Journal Question #37 (2010-2011)
It's time to say goodbye, which is not an easy thing to do. At this time of year, as seniors graduate and everyone goes home for the summer - and, in some cases, never to return to TA - you can feel a little sad. People you are used to seeing everyday, you won't see again for awhile, or perhaps at all. Use this last journal to say your goodbyes!

From Carlota -It is incredible how fast this year passed, I will miss everybody so much, I just want to say thank you everyone for being so nice with me. I had a lot of fun in ELL class this year and this year became one of the best experince of my life and I will never forget it. I will cry soo much the last day of school, I have a mis feelins I do not know if a should jump of happiness or cry of sadness.
ReplyDeleteAlso Mr. Griffin you are one of the best teachers that ever had, I learned a lot in your class and also enjoyed soo much to be your student, I just want to thank you for everything that yu did for me, because ypou heped me in everything, and I do not what i would do without you, I wish you the best, and I hope to see you again in Spain or here....

It always tough to say goodbye. I can't Image some of my friends who live with me almost two years, already left and maybe I am never gonna see again. But change over time, as people know, we live in a group, and this group always as same size, someone out of it, others have to fill in. That's the reason makes our life keep being interesting. We never know who are we going to meet next second. Thanks God, I met them in my life, I can remember this memories when I lying on the couch as a senior. I rejoice I met them in my life. Because these past two years, I was very happy.
ReplyDeletesay goodbye is not an easy thing to do. I can't believe that all the seniors have already gone. As Melo said we may never see each other again. I will miss them so much. But too bad that i have to do that every year. That's how ours lives like. People just come and go.

Its never been easy to say goodbye . First time i said it to all my friends in China before i came here . And second time i said it to all the seniors. Its funny that how things got brought up again after seniors left. Like you will see those really old pictures that you might see 10 times, but this time you see it, you see it differently.You see it with brought up memorie, you see it with a hint of goodbye.
ReplyDeleteBut also some time you don't even have a chance to say good bye. You don't even know last time you saw him, might be the last time you will see him. Cause people left without a goodbye.

ReplyDeleteJust only 1 week left and I have to say goodbye for someone who will not return TA next year like Coco, Alejandro, Sunny, and I already said goodbye to 15 seniors who already left TA. It's not easy to say goodbye but I will remember everything from the first day I came here till forever. It's always the best memory ever to be friends with you guys and study here, in US, in TA and in our ELL3 class. Next year, I'm not going to study with you, Mr.Griffin anymore but I will miss you and you'are always the teacher that I really respect.

Say goodbye for the senior was so hard for me. When the seniors left, I even could believe that we've been together for about 2 years and we're probably never see each other again. I miss all the seniors so much.
ReplyDeleteSome people never come back to TA again, but I don't understand. Sunny's gonna leave, Alex(Spain) is gonna leave. I cried when I heard Sunny never come back to TA.
But different people has different choice, they have their own way to do. I hope everyone has a better life next semenster
Say good bye to all the senior. Actually it is a hard time for me, we have been living together for a year, we are brothers and sisters. I remembered I cried for the seniors.I can't believe my first year in TA have almost done. I learn a lot from seniors,such as Jason, Chou. I really want to thank them for giving me a good experience and a fantastic year in TA.

But we still need to move on, we have our life to decorate, and I hope all the seniors,sunny and my crazy roommate Alex will be successful in their life. And I see you guys.....

ReplyDeleteOk,get back to the topic.There is one week left and I need to say goodbye to America and say hi to my China.It's so excited because I miss my family and friends so much.We all already said goodbye to all the seniors,although I am just here for half an year,but it's still so sad to see lots of people left.As everyone knows Sunny,Coco and Alejandro,they are not coming back next year.I do feel bad that Sunny is leaving,because a lot of people mix us up (even you ,Mr.Griffin)It's so funny when people call Sunny 'Star' and call me'Sunny'.We become good friend and did the final presentation together.
Tomorrow is our last Maroon day! And my last ELL2 class.I am happy that I can take CP English next year.But,I think I will miss everyone in ELL2,especially Mr.Griffin.(LOL)I really learnt a lot from here.
Also,this the time for me to say goodbye to my hostfamily.I am going to live in the dorm next year.This a really nice time to live in that cozy house.We laugh a lot.And actually I learnt a NICE american joke from them.I think I will miss them a lot!

Say good bye to someone that you have been living with for a full year, yeah it’s truth that sometimes you get mad with him or her and u argue with him but you after a year living with someone you end up loving him… probably for my the hardest thing about leave the dorm is to say bye to Allen even if out side the dorm we are not together and stuff he is the one that I most speak with he kind of know how I’m. Yes I’m going to miss him, we are completely different but I don’t know why I still love him and he has always help me with everything, its right that we have discussed a lot but I’m still going to miss him even when at the beginning of the year he just woke me up every single day of the weekend at 8 because he wanted to study. Allen I hope I’ll see you again.

ReplyDeleteSay good bye to all the senior. Actually it is a hard time for me, we have been living together for a year, we are brothers and sisters. I had a lot of fun in ELL class this year and I'm going to take CP English next year and I will never forget it. I had learnt many useful things here and I had my happiest time here. There had my favourite teacher. I met my best friends there. My teachers who had taught me were very nice and kind. Now remember all of my teachers were all think for us and always done good things for us.

ReplyDeleteAt seniors' graduation, I cried when I hugged them. We come from different cities, and we will study in different states. Once we say goodbye, it may means we will never see each other. But after that, whenever I go, I will have friends. When I go to other cities, my friends will recommend the best local food, which I can never find by myself.
Allen, Star and Gavin. Thanks for remembering me. I feel like I am kind of brutal to make this decision. My friends are here, my boyfriend is here. I can't even give this decision a suitable reason.
Mr.Griffin, Ms.Sheehan, Ms.Paridas and Ms.Corrigan. My a bunch of friends, you guys create my best unforgettable memories.
Moving on! But this is most important to us. We can't just indulge in what we had before.
I do appreciate god let me meet you guys. This year in TA is the best year ever.
Some old friends have gone, some new friends will come. We said good bye on the party and feel sad.

I said a lot "good bye" this month because everyone were graduated. Not only my frineds in TA but also my classmates in China. Also, the Chef Michael. It's hard to say good bye to someone who you love and you see every day. One years ago, I said good bye to my friends and parents to come here. It's been a hard time for me. This time, It still the same. I don't like to say good bye. However, I think good bye means another new thing or new life begin. I hope they (my friends) can have a good future.

ReplyDeleteSeniors graduated last week. Although I just met them for less than a year, it is hard and sad to say goodbye to them. I will miss them a lot!
And I will say goodbye to my home-stay in a few days, because I am going to live in the dorms next year. I live with them for half year. They take care of me really good. Thank you very much.
Also, I am going to say goodbye to ELL class today. Today will be our last ELL class, but we will have the final exam. Hope it won’t be so hard!! I will miss you a lot Mr. Griffin. You are the best teacher in my mind. If you could make all the quiz easier, you would be much better~~~ But I know that’s impossible. HaHa..

ReplyDeleteIt is always hard to say goodbye. It is one of the words that I don't like the most. Instead of saying goodbye I would always prefer saying see you next time. I am missing the seniors but on the other hand I am looking forward for the new friends that are coming this fall.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure that I would miss the ELL3 class a lot. I am certain that this class is the one which I have most of the fun. I will miss this class and Mr. Griffin. But still we still be able to see each other in school which is really good.

in every second, there are some people are saying good bye to each other. most of people must think that saying good bye is sad and painful. but for me, it is not sad at all. do you think i am cruel and cold? let me explain.
ReplyDeletein my opinion, if i really love someone and miss someone out of control, i am positively sure that i will use all the approach i can achieve to meet him or her again. and i think, as long as everybody is alive, it couldn’t be difficult to find and meet a person in our small world. because now all the traffic are convenient and it doesn’t matter if we live apart far away. and we have lots of stuff like cell phone, facebook or email to stay in touch in any second. so why i need to feel sad? time and distance are not a big problem at all as long as you really hope to meet this person.
if you say, “i am busy”, “i cannot pay for the trip”, or you find some other excuse that you could not meet this person again, that only shows you are not miss this person that much. “ i am busy” means this person is not as important as your job. “i cannot pay for the trip” means you are lazy to earn money for your trip to meet this person or you think there is somewhere else worth more for you to spend your money. so if you don’t care about this person that much, how come you feel sad to say good bye?

ReplyDeleteThe last ELL Journal. So so so sad! This is my last time to be here, and also after June 19th 2011. I will not be a ELL student anymore. No card game, no guess game, no... I will miss this class, also miss everyone was helped me during this class. Mr Griffin, Mrs Englund... I feel it's so hard to say goodbye to something u was spent almost two years on it. Everything past just like yesterday. We look like just come to TA. Well I always said everything are possible and everything can be change. But one thing no one can change even God. It is time the past time never come back, and the future is always waiting for you. I will try me best to remember everything Mr Griffin had teach us. And use them in my CP english journal. The old journal for me is almost at the end. The new chapter is begin. I wish everyone can be much better than now. And also I wish Mr Griffin will be get more and more experience about how to teach international students, and to be more fashion and more professional. More challenges are coming! Are you ready?
