atlantic Ocean and sank, killing thousands of people. ReplyDeleteI still feel sad when I just hear the name " Titanic". It is a big tragedy that thousands of people were killed in one moment. The first time I saw the movie was about five years ago. At that time, I just cry because the tragic love between Rose and Jack. I forgot most of the plot.
ReplyDeleteLast week, however, I went to the cinema and saw it again. It is 3D Titanic. The beginning of the movie is men who explored the sank Titanic and try to find the Heart of Ocean. But they just find a picture of a woman. The woman is Rose. Old Rose told the story of the Titanic.
The Titanic is so large and luxury that people thought it was unsinkable. No one predicted that the Titanic's first trip was its last trip. Rose and Jack met in this ship. Then, they fell in love with each other and spent the best time in their whole life. Unfortunately, the Titanic collided the iceberg. The Titanic began sinking.
It not only is the tragedy of the love between Rose and Jack, but also the tragedy of thousands of people. I saw different humanities in catastrophe: selfish, grim, cruel, kind, selfless. When the Titanic sank, thousands of people were dead because of the cold sea water. Celine Dion began to sing My Heart Will Go ON and I cried. It was like true that happened now, but I could not do anything. The power of the nature is so scary. And I don't want to take ships anymore.
It is really let me think more about the life. It is easy to go, so I will cherish the life.
(p.s. It is said that the Titanic sank because the ship took a coffin that had curse. And the Heart of Ocean is also buried with the death.)
The sinking of Titanic is because of the carelessness of people and the power of nature.The sailor didn't notice that there was an ice mountain. But it was covered with mist that day. We need to know that there isn't absolute thing. There's always something which is unexpected and unpredictable. We should have the courage to accept and face the accident of daily life. When it happens, you don't even need to ask for the reason, because that's your fate.
ReplyDeleteWe can't deny that nowadays human being has the ability to destroy the nature.Though people try to vanquish the nature and it works a little bit, when big disasters happen,such as tsunami and earthquake people have no idea with it.Thousands of people die because of them. But the nature has the same ability too. What's more, the nature creates human being. But I don't think that human can create the nature again. That's the biggest difference between two of them.
People do need to consider twice before buying the ticket, but it doesn't mean that it's dangerous because the risk exists. Do things you want, nobody can predict the future.
In my opinion, there were three reasons why 'Titanic' had finally sunk. First, the owners and captain of the ship were overconfident. They thought that the ship would never sunk because of the powerful and advanced technology. Actually, 'Titanic' sunk when it went to the sea at the first time.
ReplyDeleteSecond, they were careless. I thought they were careless because they were overconfident. They thought 'Titanic' was "unsinkable". They did not prepare enough lifeboats. When the catastrophe happened, passengers should have a chance to survive. However, they did not have enough lifeboats for everyone.Lots of people died because the owners and captain were careless.
Finally, the force of the nature is too strong. They might truly have the biggest and hardest ship in the world. They still could not won the nature. Compare with the iceberg, they were too small.
Personally, I think whatever advanced and powerful technology we have, we still need to be careful. We should show respect to the nature forever.

In my opinion, Titanic sank in the north Atlantic Ocean was not a natural accident. It might because of captain's careless or someone else's. They didn't obey the rules and made the Titanic sank. Another reason that the Titanic sank that they thought they are powerful than nature,but they were wrong.The anger of nature is very terror, it can destroy anything.When the Titanic is sailing, a crewman told a female named passengers Sylvia Caldwell on the second class:"If the god comes, he can't even sink this ship." Maybe vanity is one of the reason of the shipwreck.But the shipwreck also reflect some good spirits of people.When people were picking who can get in the lifeboat, gentlemen said:" Let the children and women get in the lifeboat first! We are in the last!" .And the band was keeping playing until they were drowned to inspire people.So no matter how powerful is the people and how advanced is the technology ,nature is always stronger then us ,we can't be too vanity,we must respect the nature.

The sinking to Titanic dues to the carelessness of helmsman who drives the cruise to the ice mountain. Everyone knows that focusing on details, but who can really get that. We have to be respect to those lost life, this unprecedented disaster remind people don’t be so confident about everything, fail can come from every small mistake. I have to say that human sometime is overconfident, and believe strongly that we can control natural power. So where are those huge numbers of dead people in earthquakes, hurricane and tsunami from? If we can forecast those disasters, we can decrease the number of dead people a lot.

ReplyDeleteI have seen the movie Titanic during the April vacation. First, the Titanic is spectacular. It is the greatest ship in the world. But it still sank. While I was watching the movie, I shocked by the sailor. They know they have responsibility and they try their best to calm the people down. There are a lot of people who just want to live and don’t considered the women and children. I don’t think the reason of the accident is that the careless captain. I was admired the captain and I think the captain was due diligence. Some human nature was showed in the movie. Someone only love the money, they think money is everything. Some people are selfish and only think about themselves. After watching the movie, I know we should shoulder our responsibility and never give up. The musician didn’t stop playing music until they sank to the bottom. Although the caption and the Titanic designer had mistakes and they were careless, they were all shoulder their responsibility. I think they are simply great in my heart.

So that i think we should take care of our life, we should live the way we want. Titanic sank in the North Atlantic on the morning of April 14, 1912, after hitting an iceberg. Of the 2200 people on board, over 1500 of them died. The passengers included some of the world's greatest millionaires.
One of the best known was John Jacob Astor. He died, as did many others as famous or nearly as wealthy as he was. The man who designed the ship was also on board and died.
It's really a sad fact to me. Because of sailors' careless, "unsinkable" became sinkable. A tiny mistake causes the death of hundreds of lives and the loss of money. The first thing I realized is all the details should be cares completely.
And I want to say, whatever how many times and how terrible passengers think, accident always comes without permission. It depends on how lucky you are( -w-
As for the natural power and human being's power, in my opinion, natural's is stronger. Human beings born from nature, live with nature. Nature could keep existent without human beings, but if human beings destroy nature, they'll be destroied at the same time.
I watched the movie Titanic weeks ago. It really moved me. Not only by the love story between Jack and Rose but also by what did people do when they faced to a horrible disaster. But now I want to talk about another point,careless.

Man proposes,god disposes. Even Titanic is called dream ship in that generation. Company should put enough lifeboat on ship so that everyone can have a chance to escape if something bad happens.At least,the most valuable things on ship are passengers' lives.

But it's kind of hard for me to say which piece really shocks me.Instead, when the catastrophe is coming , the moment that a group of the violins are playing violins, the old man and woman hug each other and lying in the bed, and the captain who kills himself after protecting others....really impress me.
This is not a lover story between Rose and Jack, this is aslo a masterpiece of humanity, duty.....

DeleteAfter watching the three-hour classical movie,I feel so impressed,though I had watched it before.Noe some ideas about love arise in my mind.As far as I can see,I can not define what love is,and even do not have a clear idea about it.Does love means duty,romantic,sex,or even the mix of the above?As to duty,I think Rose have the duty to marriage Hockley.After all they had been engaged and her mother need her to earn money for her family.And in the case of romantic,I think Hockley can bring as much as Jack to Rose.Maybe someone will say Jack has a nice personality trait.But it only shows in the emergency,if they were not that bad luck they might live a happy life.While,Rose,I think,is not very nice.When she had trouble,hhe did not tell her mother of fiance...After being saved by a stranger,she even had affair with him.It could not be accepted even in our modern sight,Strangely,I do not have these idea when watching the film,my mind was filled up with the ideas that they must have a happy ending.And I really think we can not say the ship is the most powerful technology ship easily,because nothing is perfect.

And how deep could a woman's heart be so that it keeps a secret for over 84 years without telling anyone the man she has loved, without the only picture of him, however, he retains, he retains in her heart forever. The woman's heart is as deep as the ocean, thats what firmly stamped in my mind of Titanic.

For many times ive saw the film. Everytime i am deeply touched, everytime from diffrent sites.
Facing the right to go to America with the largest and luxurious ship in the world, Rose feels like to go for a jail which could bind her to a life she doesnt like; Jack feels like to go to Paradise which would offer him many chances to lead a good life.
For the poor people it's just like a honour to get on the Titanic.
For the designer and the captain of Titanic it's a timing to praise their achievements.
Titanic, a ship of dreams, it's it carries a mount of dreams to America; and its also it which broke up all kinds of dreams.
As it begins to sink, all beautiful dreams have broken up.
Facing dead, different people have different indications.
For the designer and the Captain of Titanic its their fault to let it sink.
For the third class people, its a lucky thing to get the chance into the lifeboat for survive.
For the mother of Rose it's still a time to divise people into different boats according to their classes.
For the fiance of Rose who is Cal its still the time to use his money to drive people help him.
For Rose instead of getting into the boat she has choosen to be with Jack together.
And for Jack even at the time going to die he stills feel lucky have got the ticket so that he could meet Rose.
It's the love which keeps Rose's life on, and it's the love which indicates the worth of Jack's life.
At the end of the film the old Rose throws the diamond into the water instead of handing it over.
For her it's the only memory which could remind her of Jack, as the diamond falls into the water, the love of Rose comes also with it till it gets the bottom of the ocean
I think Titanic be known to every household and it is the most famous love story in the world. It was surprising me when i known the Titanic would show on in 3D. I was so excited and couldn't wait to watch the 3D Titanic. I rushed to the cinema when the Titanic showed on first day. The 3D Titanic amazed me certainly. The unsinkable ship was sank by hit on the iceberg. I have learned from that accident is that nothing is impossible. The Titanic still sank even though it made by the most powerful technology. I think the main reason of the Titanic sank was the owner and the captain of the ship overconfident. They don't even have enough lifeboat for the passengers. Therefore that accident killed thousand of people.

ReplyDeleteI don't know the Titanic's sinking till I saw the movie "Titanic" 5 years ago. "Titanic" is a really classic movie. The first time "Titanic" came outside in 1997, it influences lots of people and became the movie that never out of style. Now, the movie "Titanic" with the 3D. I reviewed it with a more vivid and real picture. The Titanic touches my heart deeply. I am profoundly moved by Rose and Jack's permanent love; I am profoundly moved by captain's spirit of holding his duty; I am profoundly moved by musical player's clam even the other people didn't listen. I think at that time, the titanic attracted people and instead of thinking its safety . But the "unsinkable" first put out of sea, it hade accident. Maybe at that years, the technology not like today. Or owners and captain of the ship overconfident and therefore careless. I think people must remember these. Things should not happen again now even with a lot better technology. Nature maybe is powerful, but it depend on human how to treat it. Sometimes is unexpected, but most time it depends on man. So i think people can not win the natural, because human was born by the natural and everthing we get is come from the natural. So even our technology become stronger and more developed, we still can not win the natural. This ship was thought “unsinkable”, and it was also one of the most luxurious ships in the world at that time. Because of the most advanced technology and the unprecedented scale, most of the people were confident that this ship will never sink. That’s why when people heard the sink of the Titanic on her first sail that even nobody believed. You can image that how shocked they were when they heard this news. This was one of the most tragic perils of the sea in the human’s history. In my mind, because of the overconfidence and careless, the tragedy happened. From this tragedy, we know that however the technology developed, however the powerful of the human or science, we still not stronger than the nature. The unexpected accident will happen sometime, which we cannot foresee. We must be careful and serious to everything we meet. In the story of the Titanic, I think there is still one reason why so many people would dead. Too many people wanted to take this ship to enjoy the luxurious life on the ship. One of the things that makes the Titanic so fascinating is that she represented the best of technology when she set sail on her ill-fated voyage in 1912, and it took the best of technology in the form of sonar, satellite tracking, and deep-dive technology to locate her grave 73 years later. In the early 1900's, waterborne transportation was the norm; today, satellites are taken for granted by our society. But we tend to forget the immense effort that these two technologies require to operate to their maximum potential. Until recently, the technology did not exist to locate, photograph, and explore this ship that rested two and a half miles down on the ocean floor.
ReplyDeleteBe honest, I haven't seen the movie "Titanic" before I was ready to write this journal. After I finished watching this movie, I was really moved. I can't believe that this movie is a really story. There were thousands of people died in the accident. At that time, people said Titanic was the safest boat in the world and it never sinks, but it even sank at the first time it sailed. So I think everything is not absolute and every good things may change to a bad situation quickly even though you have a lot of confidence or you think you must be able to handle it. Nobody can guess what is gonna happen next. Therefore, we need to make sure everything is in a good shape and feel peaceful if it failed. Natural can bring lots of good things, but sometimes it may make unexpected things, too.

" Titanic " was the most luxurious ship in the world. However, at that point people thought they had already achieved the nature. England was known as the world's super power in 1910s. English built that giant ship to showed her strong industrial ability and it also showed her strength and will. English had the most fashion metallurgical technology in that period of time and they also held the latest marine technology. Those technologies were considered invincible. But the sinking of Titanic warned human the real invincible item is the nature. The nature is able to destroy the overthrow any society. There were more than 1500 people paid that heavy price for the whole human nation. This accident reminded us again the nature is invincible. And it told us the metallurgical technology in 1910s was not strong, the human is not unbeaten.

When I research the information about Titanic, I think that is an unfortunate thing. From this movie I think nothing is imposable. No one can guess what wil happen next. Many people think Titanic is good our technology is powerful and advanced, but the nature always more powerful than man. Everyone should know natural can bring lots of good things, but sometimes it may make unexpected things, too.

As the result, the owners and builders of Titanic were really overconfident about its security, then led to they couldn't handle enough for any possibly oncoming danger. It tells us we don't consider everything's perfect then have no plan B in aside. For the passengers, I think they were really innocent to this tragedy, in fact, thinking twice before buying ticket isn't actually an action that everybody would do, because normally people would definitely want this ship to be safe and having a good trip, plus at that time, Titanic was a new ship that a normal person would absolutely think it's a safe and secure ship to ride on.

Besides, they don't even have enough lifeboat for people and only half of the people get in to the lifeboat. It is true that nature is always powerful than the man, but a lot of the diaster is caused by people, sometimes it is just a small mistake. We can never see what is going to happen in the future, but we can always avoid the accident before it happen. Let's avoid our careless!

He should be care of everything when the ship was running. Also, there were not enough lifeboat for the people, people who designed should consider the safety at first. He forgot to use the telescope so that his ship hit the iceberg and sank. He was the sinner of this tragedy. I don't think the passengers should thought twice before buying the tickets because everyone believed this huge ship should had a professional and excellent captain Who knew the captain would be so careless! Anyway, I think the nature are always more powerful than human-beings. No one can stop the disasters.

Many people died, that is sad. The passenger of Titanic just knew it was the most powerful ship at that time, so they thought it must be safe and fast. I think men are more powerful than nature, because if a man have a strong heart he can change the world. People have knowledge and keep learning about the world. The tragedy of Titanic was an accident, and no one knew it would happen. So, just try to be careful.

New the Titanic is renewed , they make it becomes a 3D movie . So the movie becomes popular again . Although the people in China think they don't believe love , they still are moved for the movie .

They said they have already waited 15 years since they first watched the movie . They said they wait because of the love between Rose and Jack . But I want to say 15 years ago , we just were little kids . I don't know other people , but I know 15 years ago , I was a 2 years girl . I had totally no idea about love .
So when I first time watched the movie I only paid attention on how the ship sinked. And now , when I watched the movie ,I still didn't pay a lot attention on the love . I paid more attention on the people work on the ship and stay on the ship until the ship sinked , such as the sailors .
In fact ,they don't need stay on the ship any more . They can leave , but they choose stay on the ship , helped women to escape .
I think it's more important then the love .
When someone overconfident on things, when the accident happen are serious undoubtedly. The tragic story of Titanic complete show this by it sank in the Atlantic Ocean. At that time, people thought Titanic is "unsinkable", but finally the thought are broken by the careless and overconfident. The sank of Titanic isn't coincidence, and the same tragedy happens continued. The thought of people want to challenge nature is not wrong, people really try our best to improve and develop, but is necessary to us to pay attention on how powerful nature is. ReplyDeleteI have watched the Titanic from a DVD when I was 7. In this movie, it talked about a trip from Southampton to New York. In this story, the heroine Rose doesn't want to marry her fiance. So she wants to jump into the sea to suicide. At that time, Jack saved her, and he brings her to join the common people's dancing party, draws a picture for Rose. Finally, they fall in love. But after soon, the Titanic hits an ice mountain, it makes the Titanic sink. And Jack sacrificed himself to save Rose in the end. When I see the movie, I always think it just a romantic movie to talk about the love between Jack and Rose. But now I know it was a real accident in 1912. The captain was so confident and too careless in this trip. This accident reminds us we should be careful when we do everything.

Just like the 'unsinkable' ship sank at the first trip ! We can't promise anything because none knows the destiny . In other words , you don't know the results until the end . So , we should try our best to do everything , don't just think you can't do it and give up . Why ? It is because none knows the results , you may success in what you think you can't do well ! The passengers on that ship are almost nobleman and wealthy people who have no regard for the poor but the most moving part is when people knew the ship would sink, they let the women and children get on the lifeboat first . The story is a tragedy but people are really moved when they read it where ever from the book or the movie.
ReplyDeleteThe sinking of Titanic is because of the carelessness of people and the power of nature.The sailor didn't notice that there was an ice mountain. But it was covered with mist that day. We need to know that there isn't absolute thing. There's always something which is unexpected and unpredictable. We should have the courage to accept and face the accident of daily life. When it happens, you don't even need to ask for the reason, because that's your fate.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the developing and advanced technology, people are easy to get lost in this busy world. The sinking to Titanic dues to the carelessness of helmsman who drives the cruise to the ice mountain. Everyone knows that focusing on details, but who can really get that. We have to be respect to those lost life, this unprecedented disaster remind people don’t be so confident about everything, fail can come from every small mistake. I have to say that human sometime is overconfident, and believe strongly that we can control natural power. So where are those huge numbers of dead people in earthquakes, hurricane and tsunami from? If we can forecast those disasters, we can decrease the number of dead people a lot.

I'm more interested in the fallability (look it up) of technology, and the human arrogance that leads to avoidable disasters like the Titanic's sinking, than in your opinion of the movie starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. But at least the movie showed some of the real life problems that led to the catastrophe.
ReplyDeleteI havn't watched the Titanic before so couple weeks ago I went to watch the new one it's amazing and makes me cry the two character love each other and they died together the movie shows a great love lovers should be like that, but acturally nowday lovers are not like that , in my opinion if you love someone you should only love her you can't both fall in love with two person , I won't do that, Titanic is a great movie I strongly recommend people watch that movie!

ReplyDeleteTitanic was not "unsinkable" because a lot of people died, but right now i think we have last and most powerful technology.
I think people didn't think twice before buying a ticket because it was a big ship and all people wanted to go to Titanic.
Is nature always more powerful than man because we have trouble with nature every day right now. Nature is major in a world.
I don't know about Titanic a lot because i saw movie when i was 13 years old, but i want to see this movie.
I didn't see the movie named "Titanic". However, I know that "Titanic" sank, and a lot of people died.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion "Titanic" was not "unsinkable" because nature has power than any technologies which people have made. It was one of the marvelous dreams to go on "Titanic". Despite this fact, people should have thought before they went on that huge ship. I don't want to blame anybody because it already happened. At that time, people were thinking that "Titanic" was the most powerful ship in the world. People who lived at that time didn't see enough good technologies. This is a reason why people thought that they couldn't die on that ship.
The capitan of the ship was unaware that this kind of huge ship could sink. The nature always has more power. You will never know what can happen to you when you use "technology against nature." In our time the inventions are better, but we still have problems. There are a great deal examples such as plane crashes, ships continue to sink,etc.
You will never know what can happen to you, but you always can think before you do something. "Titanic" is an example of what I wrote before.
I didn't see this movie, because I don't have time to go to the cinema. But I know Jack and Rose dead in the end. They love each other very much. But the cruises going to be sink. Titanic is the biggest cruises in that century. But sometimes, a big cruises will be sink. how about you? May be sometimes something will happened on you. How can you solve? And if a person who is the most important one in your life, you only can choose one live, what will you do? I don't know why I always didn't go to see the famous movies, like Transformers, Avatar,Harry Potter, so on. May be I think they are too hard to understand.
ReplyDeleteI heard one opinion is that some people think Titanic is a conspiracy. Because at that time there was a old ship look like the same as Titanic, some people think White Star Line exchange these two ships and get lots of money from the insurance company by accident. On another hand, I think nature can beat human now, but in the future, people should learn how to live with nature power and how to use them( like use storm, rain etc.) instead of escape from them. I think the people died in the accident were really innocent. So, sometimes the faith is really Incredible.

ReplyDeleteI think this is very regrettable.So many people have different opinion for Titanic sank. No matter what, it is tragedy for hold world. A director made a romantic story for Titanic, and somebody think it is UFO attack boat. Or nature with man.I batter like enjoy the Titanic romantic story. Since everything is past. I don't want to spend more time to think why the Titanic hit an iceberg. And I think nature aways win human. nature can easily destroy anything. We can do just keep safe and prepare batter.
Such as we can survive in The Hurricane, but nobody can stop it.We need use new way to see nature, and learning with nature.
